All Teams Qualified For PGL Antwerp CSGO Major After EU RMR Group A

PGL Antwerp Major 2022

The first Regional Major Rankings tournament for Europe, for PGL Antwerp Major has concluded, with 8 more teams confirming their spot for the Major. 4 teams confirmed their spots at the Legends stage while 2 Challengers and 2 Contenders were confirmed.

Being as stacked as it was, there were bound to be upsets. The biggest of them was perhaps MOUZ and OG missing out on the Major. MOUZ, having just swapped NBK- for JDC, were in a do or die match with Vitality, where the French-Danish side reigned supreme.

OG on the other hand, missed out on yet another Major, their second one since forming a CS team. OG couldn’t make it to PGL Stockholm either, after falling short at IEM Fall last year. This year, they lost to Turkish CSGO side Eternal Fire in a closely contested series which went the full 30 rounds in both the maps.

fnatic, after benching smooya and transferring Brollan to NiP missed out on their third straight CSGO Major. The team hasn’t made an appearance at a Valve sponsored CSGO Major since IEM Katowice 2019, and will miss out on PGL Antwerp again.

BIG and Heroic upset FaZe Clan and NaVi respectively to go 3-0 and make it to the Major first as legends.  But both FaZe and NaVi also confirmed their spots as legends as they won their next game with ease. (FaZe qualified as legends due to seeding but NaVi had to play another Bo3 vs forZe)
