After being disabled from the Valorant Agent roster for over three days, Waylay has finally made her return to the competitive shooter.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, Waylay was removed from Valorant on July 31 following reports of a visual bug involving her Refract ability that surfaced on social media forums.
As per an official statement from Riot, the Waylay bug in question was causing her to see “incorrect visual information” upon using her Refract. As a result, the devs decided to remove her from all Valorant queues as they worked on issuing a hotfix for the problem.
“We’re aware of a bug that’s causing Waylay to see incorrect visual information after using her Refract ability,” Riot Games said in a statement. “Due to the implications on Competitive Integrity, we are disabling Waylay until we deploy a fix. We’ll send out an update when the fix is live.”
Three days later, on August 3rd, Waylay has finally returned to the Valorant Agent pool and can now be played on all game modes, including Competitive, Unrated, and other queues.
If you’re a Waylay main, now might be a good time to return to Valorant and lock in your favorite Agent in ranked.
Cypher mains, on the other hand, might want to hold off on getting too attached to him. Players have found a new game-breaking issue with his Cyber Cage that lets it completely block certain enemy utility like Sova’s Recon Bolt and Fade’s Prowler.
Given Riot’s track record of pulling agents the moment a bug like this starts circulating (Neon and Cypher himself have both been yanked from the roster this way before), don’t be surprised if he’s the next one benched while the fix gets sorted out.
