Battlegrounds Mobile India sending your data to a Chinese Server: Report

Recently, Krafton has released the early open-access of the Battlegrounds Mobile India for the beta testers. The game is yet to be officially released in India and for ios users.

It is expected for the game to be released for android and ios users soon. It has not been more than one week since the game’s early access release, the PUBG Mobile rebranded version has gotten into controversy. According to IGN’s latest report, data from the Battlegrounds Mobile India android devices might be sent to Chinese servers, Tencent-run Proxima Beta in Hong Kong.

The report states that some IGN India readers found with the anonymity that data has been sent and received by the Battlegrounds Mobile India APK is from China Mobile Communications servers in Beijing, the Tencent-run Proxima Beta in Hong Kong, as well as Microsoft Azure servers located in the US, Mumbai, and Moscow.

The team investigated by installing a data packet sniffer app on their Android phones. Which helps to know which servers any particular device communicates with.

They set it to log all servers that Battlegrounds Mobile India would talk to when playing the game. After playing the entire match, it revealed one of the servers run by China Mobile Communications Corporation and located in Beijing, China.

Although, Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India terms of service states that personal information of players would be stored and processed on servers based in India and Singapore, it also mentions that the company may “transfer your data to other countries” in order to meet “legal requirements”. But transferring players data into the servers run by Chinese company can land the developers into problem.

To let you know, On September 2nd 2020, Government of India banned PUBG Mobile along with another 117 Chinese apps. The major reason for the game’s ban was the presence of the Chinese entity of Tencent Games. Once again, the presence of another Chinese company in the game could delay its release.

Epic Games recently announced the Thanos Cup event, where you can get the chance to earn Thanos Outfit as well as an Infinity Gauntlet Bling. The Thanos Cup event is scheduled to take place on June 21 in all regions. 

How to play Thanos Cup in Fortnite?

According to Epic Games’ blog post:

Grab your Duos partner and compete in up to 10 total matches in 3 hours to earn as many points as you can. The top-performing teams in each region will earn the Thanos Outfit and Back Bling inspired by Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame. For anyone who earns 8 total points, you’ll receive the Thanos Watches! Spray.

Note: It may take several days before prizing can be rewarded to all players.

Players will need a Fortnite Level 30 account and must have two-factor authentication enabled to play this limited time mode.

With the highly anticipated Valorant Episode 3 nearing its release, fans are growing eager to know more about what’s to arrive in the massive update. Luckily, it seems like we may already have an idea of what the next Valorant map will be like. 

Twitter user Cynprel has posted a theory on how the Episode 3 Battle Pass might be teasing the upcoming Valorant map ‘Testing Grounds’.

The tier-42 player card in the Episode 3 Battle Pass, Testing Grounds, features a landscape that seems to be a sort of canyon or valley reminiscent of Southwestern US. Cynprel suspects that this might be a tease for the new map. 

“No doubt there is Radianite present here, waiting to be stolen,” the user states, identifying a Radianite hazard symbol in the player card. 

Previously, we have seen Valorant developers hiding teasers for upcoming maps and agents in the contents of their Battle Passes. The recently released map, Breeze, was no exception to these teasers either.

However, Riot Games hasn’t confirmed any of the above-mentioned speculations regarding the potential new map ‘Testing Grounds’ as of yet.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is officially launched in India in an open beta phase. The game is open-for-all if players enroll themselves as testers on Google Play Store. Even if the players get their old accounts back, all their HUD and sensitivity settings are lost. Here is a simple guide to help you set up your own sensitivities once again.

Krafton launched Battlegrounds Mobile India as an alternative to PUBG Mobile in the country. The developers even gave an option for players to get their old account of PUBG Mobile migrated to this new game. While the data migration transferred most of the important data, minor things like player HUD and sensitivity settings were not ported.

Players who were comfortable with their own set of sensitivities over the last couple of years have lost them and everybody needs to reset them in BGMI. Some standard sensitivities are mentioned below. Players should tweak them as per their own preferences to attain a perfect set.

All of these values will act as a baseline and you will need to adjust them as per your own game style. Players who prefer to play on fast sensitivities must increase the values and those who prefer to have more control over their aim can lower these values. Make sure to try them on training grounds before directly jumping into ranked matches.

Krafton has released the guidelines on the role of conduct for players while playing their latest title Battlegrounds Mobile India. These rules are only applicable to Indian players and are quite similar to PUBG Mobile and its various versions. Most of the violations will lead to a permanent ban on a player’s in-game account.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is the latest battle royale game developed by Krafton to take the place of PUBG Mobile in the country. The game is very similar to PUBG Mobile and its early access is open-for-all in the country. Players need to become testers in order to download the game.

Hacking and cheating have always been serious issues in gaming. Various titles have faced the issue of hackers since the very start and the developers always try to be vigilant and curb hacking. Krafton is taking early measures to prevent such exploits by releasing strict guidelines.

The criteria of misconduct have various branches and each one has its own penalty. Here is a complete list of violations that can lead to an account ban over a period of at least 30 days to an indefinite amount of time.

PMPL Americas Championship Day 3: Match Recap, Overall Standings, and more

The third day of the PMPL Americas Championship concluded today. Knights took back their number one spot and is leading the overall standings with 115 kills and 255 total points at the end of the third day, followed by Ghost Gaming with 94 kills and 200 total points. INTZ finished at the third spot with 160 points including the 54 kill points.

PMPL Season 3 2021 Americas Championship is a four-day event where the top 16 teams from North America, Brazil, and Latam will compete with each other. PMPL Americas is scheduled to held from June 17th to 20th 2021. The teams will compete for a massive prize pool of $150,000 and the champions title. Each team will play a total of 24 matches in four days (6 matches each day). The table topper of the overall standings will be the PMPL Americas Champion. For each ‘Winner Winner Chicken Dinner’ teams will be awarded $500 and the MVP of the tournament will get $6,000 as a reward.

PMPL Americas Championship Day 3 Match Recap

The first match of the day was played in Erangel, Knights took the chicken dinner with 11 kills followed by Team Queso with 7 kills. The second game on Sanhok was won by Passion Fruit Esports who who only managed to take three kills. However, Team Queso finished at the number one spot due to its high kills (12) game. Irmaos Metralha took the chicken dinner in the third match on Miramar with 10 kills. Knights secured the second spot with 10 kills.

The fourth match of the day was played in Erangel, which was won by Passion Fruit Esports with 8 kills. Alpha 7 Esports emerged as the champions in the fifth match with 13 kills. Irmaos Metralha and Estorm Gaming took the second and third spot with 5 and 6 kills. The last match of the day was won by Knights with massive 14 kills followed by Estorm Gaming and Furious Gaming with 3 and 4 kills respectively.

PMPL Americas Championship Day 3 Overall Standings

With only 6 more matches left in the PMPL Americas Championship. Each team will be looking to finish at the top of the overall leaderboard at the end of the day. Day 4 will commence tomorrow with the same set of teams.

Amouranth in the past has suffered for her suggestive content, most notably when Twitch demonetized her channel to crack down on “Hot Tub” streams, even after re-monetization her earnings are nowhere near as they used to be.
