IEM Beijing 2026 has reached its semi-finals following back-to-back exciting clashes, giving us the two teams that will be heading to the next stage. NAVI’s reverse sweep ensured they made it to the semis while BETBOOM stunned FURIA, surviving a tough series that could have gone either way.
NAVI reverse sweep PARIVISION to reach Semi-Finals
3-0 to start Mirage, NAVI had a solid start until they lost the momentum to PARIVISION. Winning their first gun round, PARIVISION went on to secure a dominant half. Not only did they level the scoreline, but they won every single round until the half ended, giving them a 9-3 lead before switching sides. Surviving the beating, NAVI managed to find their momentum despite losing the pistol in the second half. Winning 9 of their own, NAVI forced the map to OT from the clutches of defeat. Coming into OT with momentum, NAVI’s rushed offence gave PARIVISION the room they needed to secure 3 rounds in a row and close the map 16-13.
Starting Inferno with 4 rounds in a row, PARIVISION continued their momentum from the first map before NAVI hit the scoreboard. Following a difficult start, NAVI managed to cut it closer, winning 3 rounds in a row to close the first half. Salvaging the first half, NAVI managed to dominate on their T-side as PARIVISION failed to secure anything more than 2 rounds. With a 13-9 win, NAVI levelled the series, taking us to the deciding map.
With a convincing win in Inferno, NAVI started Ancient on a solid note, leaving PARIVISION to play chase for the better part of the final map. As the first half progressed, PARIVISION closed in on NAVI as the half switched with a 7-5 lead. The second half saw both teams trade rounds, with NAVI narrowly edging it out in the end with the series closing 2-1. Delivering an AWP masterclass, w0nderful secured a 1.54 IR.
BETBOOM stun FURIA
Starting the map with a pistol round win, BETBOOM conceded the first round against the FURIA full buy. As the Brazilian side struggled to hold onto the momentum, BetBoom managed to secure the lead before the end of the first half with a 7-5 scoreline. Following a tightly contested first half, BETBOOM raced ahead with a well-drilled defence that saw them win 6 rounds in a row, closing the map with a dominant 13-5 victory.
Despite winning the pistol, FURIA’s offence struggled to break the BETBOOM defence, and while the half was extremely close, BETBOOM secured a 7-5 lead for the second time in this series. Unlike the opening map, the narrow lead failed to aid them, as FURIA’s defence proved to be far too strong for them to keep up their performance. Winning 5 rounds in a row, FURIA managed to comfortably close the map and take the series to the deciding maps.
Starting the map with a 5-round streak, BETBOOM dropped the ball before the sides could swap. Losing their massive lead to FURIA, they barely held onto a 2-round lead before swapping sides. While the CIS side almost threatened to close it, FURIA put together 5 in a row to push the game to OT. Having secured 1 round in the first half of OT, BETBOOM secured 3 rounds in a row on the defence to steal the game away from FURIA and secure the semi-finals slot.
