Map 1: Mirage; Pick: MongolZ; Winner: MongolZ
Starting strong on the defence, FaZe dropped the ball, losing to an eco. MongolZ not only outclassed FaZe but also managed to level the scoreline. Starting with a leveled scoreboard, MongolZ pulled ahead by winning a streak of rounds as FaZe continued to struggle. With the stars of FaZe failing to deliver on the big stage, MongolZ managed to close the game with little effort. With 21 kills to his name, 910 dropped a masterclass worth 1.51 IR.
Map 2: Anubis; Pick: FaZe; Winner: MongolZ
Coming off the loss, FaZe managed to post a decent first half, edging out a 2-round lead before switching sides, but MongolZ managed to take a lead this putting FaZe on the backfoot right from the get-go. While FaZe did manage to level the scoreline, MongolZ did not let them push the game to OT and closed the map within the regulation rounds. Techno with a 1.45 IR stood out as the best player for MongolZ despite the best efforts from the ELiGE.
FaZe Clan takes an exit from the Major with their heads held high after a tough season. s1mple’s addition did improve the team, but that was far from enough to get them back to winning ways. Only time can tell what will become of the roster, but as of now, they exceeded expectations to reach this stage, but this loss was anything but expected.
