Skyesports Championship 3.0 announced featuring a prize pool of INR 55 Lakh

Skyesports is back with the announcement of season 3.0 of the Skyesports Championship. It is one of the leading esports events presented by Skyesports which features multiple titles in a single event.

It will be a Lan edition planned for over 4 months with a massive prize pool of INR 55 lakhs. This time, the event has expanded into the South Asia region and will bring a great opportunity for the players to ‘go pro and evolved into champions’.

Although, they didn’t reveal many details regarding the upcoming event. The organizers teased the event information in the ongoing AMD Ryzen Skyesports League 2021 finals.

It was a two months long Valorant event featuring a total of 8 teams based on the names of Indian cities. It was one of the biggest Valorant esports events presented by them with a mixture of professional players and content creators in it.

Skyesports championship is our annual flagship event. It’s a destination where many popular gamers have found a path to go pro and evolved into champions.

After two successful seasons, we are planning to take the 3rd edition to full scale. 3.0 will be a South Asia region tournament that will run for 4 months with a massive prizepool of 55,00,000/- and LAN finals. This will be 20x growth from our previous editions and we have many interesting things lined up without compromising the basic grassroots.

ABOUT SKYESPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP 3.0

Initially started in 2019, Skyesports Championship has come a long way. The first season of this flagship esports event had a prize pool of INR 3 lakhs featuring PUBG Mobile, World Cricket Championship Rivals, and Clash Royale. 

In 2020, they came back with 2.0 in partnership with India’s live-leading game streaming and esports app, Loco.

This was a two-month-long event where amateur and professional players competed in various esports titles. They hosted a total of five titles- Valorant, Brawlstars, clash of clans, Rainbow Six: Siege, and World Cricket Championship Rivals, offering a total prize pool worth INR 11,00,000.

We are into 2021 and Skyesports didn’t disappoint us. They are back with one of the largest third-party esports events in the history of Indian gaming.

The prize pool is 5 times bigger than the previous event and regions got expanded. Giving more players the opportunity to showcase their skills. According to the teaser, Skyesports Championship 3.0 will be expanding into the South Asia region. Here is the list of sub-regions.

With the relaunch of Battlegrounds Mobile India in the coming days. We could see the addition of the game in this season. Skyesports didn’t feature PUBG Mobile in its second season due to the game ban just before the commencement of the league.
