OG swap Aleksib with nexa, sign kakafu as assistant coach

OG will start the new season under the leadership of a fresh face who was phenomenal at the PGL CSGO Major Stockholm.

OG Esports have signed Nemanja “⁠nexa⁠” Isaković from G2 Esports to their active CSGO division, the European mixture announced on their Twitter handle and have swapped their now former in-game leader Aleksi “⁠Aleksib⁠” Virolainen with the Serbian tactician. 

Earlier reported by TalkEsport and 1pv.fr, G2 Esports have traded nexa for Aleksib from OG Esports, one of the founding members of the latter since the team’s inception in December 2019 while the ex-G2 Esports IGL had joined the German organization around the same time, in September of the same year. Both OG and G2 Esports were poised to transition changes within their rosters coming out of a trophy-less past season with the latter being denied the championship at the PGL CS:GO Major Stockholm while OG who finishing as runner-ups, notably at FLASHPOINT Season 2 and secured first place at the Spring Sweet Spring #2 cashcup. 

nexa joined G2 Esports from Team CR4ZY with whom he made it to the New Legends Stage at the StarLadder Berlin Major in 2019 which eventually made G2 Esports sign the 24 year-old Serbian along with Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač from the Croatian based organization.

OG will debut with nexa at the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Groups where they will face Astralis in their opener on January 29. The arrival of nexa is also joined by the addition of Alexander “⁠kakafu⁠” Szymanczyk, previously a part of BIG and will be the assistant coach to Casper “ruggah” Due on the line-up.
