Twistzz’s Sensational Return to Liquid Amidst Roster Revamp

In esports, player transfers and team revamps are not uncommon. However, when a player of Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken’s caliber is rumored to make a return to his former team, it’s bound to make headlines.

Liquid, a prominent name in the esports arena, is reportedly on the brink of re-signing their former star player, Twistzz. According to a recent report by Dust2.us, Twistzz had been in discussions with other top-tier teams like Vitality but has chosen to reunite with Liquid. This move is seen by many as a sensational return, given Twistzz’s history with the team.

Twistzz’s previous stint with Liquid was nothing short of legendary. During mid-2019, under his leadership, the team clinched victory in five elite tournaments consecutively. This impressive feat not only secured them an Intel Grand Slam but also elevated them to the No. 1 spot in global rankings.

However, in 2021, Twistzz decided to venture into European waters, joining FaZe. His time with FaZe was marked by multiple Big Event victories and another Intel Grand Slam to his name.

Other Potential Additions to Liquid

The report also sheds light on other potential signings. Casper “cadiaN” Møller is said to have reached a verbal agreement with Liquid, though official contracts are yet to be inked. This development has led to speculations about Josh “oSee” Ohm’s future with the team.

Rumors have also linked Felipe “skullz” Medeiros and former coach Wilton “zews” Prado to Liquid’s upcoming rebuild.

If these speculated moves materialize, Liquid’s roster would predominantly consist of players from the Americas. This would position them to participate in the Americas RMR for the forthcoming PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen. The potential lineup could feature players like Twistzz, Keith “NAF” Markovic, skullz, cadiaN, and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis, with zews taking on the coaching responsibilities.
