PGL Stockholm Major is closer to happening and most restrictions are lifted

The Swedish Public Health Agency, in a press conference earlier today shed light on new developments that were music to CSGO fans.

Swedish Minister of Culture and Democracy Amanda Lind, said that the COVID-19 restrictions that were in place until now will be reduced come September 29. This comes as a sigh of relief as there was a huge shadow of doubt on whether the Major will even happen or not.

The removal of these restrictions also allows venues to host Public gatherings such as concerts and other events with 15,000 people present. Such an atmosphere is perfect for a CSGO Major as the event thrives on the fans and their explosive support.

With IEM Fall RMR on the horizon, which is also set to take place on LAN in Stockholm, the news couldn’t have come at a better time. The Swedish Government already relaxed the restrictions surrounding the entry for players from other countries when NiP CEO, Hicham Chahine, along with lawyers fought to include esports players under the label of Athletes, so they could be granted their visas for the Major.

Since a Major includes teams from every continent bar Antarctica of course, this is welcome news for PGL and Valve as well.

The full list of restrictions being lifted is as follows:

  • Restrictions on participation in public gatherings and public events in the Restrictions Ordinance will be removed. The exception is events with over 15,000 participants.
  • The participation restriction for private gatherings held in premises, areas or spaces for rent is removed.
  • Indoor concerts at restaurants are allowed.
  • The Swedish Public Health Agency’s advice on working from home is removed.
  • In restaurants, regulations on opening hours, restrictions on the size of parties and distances between tables are abolished.

The Ericsson Globe, which is now the Avicii Arena (in memory of the late singer) can hold up to 16,000 people so one can assume that it will be filled to the brim with CSGO fans once the limit is changed to 15,000 on September 29th

IEM Fall RMR coincidentally starts on September 29th and will be a LAN event for the EU teams, while the Major is scheduled for 23rd October 2021.

The Most Expensive CSGO Skins in 2021

CSGO, one of the most successful FPS titles out there, is known for its aesthetic marketplace along with an insane set of FPS mechanics. Since Valve revamped the game with weapon sprays now known as “Skins”, we witnessed a turn of events after the Arms Deals update was pushed into the game.

These weapon skins caught everyone’s sight as players did find them to be visually appealing, provided with the fact that these skins won’t add any extra muscle power to your weapon.

After the community market was set up for CSGO, players did find themselves grabbing up some skins from the market or trade/sell their owned design patterns to go for some other kinds. As such, people wanted more from the game, and that’s how skins in CSGO became a thing.

A lot of people care about the cosmetic elements in CSGO, known as skins. They don’t influence the gameplay, but just make particular goods look more beautiful.

Skins and CSGO go hand in hand. They hold financial importance other than the cosmetic value that has given rise to a healthy trading network with its own set of benchmarks to set the price. The price of the skins is correlated with the wear rating thus it is something everyone should know of while trading.

These cosmetics come with a float value when unboxed. Once opened, you have no control over the value as it is predetermined by what the game decides by assigning it a float value between 0.0 to 1.0. The lower float value translates to a higher selling price and vice-versa. The lower float skins have fewer scratches and negligible dark patches and sometimes none altogether. Some skins get shinier with a lower float value, they don’t have any scratches for any float whatsoever, but such skins with high FV will look shady and less shiny than their low FV counterpart.

This article would further update you with the most expensive skins available in the community.

#387 Karambit | Case Hardened Blue Gem

According to reports, this magnificent Karambit belongs to a YouTuber based in China. It is believed that this was the most expensive trade back in 2016 ever in the history of CSGO, worth $150,000 USD. Based on the current market price and the whole cryptocurrency spike, this may fetch its Chinese owner over $600,000 USD.

StatTrak Ak-47 | Case Hardened Blue Gem with 4x Titan Holos

This is also deemed the most Expensive CSGO Skin Ever Sold in the History of CSGO and is the AK-47 Case Hardened with the StatTrak™ Technology. Bearing 4 ‘Titan | Katowice 2014’ stickers on the skin with a Minimal Wear finish, the weapon was bought at a flabbergasting price of $150,000USD on Steam. That is some serious cash right there, and likely a good investment since there is no other version of it that is exactly like this one. The AK-47 Case Hardened skin was added to counter-strike as a part of the first-ever weapon case and was too a part of the Arms Deal Collection. The skin had an interesting pattern design that had a blue hue on it. It became obvious that most players really liked the blue glow emitted by the gun in the process and might likely just increase in value.

Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen was spotted using this skin in the IEM Katowice 2021 Qualifiers against Virtus.Pro.

Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore FN with 4x Titan Holos

Lord Belle’s Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore with the 4 Katowice 2014 Titan Holos is just another masterpiece crafted till now. The stickers alone cost a bomb and add up to $40,000 USD to the total price. This skin currently sits at the top of all sniper rifles with a price tag of $250,000 USD.

StatTrack M4A4 | Howl with 4x Titan Katowice 2014 Holos

After the infamous M4A4 Howl skin incident, where it was claimed to be a stolen community workshop artwork, the former was made unavailable even by unboxing your cases. This resulted in a terrible upward spike in the skin’s pricing. With the current crypto-currency market hitting new heights every day, it has indeed added more misery to its Value.

With 4 Titan Katowice 2014 Holos crafted, this Stattrak M4A4 Howl is now up for grabs with a whopping price tag of $180,000 USD. The owner of the same would be totally on a Cloud 9 after Valve decided to withdraw the CSGO Key trading which made this skin tougher to lay hands on.

StatTrack Ak-47 | Fire Serpent with 4x iBuyPower Holos

After the StatTrak Ak-47 | Case Hardened Blue Gem with 4x Titan Holos, comes the AK-47 Fire Serpent with the 4 iBuyPower Holos. Ever since iBP disbanded over the match-fixing incident, their sticker prices have skyrocketed to almost unforgivable listings. Ever imagined that someone would craft them on a StatTrak AK Fire Serpent? Well yes, a person did, and here is it.

According to me, these stickers itself can fetch a hefty sum given the weapon itself would cost you to go all in.

Valorant weapons and their ammo capacity

0

It’s been almost a year since Valorant evolved from the beta phase and since then the game has attracted unreal hype, luring a plethora of professional players.

Although the game has unique abilities similar to Overwatch, it leans more towards the theme than that of CSGO. Just like the latter, players do stand a chance to select from a range of weapons to play with. Compared to CSGO, load-outs bear no difference. Just like the former, Valorant got a wide pallet of choices, right from pistols to snipers. upon, be it the attacking or defensive side, unlike CSGO where the AK-47 and M4A4 are exclusively available to the Ts and CTs respectively.

While in combat, keeping tabs on the number of bullets in your weapon alongside other aspects is yet another responsibility. While there are some who would always reload their weapon upon shooting a single bullet, most of them would also spray down an entire magazine spamming a wall in a bid to knock out the player hiding behind. Well, none to blame for either, maybe that’s how they feel to play? Ammunition management is always an integral part be it any First-person shooter title.

GodLike Esports parts ways with Valorant Roster

0

GodLike Esports has released their entire Valorant roster for unstated reasons. In an official post, the organization revealed that they are parting ways with its PC division including stars like Antidote and Deathmaker. This parting is a result of “unfortunate events” which preceded before the actual departure.

Valorant emerged as the next popular esports title in India and many old CS:GO stars tried their luck at this new title of Riot Games. Many pros made a switch from the former to Valorant and looking at this booming industry, many new organizations invested and hired new rosters.

GodLike Esports also ventured into PC gaming after running a successful roster in mobile gaming division. Their PUBG Mobile roster produced promising results and they looking to achieve a similar result in Valorant as well. GodLike signed some well-known players to their roster and their future was looking promising.

Even though the roster failed to perform on a regional scale, as compared to other organizations like Velocity Gaming or Global Esports, but their results were consistent and they were still considered as one of the best teams in India. The roster had some of the best players in Valorant onboard but due to some inner matters, the organization decided to drop their roster.

In the official post, they stated that this move was taken due to some unfortunate events and even though the roster is disbanded, the organization has decided to keep Haivaan as their content creator. The rest of GodLike players are now free agents and we might see some big organizations making a move to hire these stars in the near future.

Deathmaker was reported to shift to Velocity Gaming and as he does not represent any team now, we might see some moves very soon. Antidote was a part of Velocity in the past and it will be interesting to see which roster picks him up next.

GodLike Esports will be focusing on mobile esports for a while and they have recently picked one of the best rosters in India with players from old TSM India team. The organization has even prompted their fans that they will return to competitive PC esports in the future, citing that their return might be by this fall or next year.

Coldzera to join Complexity CSGO: Report

0

According to a report by French website 1pv.fr and then another one by Dexerto, Marcelo ‘coldzera’ David is all set to join Complexity Gaming after being out of contract since June 2021. He last played for FaZe Clan, and with the departure of his friend ‘NiKo’ to G2, he had all the more reason to not continue with the roster.

As already reported, Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke, is injured after breaking his wrist at the airport earlier in August. The Dane had to be in a cast for 4-6 weeks and is eager to get back into action, but with events lined up, as well as the Major, Complexity can’t keep making do with a stand-in as k0nfig’s recovery could take even longer, thus they have decided to sign 2 time major winner with 2 major MVPs under his belt.

He said on a Brazilian podcast, that his new team has already been decided and that it would be announced within a week. The team would not be FURIA as earlier rumoured, as FURIA investor Andre Akkari tweeted that “things didn’t work out” talking about the negotiations between the org and the player. Which leaves Complexity as the only logical option for him, where he’ll be the second Brazilian to join the team after “peacemaker”.

He is rumoured to play for the roster as soon as ESL Pro League playoffs end, and BLAST Premier Fall Groups start. The CoL roster for BLAST will be:
