What Happened to SkylineTV? Adam Wolke’s Last Stream, Hospital Weeks and Tributes

Adam Wolke, known as SkylineTV, died after a brain haemorrhage. Here is his final stream, the hospital weeks, the age conflict and how Knossi and MontanaBlack paid tribute.

What happened to SkylineTV? Adam Wolke, the German IRL streamer behind the channel, died in October 2026 after a ruptured brain aneurysm caused a severe brain haemorrhage. Jens “Knossi” Knossalla and Verena Ullrich announced his death on Instagram on October 20. Ullrich later told her Twitch viewers he had spent about three weeks in hospital before he died.

That last detail changes how the story reads. The first wave of coverage made it sound sudden. German follow-ups since then show a slower picture: a final stream in late September where he talked about strange symptoms, weeks in hospital that close friends kept private, and then the announcement. Here is everything confirmed so far, what is only reported, and where the facts still conflict.

What happened to SkylineTV?

Wolke suffered a severe brain haemorrhage after an aneurysm in his brain ruptured. That cause comes straight from the joint statement that Knossi shared on his Instagram account with Verena Ullrich, who several German outlets describe as Wolke’s girlfriend. The pair said they stayed at his side until the end, called themselves deeply shaken and asked fans to respect the privacy of his family and closest friends.

Wolke’s management confirmed the death when asked, according to Bild and the dpa news agency. Knossi added a short line of his own under the post: “We will never forget you, you are irreplaceable!”

No funeral details have been made public. Given the privacy request, that is unlikely to change, and TalkEsport will not speculate about it.

SkylineTV timeline: from the last stream to the announcement

We pieced this together from the Instagram statement and from what Ullrich, Knossi and Zarbex have said on their own streams, as reported by German media. Dates marked “reported” have not been confirmed by the family or management.

What did Adam Wolke say about his symptoms in his last stream?

His last solo IRL broadcast came from the pumpkin exhibition at Ludwigsburg Palace, near Stuttgart. Clips from it spread on TikTok and X after his death.

On that stream, Wolke told viewers that the evening before he had felt a strong headache and something he called a painless migraine, then saw black spots across his vision while he could still make out everything around him. When he lay down, he said, he felt drunk even though he had not had any alcohol. By the time he went live he felt fine apart from being exhausted. He wondered out loud whether an eye laser operation about two weeks earlier, or a long time under bright lights, could explain it.

Did those symptoms point to the aneurysm? Nobody can say that from a stream clip. Neurologist Christoph Kleinschnitz of University Hospital Essen told Bild he did not see them as the typical warning signs. Doctors quoted elsewhere in the German press said a direct link cannot be settled from the outside.

What health services say about brain aneurysm warning signs

Most brain aneurysms never cause symptoms unless they burst, according to the NHS guide to brain aneurysms. A rupture usually starts with a sudden, agonising headache that the NHS calls a thunderclap headache, and it is a medical emergency. Mayo Clinic adds that a small leak can sometimes come days or weeks before a larger bleed. If you or someone near you gets a sudden, severe headache unlike any before, call your local emergency number. In India that is 112.

How old was SkylineTV? Why reports say 36 and 38

Most English coverage and the first German reports, including Bild and the dpa agency copy, give his age as 36. A second group, including TV Movie, web.de and OK Magazin, says 38. His German Wikipedia entry lists a birth date of October 3, 1988, which would make him 38.

Neither the Instagram statement nor his management has given an age or a birth date publicly. Until one of them does, both numbers are second-hand. We have kept the age out of our headline for that reason.

Who was Adam Wolke? SkylineTV’s career in IRL streaming

Wolke worked as a programmer before streaming took over. In 2013 he started broadcasting mobile full-HD streams from the street, years before phone streaming was easy, which is why German media now call him one of Europe’s earliest IRL streamers. He lived in Frankfurt, took viewers to places like Finland and Jordan, and later pushed into 4K and 360-degree broadcasts. Since 2017 he visited a new location almost every week, according to the SkylineTV fan wiki.

By 2026 his SkylineTV LIVE brand had about 265,000 followers on Twitch, around 134,000 YouTube subscribers and roughly 120,000 on Instagram. His bigger influence was behind the camera. Through his own production company he ran remote and outdoor streams for Knossi, MontanaBlack and Trymacs, including MontanaBlack’s Snow Dome events in 2023, 2024 and 2025, according to the official SkylineTV website. Anyone curious where IRL creators stream today can compare the two big platforms in our Twitch vs Kick 2026 viewership breakdown.

Viewers outside the production world knew him from Knossi’s shows. He moved into the first Big Brother Knossi Edition in December 2023, then won the second edition, which ran from October 25 to 27, 2024 on Twitch and Joyn. Austrian outlet Weekend also reports that he was best man at Knossi’s wedding.

How did Knossi, MontanaBlack and the streaming community react?

The reaction from German Twitch was immediate and personal. Zarbex broke down live while confirming the news, then said a few close friends had known about Wolke’s condition for a while and hoped he would recover. Max Schradin told his chat that Knossi’s post was sadly true and asked people to protect the family’s privacy. MontanaBlack posted a photo of the two of them in his Instagram story, saying Wolke had gone far too soon.

Verena Ullrich went live for about three hours a few days later. She described the hospital weeks as a downward spiral and said she held his hand through his final night. Knossi’s wife Lia wrote under the announcement that Wolke would always remain their child.

Not every comment was kind. Streamer Tanzverbot publicly told off some of his own fans over tasteless remarks about the death. On Wolke’s own site, fans turned the chat forum into an informal memorial.

The next public tribute will come at MontanaBlack’s winter event at the Snow Dome in Bispingen, which Wolke’s team produced for three years in a row. MontanaBlack said on stream that the event was the highlight of Wolke’s year.

It has been a heavy few weeks for gaming communities. TalkEsport has also covered the deaths of League of Legends world champion Cyanide, Free Fire MAX caster Onspot and French Counter-Strike veteran Malek.
