CS2 Introduces Weekly Care Package

0

Valve has introduced a novel approach to the weekly drops players receive as they level up their XP rank in CS2. Every week, upon attaining a new XP rank, players will be entitled to a weekly care package, allowing them to select their rewards instead of receiving a random one. This means players can choose between skins, sprays, cases, and more, making the gaming experience more user-centric and rewarding.

In CS2, after completing a match and leveling up, players can select two out of four in-game items will be there, including cases, weapon skins, or sprays. These items are immediately available in the player’s inventory and marked as “claimed” in the store, streamlining the reward process and enhancing user satisfaction.

The store has undergone significant improvements. The Market tab allows players to purchase cases directly, fueling the weapon skin market that has been a significant revenue source for Valve. However, the store continues to sell sticker capsules from BLAST Paris 2023, the last CSGO Major, and features a variety of stickers, music kits, and capsules available for purchase. If you are wondering when Valve will remove the Paris 2023 Major sale, it is still unknown.

This launch signifies a pivotal moment in gaming, with Valve integrating innovative features and a more user-centric approach, potentially setting new standards in the gaming industry. The enhanced storefront and the revamped rewards system are likely to elevate the gaming experience, making it more engaging and rewarding for players.

Valve Finally Announces CS2: What’s New?

0

Counter-Strike 2 has been released, marking a significant upgrade from its predecessor, CSGO. Valve has introduced this new version, featuring major enhancements. This release has been long-awaited, with rumors circulating for years before Valve officially announced CS2 in March, followed by a limited test.

Enhanced Visual Experience

The game introduces upgraded lighting and maps, providing players with a visually enriched experience. Classic maps like Dust II have received updates to lighting and textures, maintaining the essence of gameplay. Meanwhile, full overhaul maps like Overpass have been completely rebuilt in Source 2, exploiting all the features the engine has to offer.

These enhancements are not just cosmetic; they play a crucial role in the game’s visual effects, from UI to gameplay, offering redesigned bullet impacts and environmental effects, making the game more realistic and immersive.

Game-Changing Smokes and VFX

The upgrades extend to visual effects and smokes, with Valve considering the update to smokes as a “game-changer.” Smoke grenades are now dynamic volumetric objects that interact with the environment and react to lighting, gunfire, and explosions.

This fundamental change alters the way players use smokes, requiring more teamwork, coordination, and utility to clear or hold an area effectively.

Refined Audio and Network

The game also sees significant improvements in audio and network. The audio in CS2 has been reworked, rebalanced, and reverbed to better reflect the physical environment and make sounds more distinct.

The networking infrastructure has evolved from operating in time intervals, called ticks, to a sub-tick update architecture, making movement, shooting, and throwing more consistent and instantly responsive.

Innovative Ranking System

Veteran players will notice the innovative changes in the ranking system. Valve has introduced a CS Rating leaderboard, showing players where they stand skill-wise at a regional and global level.

The old Silver to Global Elite system has also been revamped, calculated on a per-map basis, encouraging players to master every map to achieve a Global Elite for each.

Valve Launches Counter Strike 2

0

Valve has officially released Counter-Strike 2. It is the fifth installment in the renowned game’s franchise. As expected, this release serves as a free upgrade to the 2012 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), bringing a plethora of enhancements and new features to the gaming community.

Counter-Strike 2 emerges from its beta phase, offering a universal gaming experience, no longer confined to a select group of beta testers. This sequel is not merely a continuation but a substantial upgrade from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), allowing players to retain their inventories.

For those who have been part of the Counter-Strike journey through CSGO, transitioning to the new game is as simple as updating the game through Steam. However, newcomers to the series can easily download CS2 as a brand-new game from the Steam marketplace, ensuring that everyone can partake in this enhanced gaming experience.

The Premier mode has been updated by Valve, and a new leaderboard system that uses the “CS rating” statistic has also been unveiled. The adjustment in the number of rounds played for matchmaking and Majors from MR15 to MR12 has had a tremendous influence on the competitive scene and has substantially changed the nature of competitive play.

While Counter-Strike 2 offers a plethora of new features and enhancements, it retains the essence of the series, providing a sense of familiarity amidst the innovations. It’s a harmonious blend of the old and the new, ensuring that the game remains true to its roots while offering fresh and exciting elements to explore.

CSGO Servers Down: Is Counter-Strike 2 Coming Soon?

0

CSGO Matchmaking Servers and the CS Network experienced a global outage on September 28, 2023, at 1 AM IST, leaving fans and players in anticipation and speculation. This unexpected downtime has sparked rumors and heightened excitement among the gaming community, with many believing that this could be the precursor to the much-anticipated release of Counter-Strike 2 from its beta version.

The sudden unavailability of servers was not limited to a specific region; instead, it was a global phenomenon, affecting every single Valve server region, with the exception of EU North. This widespread disruption has left both games unplayable online, presumably due to Valve making the final configurations to roll out a substantial update for CS2.

Is Counter-Strike 2 Coming Soon?

The global downtime has fueled speculations and eagerness among fans who are ardently waiting for the release of Counter-Strike 2. This speculation is not unfounded, as the timing of the server outage coincides with the period when Counter-Strike 2 is expected to exit its beta phase and be unveiled to the public.

The server outage has also had a significant impact on the eSports scene, particularly on the ongoing ESL Pro League, causing unforeseen delays. Reports suggest that ESL was considering the possibility of switching to CS2 mid-tournament, polling teams for their opinions. The way other tournament organizers will adapt to the new version of the game in their upcoming events remains uncertain.

Krafton Introduces Audience Map Picks For BGIS 2023 Losers Bracket

0

Krafton is leaving no stone unturned to elevate the competition in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS 2023) Losers Bracket. In its first announcement, Krafton introduced the Special Power Cards feature for Losers Bracket, which adds a new twist to the game. And now, it has introduced “Audience Map Picks,” giving fans the power to shape the terrain where the matches will unfold.

Audience Map Picks in BGIS 2023 Losers Bracket

The new “Audience Map Picks”  feature will enable the audience to influence the maps where intense matches unfold directly. However, it is essential to note that, like the Special Power Cards feature, this feature is also exclusive to Losers Bracket.

The concept is elegantly simple – during the broadcast of BGIS 2023 Loser Bracket matches, Krafton will host polls each day of Losers Bracket. These polls will allow viewers to express their preferences for the map where the action will unfold.

The impact of audience participation is significant. The first poll will take place during the first two matches of each day, and at the end of the voting period, the map with the maximum number of votes will be selected as Map 3 of the day. Likewise, the second poll will take place during the fourth and fifth matches of each day, and at the end of the voting period, the map with the maximum number of votes will be selected as Map 6.

As the BGIS 2023 tournament unfolds, the two new Losers Bracket-exclusive features will be a game-changer. Teams will need to alter their strategies in accordance with these features. Additionally, the potential for surprise victories and stunning reversals of fortune with these features make the Losers Bracket even more interesting to watch.
