0

A teenager jumped an IRL Twitch streaming in Norway with a knife asking for money and the police had to get involved.

Popular IRL streamer Mystixx’s visit to Norway went smoothly until a teenager crossed paths with him asking for money. Mystixx suggested that selling his tracksuit might be an excellent way to earn some money which the child took as an insult and pulled out a knife only for a third person to intervene and help cool the situation down.

Mystixx reminded him that he was streaming and everything he was doing was getting recorded but that did not stop him from engaging in a very violent tone.

Several sources indicated that the perpetrator in question was a suspect in several similar incidents around Berja Senter, a shopping mall in Kongsberg, Norway.

As of now, the streamer is in touch with the police to ensure his safety but sources indicate that the kid is apprehended and under investigation for similar incidents that were reported in that area.

IRL streamers come across such incidents every now and then and it is very important that IRL streamers be aware of their surroundings, especially in shady places.

French Law Enforcement Raids NVIDIA Offices

0

NVIDIA recently found its French offices the subject of a raid by local law enforcement and antitrust authorities, sparking discussions and concerns across the sector. This action was prompted by suspicions of the company engaging in anticompetitive practices, casting a shadow over NVIDIA’s operations and its dominance in the tech sector.

French antitrust authorities, acting on suspicions of anti-competitive practices, conducted a raid on NVIDIA’s offices in France. This unexpected scrutiny was confirmed by The Wall Street Journal, highlighting the growing concerns over NVIDIA’s influence and operations in the graphics card sector. However, NVIDIA has chosen to remain silent on the matter, declining to make any statements.

NVIDIA’s substantial influence in the tech sector has raised eyebrows, especially considering the potential ramifications for smaller businesses and startups. The company’s significant presence and dominance in both the GPU segment and the AI ecosystem have led to increased scrutiny and have fueled concerns about the exclusion of smaller entities in the industry.

The company’s rapid ascent in the tech world, particularly in AI, has not only propelled it into the big leagues but has also attracted more attention and scrutiny. The high demand for their GPUs and their significant role in the AI ecosystem has made NVIDIA a subject of inquiry, with competitors like AMD and Intel striving to fill the spaces that NVIDIA can’t due to its inability to meet the massive AI chip orders.

Currently, there is limited information available regarding the specifics of the suspected anticompetitive practices, and it might be possible that these suspicions are unfounded. However, this incident could either be a singular occurrence or the precursor to more such cases in the future, reflecting the increased vigilance of NVIDIA’s movements in the industry.

Can You Play CS2 on Mac?

0

Counter-Strike 2 has emerged as the successor to the globally renowned Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, leaving fans with a plethora of questions, primarily focusing on its compatibility with Mac. This article delves into the intricate details, providing insights and addressing concerns related to playing Counter-Strike 2 on Mac.

Counter-Strike 2 was unveiled on September 27th as a revolutionary upgrade to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This transition has left Mac users in a quandary, wondering about the game’s accessibility on their devices. The Steam page for Counter-Strike 2 conspicuously lacks system requirements for Mac users, a feature that was available for its predecessor.

Is CS2 Available on Mac?

For ardent fans utilizing Mac to engage with their peers, the absence of accessibility is a significant setback. Valve, the game’s developer, has explicitly confirmed the unavailability of Counter-Strike 2 for Mac users at this time. This decision potentially alienates a segment of the gaming community, despite Mac users constituting a mere 1.57% of consumers according to the most recent Steam hardware check.

The gaming world has witnessed a surge in preference for PC systems, with enthusiasts opting for Windows and Linux due to the flexibility in customizing graphics cards, processors, and other components. Valve’s decision not to accommodate the game for Mac reflects this trend, emphasizing the dominance of Windows and Linux in the gaming ecosystem.

Despite the current unavailability, the possibility of Counter-Strike 2 gracing the Mac platform in the future cannot be entirely ruled out. The advancements in Mac gaming, propelled by the introduction of macOS Sonoma in 2023, and the capabilities of the latest Apple M1 and M2 chips, hint at a potential breakthrough in Mac compatibility.

The enhanced graphical demands of Counter-Strike 2, compared to CSGO, raise concerns among Mac users. The game’s intricate maps and complex lighting require more robust processing power. However, the proficiency of the latest Apple chips at resolutions of 1080p and below could potentially mitigate these concerns, offering a beacon of hope for Mac enthusiasts.

Is CSGO Still Playable?

The esports community has been buzzing with the release of Counter Strike 2, a successor to the immensely popular Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), which was first released in 2012. The transition has left many fans wondering about the fate of CSGO and how the new release will impact their gaming experience.

The End of an Era

CSGO, with its tactical shooter gameplay, had quickly become a fan favorite since its launch nearly 11 years ago. However, with the introduction of Counter Strike 2, CSGO is rendered obsolete, marking the end of an era for this beloved game. The new game, developed with an updated engine and enhanced tick rate, promises to overhaul the gaming experience completely, translating maps and ensuring that the essence of the game remains intact.

CSGO’s Playability Post CS2 Release

Post the release of Counter Strike 2, CSGO has become entirely unplayable online on the official Valve servers, replaced in the Steam inventory by its successor. However, the Xbox 360 servers still being live, and the ability to load up a CSGO beta via Steam to play with bots. This has raised concerns among the gaming community, especially those who had been long-time fans of CSGO.

Gamers who had invested in CSGO skins might be relieved to know that these skins are going to carry over to CS2. This seamless transition of game elements ensures that players do not lose their cherished game assets. The enhanced features of Counter Strike 2 are set to immerse gamers into a new world, leaving little time to mourn the burial of CSGO.

NVIDIA Reflex Optimizes System Latency in CS2

0

Valve has unveiled Counter-Strike 2, a monumental upgrade to the iconic Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, bringing significant technical and visual enhancements. This release marks a pivotal moment in gaming, leveraging the Source 2 engine and NVIDIA Reflex technology to offer gamers unprecedented levels of responsiveness and visual fidelity.

Counter-Strike 2 represents the largest technical advancement in the series, utilizing the Source 2 engine to deliver enhanced graphics, dynamic lighting, and realistic textures and materials. This upgrade is not just a visual treat but a comprehensive overhaul, promising a gaming experience like never before.

NVIDIA Reflex: A Game-Changer

In collaboration with NVIDIA, Counter-Strike 2 incorporates NVIDIA Reflex technology, designed to minimize system latency and optimize the rendering pipeline across the CPU and GPU. This innovation is crucial for competitive gaming, where lower latency can be the difference between victory and defeat, allowing faster target acquisition, quicker reactions, and enhanced aim precision.

The GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs are at the forefront, ensuring that gamers experience the ultimate Counter-Strike 2 gameplay with unbeatable performance and the lowest latency. Whether on a PC or laptop, the GeForce RTX 40 Series guarantees that your gaming skills are not hindered by system latency or frame rates, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the gaming world.

Dynamic Gameplay Experience

Counter-Strike 2 introduces reimagined maps and dynamic volumetric objects, including smoke grenades that interact with the environment and react to lighting, gunfire, and explosions. These technical enhancements demand the capabilities of modern GPUs to maintain high frame rates and ensure a smooth and immersive gaming experience.

Measuring and Reducing Latency

NVIDIA Reflex is now a staple in over 70 supported titles, used by over 50 million players each month. It reduces “input lag,” the delay between a player’s action and its appearance on the screen, which is crucial in competitive games like Counter-Strike 2. Gamers can measure and reduce system latency using tools like GeForce Experience’s Performance Overlay, the Reflex Analyzer, and FrameView, ensuring a responsive gaming experience.

Counter-Strike 2, with its advanced technology and collaboration with NVIDIA, is set to redefine gaming standards. The integration of NVIDIA Reflex technology and the power of the GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs ensure that gamers can experience the lowest levels of system latency and the highest frame rates, making the game more responsive and visually stunning. This release is not just an upgrade; it’s a revolution in the gaming world, promising to offer an unparalleled gaming experience to players around the globe.
