Some maps may be getting a remake as well.

It appears like some huge updates may be arriving at CSGO in the near future as some leaks have surfaced claiming that the competitive shooter is about to get three new game modes and several other big additions in Source 2.

According to Portuguese CSGO pro Nuno “BhT-” Silva on Twitter, the three new game modes which have been leaked include a “Heist” mode similar to the popular video game Payday, a retake mode which seems to have been in the works for a couple of months now, and 1v1/2v2 modes.

Apart from these new modes, CSGO may also get three map remakes including Office, Mirage, and the much-anticipated Tuscan which was already leaked a few months ago.

The Danger Zone mode may also undergo significant changes according to the leak.

Another ongoing rumor is that the Source 2 port is nearly done, which may imply that we’re about to receive the Source 2 update in CSGO in the next few months.

As we had reported earlier, the next Operation might be closer than you think. This rumor was further solidified with the leak which suggests that CSGO will be receiving annual operations from now on, which means fans will be able to enjoy an operation every single year. The last operation (Operation Shattered Web) was released in November 2019, so the next operation can be expected to land in the next month.

None of the leaks have been confirmed by Valve as of yet. But if they’re true, it’s only a matter of time before CSGO regains its massive player count which has declined slowly over the past few months.
