Former NA CS Pro, MAiNLiNE Passes Away Due to Cancer

Michael ‘MAiNLiNE’ Jaber, former Professional player and coach from North America passed away on 7th October 2021 after losing his battle with cancer. MAiNLiNE had been suffering from cancer since 2019.

Complexity Valorant Pro, Joel ‘jcruel’ Cruel, a former teammate of Jaber’s was the one that made the community aware of his passing. “I wish I checked up with you more often, Rest In Peace brother @Mainlinecsgo . Those csgo teams and times we spent at lan will always be some of the best memories for me.”, he tweeted in remembrance of his old teammate.

MAiNLiNE was a staple of NA CS, especially in the tier 2 scene, spending time on teams such as Selfless Gaming, eUnited and Ghost Gaming (as coach). He enjoyed the most success with eUnited, winning Fragdelphia 10 with them in 2017.

Steve ‘Ryu’ Rattacasa, coach at Sefless Gaming wrote about him in his ‘Most Coachable Players I’ve coached’ article. He highlighted how Michael was ‘always upbeat, keeping morale up. He also had a brilliant mind for the game and wasn’t shy of learning new things along the way.’ 

He also tweeted about how Mike was integral in helping players succeed in Gaming as a career, in a series of tweets remembering his old friend.
