What Is Ohio joke on TikTok?

0

There has been a sudden rise in puns and trolls directed towards America’s state Ohio in TikTok that has left everyone confused, in this article, we unravel the mystery and origin of this weird trend.

In recent times, especially on TikTok, it is difficult to not have come across “Only in Ohio” memes and videos. Having originated in TikTok in the last few weeks, said memes and videos have made it outside of TikTok into other platforms like reddit and Facebook.

The sudden rise of “Only in Ohio” memes has given rise to the question in the minds of many for obvious reasons. This begs the question, where did it come from and how did it originate:

What is TikTok’s Ohio joke?

As “Know Your Meme” describes it, despite the recent increase in its use, it is an age old meme hailing from Tumblr. Having originated back in 2015, a user who went by the name screenshotofdespair posted a photo that showed “Ohio will be eliminated” written. This has been widely accepted as the origin point of the meme.

The top comment on the post was “Only in Ohio” and it soon became a meme as time passed. That showed bizarre incidents happening across the world and somehow tie it to Ohio that suggests suggesting incidents are restricted to Ohio in an ironic way.

The meme since then has surfaced again and is trending once again on TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit.

5 things you need to know before BGMI unban

Battlegrounds Mobile India and its ban saga is a trending topic in India right now as everybody is expecting the game to return very soon. While the game is still in the process of getting unblocked, here are five things that you need to know before BGMI unban.

1. KRAFTON HAS NOT DECLARED THE UNBAN DATE

The first point is probably the most crucial one in current time where every player in the community is looking for an unban date. Krafton has not declared any sort of unban date or timeline yet and hence, we advice our readers to refrain from referring to any other third-party sources claiming to provide an unban date for BGMI.

2. BGMI WAS BANNED DUE TO PRIVACY CONCERNS

The main reason behind Indian government taking such a stringent action to cease the distribution of BGMI was its user privacy concerns. This idea stems from the PUBG Mobile ban era where the game was banned for having Chinese connections and server sharing.

A similar thing is apparently observed in BGMI, which is why the game was blocked officially in the entire nation.

3. PLAYERS CANNOT DO INGAME PURCHASE IN BGMI

This point applies for the players that are still playing the game despite the ban. Ever since the ban order was instigated in the country, players have observed that any kind of in-game payment results into failure.

A main reason behind this is the fact that all in-game purchases are fulfilled by the official marketplaces like Apple App or Google Play store. The game is currently not available on both the platforms and hence, players cannot buy items.

4. BGMI SERVERS ARE STILL ACTIVE

An interesting point to note here is that BGMI ban has only affected its distribution while the game servers are still up and running. This was not seen in PUBG Mobile ban where the servers were taken down within days of the game being banned.

5. KRAFTON IS STILL IN TOUCH WITH INDIAN GOVT. OVER THE BAN

This is a point of reassurance for the entire BGMI community as Krafton has recently revealed in their PR that they are still in touch with the Indian government and trying to bring back the BGMI services in the country.

Team HAVK becomes the first Indian team to shine at an International PUBG event

Team HAVK represented India at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2022, a LAN competition featuring the best Asian PUBG teams.

Team HAVK finished tenth after three days with 64 points, 32 finish points, and 32 placement points. On the other hand, they were unable in acquiring even a single WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner).

One of the finest PUBG players in India, Pratik “Aurum” Mehra, who is also the captain of this squad, was pleased with the performance of the team. He stated that “This is the best performance of any Indian team who went out to represent India in PUBG PC.”

Team HAVK put on quite a show at an international PUBG tournament in Japan. Asia Pacific Predator League 2022‘s grand final stage came to an end yesterday after three days of nonstop activity from November 11 to 13.

This competition included a total of sixteen teams from Asia, all of which had to compete in a number of different regional qualifiers in order to gain a position in the event.

Through their performance in the Indian Qualifier earlier in the year, Team HAVK was able to secure a slot for themselves in the main tournament. The following players were included in the starting lineup:

1. Pratik “Aurum” Mehra – IGL

2. Vinay “Hades” Rao

3. Vedang “Vedzz” Chavan

4. Karthik “Killua” Vijayakumar

5. Habibi

At the international LAN tournament that was held in Japan, the team competed to the best of its abilities and ended up placing tenth overall after accruing a total of 64 points over the course of 15 matches, with only a difference of two points separating them from the team that finished ninth, Macan Semeru.

“The performance with (a) two month old team and a very minimal amount of competitive practice due to lack of scrims for Indian teams, (and) to play against (an) international lobby, our performance was still average versus the strongest teams of the SEA area,” HAVK captain Aurum said after the competition.

Only the top three teams were awarded a portion of the overall $120,000 USD prize money.

1. Genius Esports | $75,000 USD

2. DAMWON Gaming | $30,000 USD

3. ArkAngel Predator | $15,000 USD

Taking into consideration that the esports environment for PUBG is virtually nonexistent in the nation as a whole, the team put up an impressive display. Considering that the team only participates in one international competition each year, these performances are undeniably more than just satisfactory.

Valorant has grown to be one of the most popular multiplayer games, and with that growth has come a large player base and administration. If you are experiencing any, here is how to check for them and maybe discover a solution. Valorant players from North and South American regions are facing disconnection issues today on 14th November. Even though the Europe and APAC regions are working fine, the servers are down in the NA and SA regions apparently.

Several players have reported the issue from the NA and SA regions. Moreover, Riot has officially posted on its Service Status page about the disconnection issue.

We’re aware of a problem causing players to disconnect from their games and are investigating the problem.

Riot Games

Valorant is a game that has gained enormous popularity since its closed beta testing. With the game picking up speed, the game developers are also attempting to fix as many issues as possible, but some may still slip through the cracks.

How to check Valorant Server Status?

To monitor and fix any difficulties, you may largely rely on the official Valorant Twitter feed. The social media account is fairly active, and they frequently address complaints.

If the Valorant has already resolved your issue, you can be confident that the server will be operational again shortly. Riot Games has a Service Status page for each of its games.

The Valorant service status page contains a wealth of information on the duration of the server outage and the root cause of the problem. The page also lists the most current issues, and this is where you may report your concern.

If you still can’t discover the solution, you may go to the Valorant Support website and find a solution to practically every problem, and if you’re still not pleased, you can contact them.

It is advised that you look through each tab that may be of assistance to you and, most importantly, review the error codes page to resolve the most prevalent problems. We hope that after performing all of these troubleshooting steps, your problem has been addressed or solved.

Jame awarded IEM Rio CS:GO Major 2022 MVP

Last night, we witnessed the Jame-Train happen at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio.

After helping Outsiders win the IEM Rio CS:GO Major in Brazil today, the 24-year-old Russian captain and sniper Jame received the IEM Rio Major MVP award.

The last time Jame featured in a Major grand final was at the StarLadder Berlin Major in 2019 where they were denied the championship by Astralis. Jame and co then competed under the banner of AVANGAR after being acquired by Virtus.pro soon later.

The Russian in-game leader’s 1.30 rating was the third-highest in the tournament, behind Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov and Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato.

Jame had a notably high impact in Outsiders’ semi-final series against Mousesports, but he remained a stalwart presence in all of their previous matches as well, only going below a 1.20 rating on three maps, and never dropping below 1.12.

For Qikert, Jame, and coach dastan, the grand final win over Heroic serves as redemption for their blowout loss at the StarLadder Berlin as mentioned.

According to statistics from HLTV, Jame led the competition in K/D difference (+98), fewest deaths per round (0.46), KAST (79.6 percent), overall AWP kills (168), and most per round (0.54). As one of the favorites for IEM Rio Major MVP, Jame topped his teammate Pyotr “fame” Bolyshev, Heroic’s stars cadiaN, and Martin “stavn” Lund in the grand finals.

Outsiders have struggled all year at key international events ever since adopting the name. Prior to Rio, they reached the Pro League Season 16 quarterfinals, losing to eventual winners Vitality.

After just five months of changes to their active squad, Outsiders defeated home team FURIA to win the Major. In the Grand Finale, Outsiders handily defeated Heroic on the second map.

This is the first Major trophy for the Outsiders and all five players, and more importantly, an organization with a makeshift identity after ESL cut ties with teams who had affiliations with the Russian Government.

The IEM Rio Major’s most-watched CS:GO match wasn’t the finals

The Grand Finals between Heroic and Outsiders was not the most viewed match of IEM : Rio CS:GO Major 2022.

Outsiders won the Valve-sponsored IEM Rio CS:GO Major 2022 last night, taking home $500,000 from the prize pool. Despite last night being one of the historic ones for both the teams, it was yet to surpass the most viewed match-up of the Major.

According to the data provided by Esports Charts, the match between Natus Vincere and FURIA was the most watched throughout the IEM Rio Major 2022. The Grand Final earned its finest hour in viewership with 1.14 million viewers, although this was surpassed by 1.38 million concurrent viewers.

FURIA, spurred by the home crowd, proceeded to the playoffs by defeating CIS powerhouse Na’Vi in the Major Quarterfinals.

But Andrei “arT” Piovezan and his men were quite unfortunate in their run towards the Grand Finals as it was Outsiders who cut short their rhythm in the Semi-finals.

Data as per Esports Charts have rated the Grand Finals between Outsiders and Heroic as the second most viewed match-up at the Major. This was later followed by Heroic Vs FURIA which was played on Day 3 of the Legends Stage.

Had Imperial qualified for the Legends Stage, we definitely would have seen a massive surge in the current numbers as there would have been yet another Brazilian team for the home crowd to have cheered for.

This is the first Major trophy for the Outsiders and its all five players, and more importantly, an organization with a makeshift identity after ESL cut ties with teams who had affiliations with the Russian Government.

Brazil to host IEM: Winter CSGO in 2023

ESL announced that they will organize another IEM event in Brazil in 2023 after Brazil vs. Sweden legends show-match. On the Intel Grand Slam season four calendar, IEM Spring is scheduled for late April 2023.

The tournament will feature 16 teams instead of the 24 that compete in a Major, with a prize pool of $250,000. However, of greater significance is the fact that the IEM Spring event that will be held in Brazil will be counted as an Intel Grand Slam season event.

The Intel Grand Slam champion is the team that wins four events at Intel Grand Slam competitions, as in previous seasons.

“It’s exciting to be looking forward to over 40+ tournaments around the globe, serving all tiers of the CS:GO competitive pyramid – from aspiring to professional. While we’ve planned out these tournaments, our work is not done, as we look to improve and continuously work on putting on amazing experiences for all of our global community.”

Shaun Clark, Senior Director of Game Ecosystems – CS:GO at ESL

After today’s IEM Rio Major, ESL announced that the Intel Extreme Masters Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament will return to Brazil in 2023.

IEM Brazil 2023 will be part of the 2023 ESL Pro Tour for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The tour is one of the top CS:GO circuits and includes prestigious competitions in well-known cities like Cologne, Germany, and Katowice, Poland.

There has been no announcement regarding the event’s location within Brazil, and the dates have yet to be set. The ESL Pro Tour schedule has just two spaces for an S-tier event: one in the spring from April 17–23 and one in the fall from October 16–22. Given the Brazilian Major’s timing, the fall slot seems more likely.

According to the Intel Grand Slam schedule, Brazil’s IEM Spring event begins on April 17.

Detailed Recap:

It can be argued that Outsiders barely faced any top 5 teams in the major but no one can take this victory away from them.

A dominant victory over the Danes saw them pick up their very first Major, their first trophy under the Outsiders banner. The ex-VP roster had to face several challenges on and off the server but they fight until the end and now all of them can boast a major trophy.

cadiaN led Heroic never made it any more than a semi-finals appearance at a major will be taking on Jame’s Outsiders, who lost a Major final to Astralis in Berlin years ago, now presented with a second chance they are not willing to let it slip. Outsiders having beaten Mouz and Heroic casing the biggest upset, taking down crowd favourite Furia, we had a spicy Major final on the card.

The match started on Outsder’s pick Mirage and they wasted no time showing why they picked it. A dominant start for them on the Terrorist side saw them pick up 8 rounds as the Danes struggled to find a solution.

An unexpected 1v2 from fame changed the dynamic for Outsiders upon which Heroic failed to put up a defense that was eventually broken with ease.

Heroic responded with a pistol round victory on their offence but the Outsiders were quick to respond with a force buy victory.

Needless to say, the most inexperienced player in fame was clearly the best on the server, with enormous impact on the most crucial rounds that helped them close out their own map pick 16-12.

Heroic looked poised to answer back on their pick Overpass but all their plans fell on the face of a well drilled Outsiders.

Heroic barely managed 3 rounds while the Russians managed to pick up 12 on their defense, calling it dominant would be an understatement. Switching sides saw Heroic pick up the pistol round but Outsiders spent no time and quickly ran it back and closed the map, winning their first major 16-5.

In the face of all adversities, Outsiders, without having an organization backing them managed to win a Major. Having lost to the greatest Danish team of all time, they made it a point to not let another one get the better of them in a Major final. Heroic put in an admirable effort but just fell short against a fascinating Outsiders team.

Highest Earning CSGO Players 2022

CS:GO’s Majors have been some of esports’ most prominent tournaments over its 10-year history. But the strength of the scene comes from its open circuit format, which lets almost any organizer host a tournament anywhere in the world using any kind of format.

Over the course of the previous decade, players have been awarded more than $140 million across thousands of tournaments, with the PGL Stockholm Major awarding the greatest single prize pool of $2 million.

The Stockholm Major featured the largest prize pool after nearly 2 years of no major tournaments played due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Danish players continue to monopolize the top ranks in terms of earnings, other athletes seem to climb up the ladder with their recent winnings.

More Majors with huge prize pools are on the horizon for CS:GO, and the game shows no signs of slowing down. But before we get there, let’s take a look at the top prize pool money earners, as reported by Esports Earnings. With the conclusion of the recent IEM : Rio CS:GO Major 2022, the data seeded by Esports Earning has been updated.

The following is a table that ranks the top 20 players based on their total earnings.

Trivia about the players :

The exclusivity that Dupreeh bears cannot be matched by anyone else. Dupreeh, now with Vitality and Magisk, is the only CS:GO player to have played in all 18 Majors and won over $2 million in individual prizes. With Vitality looking good coming into the Rio Major, he has a chance to distance himself from his old Astralis teammates.

The highest-paid IGL is also one of the most accomplished and respected. When gla1ve first joined Astralis, he was actually somewhat unheard of, and the team’s initial performance wasn’t all that impressive. Four Majors and a Grand Slam later, gla1ve showed his value and then some.

The only player in the top six who is not part of the renowned Astralis core, s1mple is a serious candidate for the title of the greatest player of all time. As with electroNic, most of s1mple’s success competitively and financially has come in 2021 and 2022, but he reached the top four in two Majors with Liquid in 2016.

Ukrainian star s1mple joined this elite list after NAVI won several international titles in 2021, including the PGL Stockholm Major. He was recently awarded the Player of the Decade award by ESL.

BGMI Unban Date Hinted by Krafton in a Recent Announcement

0

Krafton Inc, the developers of PUBG and Battlegrounds Mobile India recently published a new press release and it has trended on the internet over its ending statement. The BGMI developers have mentioned some update on the ban situation and here is everything you need to know.

BGMI was banned in India by the July end by the Indian government over concerns of violating user privacy and having links with China in some form. This ban has impacted the distribution network of BGMI as the game is still active on its older version but newer content cannot be added and its official marketplace listing on Apple and Google Play Store have been removed as well.

This ban was officially recognized a few weeks ago as an RTI query confirmed that BGMI is blocked in India. Krafton had stated earlier that they were working with Indian government to bring back the game and players were expecting that BGMI could come back by 15th August but no announcement was made since that time.

BGMI UNBAN POSSIBLE DATE AND TIME

The new press release is the first official source of information that has confirmed that Krafton is involved in the unblocking activity. The concluding statement made in the report is as follows:

“Finally, KRAFTON is continuing its efforts to resume services for BGMI and will continue investing in the Indian gaming market.”

This is a statement of reassurance for the entire BGMI community as the developers are still working on the comeback. Krafton did not comment on the possible comeback date or time but it’s return could be right around the corner.
