“Stop Manipulating Chinese Women”: Counter-Strike Star Jimpphat Hit With Allegations in Viral Douyin Post

A Douyin statement accuses Aurora's Jimpphat of mistreating an ex-girlfriend and of derogatory remarks about Chinese people. None of it is verified.

Aurora rifler Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo has been accused of mistreating a former partner, in a statement posted on the Chinese video platform Douyin by a woman who says she is his ex-girlfriend. The post, written in Chinese with an English version alongside it, began circulating on X on Saturday, 7 November, after Counter-Strike news and fan accounts shared and translated it. It accuses the 20-year-old Finn of love-bombing her around the Perfect World Shanghai Major in 2024, and of making derogatory comments about Chinese people and Asian men. TalkEsport has not verified the statement, the identity of its author or any of the claims in it.

Jimpphat has not responded publicly to the accusations. His most recent post on his X account came on 29 October, after Aurora were knocked out of PGL Masters Bucharest by his former team MOUZ. Aurora’s CS2 account has not addressed the statement either, and its last posts followed the team’s exit from IEM Beijing 2026 on 4 November. Neither the player nor the organisation had commented by Saturday evening.

What the Douyin statement alleges about Jimpphat

The statement is addressed directly to Jimpphat, and its English version opens with the line “Please stop manipulating the feelings of Chinese women”. Its author claims that he love-bombed her during the 2024 Shanghai Major, pretending to want a relationship while publicly presenting himself as single. She says the couple broke up three times between May and July 2025. After each break-up, she alleges, he repeatedly suggested that they become friends with benefits, which she says she refused every time.

The most serious claims in the post concern race. According to the statement, Jimpphat once told her that his family disapproved of their relationship simply because she was Chinese. She also alleges that he repeatedly made derogatory comments about Asian men. The post then accuses him of holding a prejudice against Chinese people while using Chinese social media to win attention and engagement from Chinese fans.

The author also claims that he invited her to watch his matches at IEM Chengdu, an invitation she says she declined. She writes that she is not a streamer or an influencer, that she has started a new chapter in her life and that she hopes other women will not be deceived. TalkEsport is not naming the author or linking to her account, because she is a private individual.

How the claims spread, and what remains unverified

The statement reached English-speaking fans through X rather than through any official channel. The CS2 news account LycheeCS shared a summary on Saturday afternoon, noting that the accusations were unverified and that Jimpphat had not responded. Fan accounts also posted machine translations of the Chinese text, with at least one asking Chinese speakers to correct the wording. No esports organisation, tournament organiser or Douyin itself has commented on the post.

Several basic points in the statement have not been confirmed. The material shared on X consists of the text of the statement, and TalkEsport has not seen messages or any other evidence supporting the specific claims. We have also not been able to view the original Douyin post independently, and posts on the platform can be edited or deleted at any time. Every allegation in this article is a claim made in that statement, and none has been tested.

Jimpphat’s career from MOUZ to Aurora

Jimpphat rose through MOUZ’s development system before becoming a regular in its main team. Born in Finland in September 2006, he joined MOUZ NXT, the organisation’s academy side, in May 2022, and was promoted to the main roster in July 2023. With MOUZ, he went on to win ESL Pro League Seasons 18 and 19 and PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, and he reached the semi-finals of two Majors.

Both events named in the statement were important stops in that MOUZ career. At the Perfect World Shanghai Major, which ran from 30 November to 15 December 2024, MOUZ reached the semi-finals before losing 2-1 to the eventual champions, Team Spirit. At IEM Chengdu, held from 3 to 9 November 2025, MOUZ again reached the last four, where they lost to Team Vitality. The official IEM account posted the 2-1 result on 8 November 2025, and both tournaments were played in China.

His time at MOUZ came to an end earlier this year. The organisation benched him alongside Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin on 18 April, and MOUZ confirmed his departure on 2 July, after 1,503 days with the club. As we reported at the time, the move ended a partnership of more than four years. Aurora announced his signing the following day, adding him to a line-up with XANTARES, woxic, Wicadia and the in-game leader Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski.

Aurora’s season now moves on to the Major in Singapore. The team signed off from IEM Beijing after a lower bracket defeat to BetBoom Team on 4 November, a day after beating G2. Aurora are one of six European teams invited directly to Stage 3 of the PGL Major Singapore, which begins on 2 December, according to our full list of qualified teams. The Playoffs follow at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from 10 to 13 December.
