Since the start of the Global Coronavirus Pandemic, the gaming community has majoritively seemed to rejoice, thanks to the brand new titles being released across PC and other consoles.  Among the said were Capcom’s Resident Evil: Village, Arkane’s DEATHLOOP, and lastly Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us 2.

Speaking of the latter, being the sequel to The Last of Us, fans across the globe went berserk when Naughty Dog launched The Last of Us 2 in June 2020. It indeed attracted every part of the fanbase back to the game from its first iteration alongside being rated 10/10 by IGN and the “most accomplished project Naughty Dog has ever embarked on” from a review on Metacritic.

Most recently, Marianne Hayden, Senior Cinematic Animator at Naughty Dog posted a picture of her and the team on Twitter, which seems to be a motion-capture job. This might either be a hint towards the development of a new DLC of The Last of Us 2 or a new IP, belonging to Naughty Dog. Some people do call it out as Factions, a Multiplayer game mode, a part of the first iteration to which Naughty Dog were “aggressively hiring” for a new standalone multiplayer action game. The servers of Factions were shut down in November 2019 by Naughty Dog along with those of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and The Last of Us: Left Behind.

A remake of The Last of Us was also announced by Naughty Dog for the current generation of consoles while it has also been rumored to get a PC release in the near future. Marianne had previously featured in The Last of Us franchise as a stunt person and her recent post does point out a potential project, under development at the Naughty Dog studios.

Earlier in May, PlayStation Studios had their own page launched on Steam and since then a plethora of PlayStation exclusives have been rumored to be launched on PC.
