NiP launches “Path of a Ninja” talent program

Legendary Swedish organization Ninjas in Pyjamas has launched a talent program called “Path of a Ninja” focused on grooming young Swedish talents for the top-flight of CSGO.

Every professional player who has climbed the treacherous mountain of professional Counter Strike, know that getting to that level needs the hard work of a lifetime. NiP looks to pickup talents who are willing to put in the effort and shape them into future stars.

Participants of the Swedish CS:GO tournament Elitserien will be scouted by the NiP jury; who will decide on two to three players to enroll in the “Path of a Ninja” program. The jury will feature NiP’s coach Björn “THREAT” Pers, NiP’s COO Jonas Gundersen, Area Academy’s CEO Tommy “Potti” Ingemarsson, and Area Academy’s head of education Fredrik “JAEGARN” Andersson. 

The players will be allowed to continue with their current teams, however, the program will offer them resources like workshops and boot camps at NiP headquarters. The experienced minds at NiP will take these talents under their wing which will make it much easier for these players to tap into their hidden potential.

The reason we became so successful during my first session in NIP 20 years ago is because we picked up young talents who we saw huge potential in. It feels like a full circle for me to start up this project together with NIP. Area Academy has been working so hard for many years to give Elitserien its current status, and I’m comfortable that we’ll find the stars of tomorrow in it

Now that teams are normalizing 6 man rosters, putting CS closer to other traditional sports, these players will have even more opportunities in the future. Teams will likely look for young players as their 6th man to be used as a substitute and gradually promote them to a starter stop as they continue to pick up the experience needed.

Twitch Streamer ‘JayKirky’ Attacked By Invaders, Threatened With Gun

Jaykirky who is a popular name among the twitch community was recently threatened with various weapons while he was streaming Resident Evil on the morning of 4th December.

The UK- based streamer was live when he heard a noise coming nearby. Initially he was confused but when he went on to look, sounds of smashing glass and shouting could be heard to all his viewers who were watching him at that time. After sometime, Jay came back to his room and looked very scared and explained what had happened to all his viewers.

He said “someone smashed my window…the guy had a f***ing machete..I can’t call the police because they just pointed the gun at my head…it’s 5 o’clock in the morning, I don’t know what to do.” He also explained how he thought it was his neighbors, adding that he lived in a dodgy apartment complex.

He told all his viewers how he was confronted by a man wearing a balaclava who was with two other people holding a machete. Jay was told not to say anything while they realized that they were in the wrong place and he was not the person they were looking for.

After the intruders left, Jay said how he was in complete shock and was thankful that he was still alive. He also added how he did not intend to stay at his flat in the future and will be choosing his next options wisely after what he had experienced recently.

Dataminers Leak Upcoming Valorant ‘BlastX’ Collection

The new ‘Sensation’ skin bundle has just hit the in-game stores of Valorant, and it looks like dataminers have already found out hints towards the next skin bundle in the competitive shooter.

According to Valorant Leaks on Twitter, the upcoming weapon skin collection will be named the ‘BlastX collection’ and will be available to purchase from December 23rd. They have also shared an old image of a skin from the collection. “This is most likely not how the skin looks now, just how it used to look,” they said in a tweet.

Riot Games also shared a video today through their official Twitter handle that seems to confirm this theory. “Get ready to BLAST,” the caption said.

Valorant Leaks further added that Play Zilla was added as an official sponsor on the Valorant First Strike Liquipedia page.

The gaming content creator and PUBG Mobile Pro Tanmay ‘Scout’ Singh completely departs from the European esports organization Fnatic. Scout was among the very first players to get signed by Fnatic when they arrived in India and one of their star players finally parts ways with the roster.

Scout is one of the biggest personality in the PUBG Mobile and Indian Gaming community as a whole. He has been a part of Fnatic since the very start where the star-studded lineup of Team XSpark was picked by Fnatic as a bid to enter the mobile gaming market in India.

His departure from the lineup may not be very surprising for many as there have been many instances of internal issues between the players and management. This announcement officially marks the end of Scout’s journey under the Fnatic as he will no longer represent the Black and Orange.

Fnatic was the very first international organization that entered the PUBG Mobile esports scene in India and their roster was filled with potential. The roster however faced a rocky path after and did not live up to the expectations of their fan base. The did grab some wins along the way and even won the PMAS 2019 trophy but eventually, their performance dropped down in the first half of 2020.

Scout was also loaned to another organization Orange Rock for the PUBG Mobile World League: East where his performance alongside the new team was top-notch. The roster event went toe-to-toe against the reigning champions Bigetron RA and almost snatched their title. This was the best performance any Indian PUBG Mobile team has ever put up on an international stage and while the other half of the world was not competing, Orange Rock still did an amazing job to leave a mark with their output at the event.

This departure opens up a large number of possibilities for Scout and it is highly possible that the player might join Orange Rock as a player or may look to nurture his own team XSpark who won PMCO India 2020. Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 brings weekly challenges and hidden NPCs all around the map. The addition of NPCs raised a few questions, but they are present for good reason, as Fortnite introduces a new way to hand out quests.

How to complete bounties?

Look for an NPC on the map, a small speech bubble should appear guiding you to the nearest one. Upon finding one interact with it. An interaction with them will offer you quests like eliminating a certain player, scoring takedowns, visiting POIs.

If you pick up a quest of eliminating a player, the game will offer you a picture along with a marker on the player to help you track him down in the given time. Once you are tasked with eliminating a player, the game will notify your prey as well making it much harder. Completing such quests will reward you with gold bars.

On the off chance that a NPC does not offer any Fortnite bounties, look for another NPC on the map. NPC are in abundance, there by making it easy for you to find one if things doesn’t go as you hoped with the former. They are spread all over the map, across the entirety of the island so its nothing to worry about.

miHoYo keeps pleasing the millions of Genshin Impact fans around the world with constant updates that keep them engaged. With the upcoming conclusion of Update 1.1, rumors and leaks building up to the 1.2 updates are enough to build hype among the fans.

“New Features and QoL:” according to the reddit thread.

  • The biggest and most important feature of the update is the reputation system. Each region will have its own reputation level with its own special rewards. Your rep level will increase as you explore, do side quests in the region, and do the new “bounties” and “requests” which we have no info on as of yet. To help track exploration your map will also have completion percentages per area of the map. Increasing your rep will unlock various features and benefits, profile cards, new cooking recipes, blacksmithing/alchemy recipes for brand new items listed in the later item section, and for Mondstadt reaching level 8 gives you a new glider skin! I think this new system will add quite a bit more new content for people as they try to max out their rep for each region. For the people who are asking whether this’ll be retroactive, your current exploration percentage is already being tracked what with your collected chests and oculi, and the quests you’ve already completed will obviously count towards the reputation system as well.
  • The ability to lock weapons and artifacts so you don’t accidentally trash them.
  • A compendium allowing you to view info on flora and fauna within Teyvat.
  • A camera lock setting so it stops automatically zooming or rotating itself.
  • Excess EXP overflow when leveling weapons will be translated into ore if possible instead of completely wasted.
  • Characters on expeditions will no longer be unavailable for use in the party.
  • Ability to store your daily resin as Condensed Resin. This way, if you don’t want to play one day you can log on and store your resin to be used later. You can also now spend 40 resin within domains to get double rewards, meaning you only need to do 3 runs to use all your resin up instead of playing it 6 whole times.
  • Sadly, I’ve found no proof of a way to change the Traveler’s element without going to a Statue of the Seven :<
