Update – Valorant patch 1.11 is returning at 8:00 PT on November 02.
After things went south with the VALORANT 1.11 patch, Riot has announced new release dates for the update.
1.11 patch was supposed to bring massive changes to the VALORANT landscape and included the debut of a fresh map alongside a new agent, namely Skye. The latter was the major part of the hype, but all of it was swiftly washed away as the update itself was a bug galore.
“In 30 minutes, we’ll be rolling back the patch for North America, Brazil, and LATAM (one at a time). We’re also delaying all other regions until we get a fix. We know we’ve said this every patch, but thanks for sticking by. We’ll redeploy later in the week once we can figure out a less disruptive time for the VALORANT First Strike Qualifiers (and have a solution, obviously). If you started the Skye character contract, you won’t be able to progress until we patch again.” read their Tweet.
What Went Wrong?
Players faced performance issues, fps drops, and weird ones like a player’s screen getting flooded by the texture of Sage whenever they walked into Omen’s smoke. Stuttering while taking a gunfight was yet another persistent issue that remains unattended.
Riot rolling back the update was a rather easy solution, however, they have given their word to redeploy this update sometime later this week for players to enjoy Skye again. In the meantime, the character contract for Skye has been put to a halt and no progress will be noted unless the patch is redeployed.
