Grand Theft Auto 6 is still set to launch on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. On September 30, the game reaches the 50-day mark before release. Counting from today, September 26, launch is 54 days away.
Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have not changed the date since November 2025. Pre-orders are live, a pre-load date is set, and two other products, a soundtrack album and a collector’s box, are also scheduled for release day.

Why September 30 matters for GTA 6
September 30 is exactly 50 days before launch. The date itself has no official meaning. But it arrives very late in a release cycle that has already seen two delays.
At this stage, the release is tied to much more than the game. Retail pre-orders are open. The pre-load window is set. A 34-track album and a $399.99 collector’s box are both dated for November 19. Rockstar has not hinted at any change to that plan.
GTA 6 delay history
GTA 6 has moved twice since Take-Two first gave a launch window.

Take-Two confirmed the current date in its second-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings release on November 6, 2025. Rockstar said at the time that the extra months would give it room to polish the game.
What Take-Two has said about GTA 6 recently
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has repeated the November 19 date at every earnings call since. In May 2026, he told investors the company had been clear about the launch date.
On August 7, Take-Two reported its first quarter after pre-orders opened. Zelnick described pre-order levels as unprecedented. He also said the company does not know yet how that demand will turn into final sales. Take-Two kept its fiscal 2027 net bookings forecast at $8.0 billion to $8.2 billion and linked that forecast to the November 19 launch.

The album is a partnership with Atlantic Records. According to Rockstar’s album announcement, it is out on November 19 and six singles are already streaming. Tracks come from Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Keith Richards, Rauw Alejandro, Yung Lean, and a group track with PinkPantheress and Fred again.. among others. Rockstar says it will share details on the in-game radio and score later.
The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection is a box of merchandise themed around Macca the Gator, a TV show inside the game’s world. It does not include the game. Orders are limited to one per customer on the Rockstar Store, and shipping starts November 19.

Is GTA Online part of the GTA 6 launch?
Rockstar has described GTA 6 at launch as a single-player experience. It has not announced an online mode for November 19. The GTA+ bonus with digital pre-orders applies to the existing GTA Online.
