Bots are great tools to practice and warm up before the game, but if you want a server free of any game AI shooting at you when you practice your smoke line-ups, then this article is for you.
Bots get automatically added to the server when you join various game modes and practice servers. In the event you are looking to remove said bots from the CS2 server, then the following commands are something you can look into. There are specific commands for specific use cases, so feel free to utilise all of them to cater to your needs.
Commands to Remove Bots in CS2
- sv_cheats 1: Before making changes to the server, make sure this is enabled.
- bot_kick: Kick all bots in the game.
- bot_kick ct: Kick only CT bots in the game.
- bot_kick t: Kick only T bots in the game.
- bot_add t and bot_add ct: Add bots to both teams.
Make sure you have your developer console enabled before you go about typing these commands in the developer console. Enabling the developer console will let you use a plethora of commands, and to enable it, head over to game settings and select “Yes” next to “Enable Developer Console” if it reads anything else.
Now that you have the developer console enabled, use these commands at your discretion, provided you have sv_cheats 1 already entered. There is a lot more you can do with the developer console, but that would require a whole guide in its own.
