BGMI Esports 2022 Roadmap Announced: Details Inside

Krafton Inc. has announced the roadmap for the upcoming BGMI esports season in 2022. A total of three new tournaments namely Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge, Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series and Battlegrounds Mobile India Series are added this time.

The overall prize pool will be around ₹6 Crore in 2022, making BGMI the biggest mobile esports title in India this year.

Battlegrounds Mobile India was launched in the country last year and the pros have awaited for the revival of its esports since then.

A tournament called BGIS 2021 was announced soon after and that marked the end of BGMI esports last year.

The expectations were very high this year and Krafton has delivered perfectly with four tournaments distributed throughout this year.

BGMI 2022 Esports Tournament:

  • BMOC – Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge
  • BMPS – Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series Season 1
  • BMIS – Battlegrounds Mobile India Series
  • BMPS – Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series Season 2

The first tournament named Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge is scheduled sooner than expected.

The registrations for this tournament will begin around February end and the online qualifiers will be scheduled during March-end.

The prize pool breakdown for this tournament is yet to be revealed.

Later in 2022, the Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series Season 1 and 2 will be hosted. The prize pool for each season will be ₹2 Crore, making it the largest prize pool for a singe esports event in India.
