Fire Knife Glitch Stuns Counter-Strike 2 Community

In the world of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), a game renowned for its graphical enhancements and meticulously designed maps, an unexpected glitch has left players both stunned and intrigued. A player experienced a bizarre incident where their knife spontaneously ignited during a round on Overpass, causing a flurry of speculation and amazement within the gaming community.

The game, released on September 27, has been a focal point in the gaming realm, not solely for its advancements but also for the myriad of bugs and issues unveiled post-launch. This particular glitch was shared on Reddit, where a player’s knife astonishingly caught fire in the midst of a round, leaving the player and the community in awe.

The Incendiary Incident

The footage depicts the player switching to a Molotov and throwing it towards Overpass’ waterlogged area near the B site. However, when reverting back to their knife, it was ablaze, the blade fully engulfed in flames while the player maintained hold of the grip. The player, understandably shocked, retreated to a safer location, attempting to make sense of the unforeseen occurrence.

Community Reactions and Speculations

The CS2 community rapidly expressed their astonishment on the Reddit thread, with many pondering if the incendiary knife would have inflicted additional damage upon enemy contact. Observations and speculations were rife, with one player noting the potential of other weapons exhibiting similar fiery traits, expressing a desire for a “.308 flamethrower Valve.”

This fiery glitch is not the sole issue players have encountered since CS2’s release. Reports of game-altering bugs, such as random elements from Mirage appearing within other maps, have surfaced, affecting visibility and gameplay. Despite these challenges, CS2 has achieved significant success, with over 1.3 million peak players, but the community yearns for a more refined Counter-Strike experience, free from game-breaking bugs and equipped with key features.

This unexpected fiery knife glitch in Counter-Strike 2 has sparked discussions and speculations within the gaming community, highlighting the game’s existing bugs and the desire for enhancement and refinement. The incident serves as a reminder of the continuous evolution and unforeseen challenges in the gaming world, fueling anticipation for future developments and improvements in the game.

CS2: NVIDIA Reflex Optimizes System Latency Up to 35%

Today, Valve launched Counter-Strike 2, the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike’s history, that upgrades Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to the Source 2 engine, leveraging newer graphics APIs for improved fidelity and responsiveness.

NVIDIA has worked with Valve to make sure system latency, which is critical to winning, is at an absolute minimum with the addition of NVIDIA Reflex.

Victory Measured in Milliseconds

In competitive shooters such as Counter-Strike 2, higher FPS and lower system latency allow you to acquire targets faster, react quicker, and increase aim precision. GeForce RTX 40 series delivers the ultimate Counter-Strike 2 experience – lowest latency with NVIDIA Reflex (sub 15ms PC latency) and highest FPS.  Gamers with compatible GPUs can enable NVIDIA Reflex in Counter-Strike 2 to reduce system latency by up to 35%.

NVIDIA Reflex

NVIDIA Reflex is a must-have in games, reducing system latency so your actions occur quicker, giving you a competitive edge in multiplayer matches, and making single-player titles more responsive and enjoyable. NVIDIA Reflex is now used by over 50 million players each month, is available in 9 of the top 10 competitive shooters and is activated by 90% of GeForce gamers in over 80 supported titles.

Measuring Latency

If you’re going to test latency in Counter-Strike 2 we recommend using the NVIDIA Frameview tool for the most accurate results. NVIDIA LDAT is also available for the most ‘professional’ testing experience. Contact your NVIDIA PR representative for more details.

Chinese F1 racer Zhou Guanyu playing CS2 with cadiaN

CS2 has finally landed on our hard drives after years of speculations and months of beta testing. While fans love CS2, it will be safe to assume that the hype has ascended beyond the realms of gaming and everyone is trying their hands at the new game.

In one of his recent Instagram posts, we can see Guanyu playing CS2 with no other Heroic IGL, Casper “cadiaN” Moller. The pair likely played a few matches together and it would be safe to assume that the Chinese racer is a huge fan of the game. Judging by his skin collection, it would be fair to assume he invests a significant amount of time and resources into the game and the launch of the latest version has made him just as excited as any of us.

Traditional sports athletes have shown their interest in video games in the past and for someone like Zhou Guanyu to do it is anything but surprising. He hails from China, a region that has been dominating the CSGO esports scene in and around Asia and boasts a massive fanbase that has witnessed some of the biggest events in the history of the game on their soil.

The Alpha Romeo driver has been enjoying the best year of his career with a career record finish in most recent races and looks to relax post-practice sessions by playing CS2 with the best players in the world.

Formula One being a traditional sport will help spread the word of CS2’s arrival and will potentially attract more players to the game. China being an already dominant region for the game will likely get a boost looking at their top F1 Racer playing it at such a level which will motivate the youngsters to try their hands at CS2 with more vigour.

Team India wins Skyesports Souvenir 2023 beating Team UAE 2-1

Skyesports Souvenir 2023 saw Gods Reign represent India against the best of UAE in Shush in a best-of-3 match. With two teams representing the respective regions, Team UAE walked into the match as favourites while Team India has proven in the past that it would be foolish to write them off. Both teams with qualities to look out for locked horns in the Skyesports Souvenir 2023.

Picks & Bans

  • Team UAE removed Ancient
  • Team India removed Nuke
  • Team UAE picked Mirage
  • Team India picked Overpass
  • Team UAE removed Anubis
  • Team India removed Vertigo
  • Inferno was left over

Game 1: Mirage [Pick: Team UAE; Winners: Team India ]

Shush started off strong in their own map pick going 5-0 up off the back of a pistol-round victory. Having dominated the scoreboard early on, Gods Reign took charge of the situation converting the following 3 rounds before Shush got back on the board again. The first half was mostly Shush but GR managed to squeeze out 6 rounds to end the half with a 9-6 favouring Shush.

God Reign having started off strong with the pistol, the 3 rounds deficit was quickly levelled and the Indians found their stride. A well-organised T side, saw them put together 10 rounds on the offence thus crushing all hopes of Team UAE to close the game from the lead they garnered in the first half. Team India won the map with a close 16-14 scoreline with Crazy_Gamer being the main man for their side with 29 kills.

Game 2: Overpass [Pick: Team India; Winners: Team UAE]

Gods Reign kicked off Overpass on the right foot by stealing the pistol round from their opponents on the CT side of the map. They managed to take the following round as well without much hassle as Shush struggled to get much value out of their force buy. It wasn’t until the fifth round that Shush could put up their first point on the board. They carried over their momentum through the following rounds as they equalized the score 4-4. The two teams traded rounds back and forth as Team India closed out the half 8-7 in their favour.

The second half of Overpass was pretty much a one-sided domination from team Shush. After winning the pistol round on the T-side, they kept winning back-to-back rounds, leaving no room for mistakes for their enemies to capitalize on. In fact, team India could only grab a single round in the second half before Team UAE closed the game out with a score of 16-9 in their favour. Shush star ‘HopeDaBeast’ was crowned as the MVP of the game, rocking a K/D/A of 33/15/6 with a whopping 133 ADR.

Game 3: Inferno [Pick: Decider; Winners: Team India]

Gods Reign having lost a big chunk of their momentum walked into the game as second favourites. Both teams traded blows with heavy hitters doing their jobs for their respective teams. The back-and-forth affair in the first few rounds caused either team to fail to get any footing whatsoever in the game. However, Team India was able to put together a string of rounds to close the first half with a 8-7 scoreline narrowing out.

Celebrating this victory is not just for the team but for all of India. We’ve shown that Indian esports cannot be taken lightly. Today we lift the Skyesports Souvenir trophy for ourselves, for our supporters and for our nation. I am proud to be part of Gods Reign, and this triumph reaffirms our hard work and dedication. We’re just getting started! – Parijat “reV3nnnn” Banerjee

The second half wasn’t any different, both teams kept trading blows until Team UAE reached a series point upon which Team India managed to win two in a row to force overtime. The T-side of Team India looked unconvincing but they managed to match their opponent and push the game to overtime thus giving them a second chance at the trophy. The overtime saw Team India get into shape and not let anything more than a single round slip which eventually ended up with a 19-16 scoreline that will see them win the trophy along with a huge chunk of the prize money. Garvit ‘EmbeR’ Nehra was the MVP of the third map with a 31-18 scoreline and a 1.41 rating which is beyond impressive since slotting into the main team only some time ago.

Hastar Explains the Reason Behind GodLike Esports’ Recent Struggle in BGMI

0

GodLike Esports, once a dominant force in the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports scene, has been facing a challenging period recently. The team’s inability to perform at its previous heights has left the team frustrated. Former BGMI professional player Gopal “Hastar” Sarda recently shed light on the underlying reasons behind the team’s recent struggles. During a recent livestream, Hastar offered valuable insights into the changing dynamics of BGMI competition, which have had a significant impact on teams like GodLike Esports.

Hastar States BGMI Teams Have Studied GodLike Esports’ Gameplay

In a recent livestream, Hastar discussed the potential roster changes that GodLike Esports has teased. He also explained why the team is facing challenges despite being one of the most prominent teams years ago. Hastar highlighted a crucial shift in the dynamics of BGMI competition compared to two years ago. In the past, when TSM Entity (GodLike Esports’ current roster) knocked a player from an opponent squad, the conventional response was for the remaining members of the injured team to back off. “Because they used to know that TSM Entity (GodLike Esports’ current roster) knocked the player out, so the player will obviously get finished, and they will push you. So, it is better not to revive, and  rather take a 3v4 fight instead of helping the player revive,” he added.

The evolution of BGMI competition has seen teams adapt and develop new strategies. Hastar stated that teams today have learned to hold back an opposing team’s push when one of their players is knocked. “If one of the players is knocked, two players know how to hold the push,” he said. Further explaining how it affects GodLike Esports, he added, “Because of that Godlike Esports’ natural gameplay was ruined or other teams understood their gameplay.”

Hastar States BGMI Esports Has Become Data-Oriented

Following this, Hastar explained that the BGMI esports competition has become more data-oriented these days. He also noted the increased presence of coaches and analysts in BGMI teams. “Two years ago not every team had a coach. These days almost every proper Tier-1 team has a coach. Many teams also have analysts, and in a few teams the coach and the analyst are the same person. These things help a lot as they tell a lot of things about opponent teams,” he said.

Hastar highlighted how the competitive landscape of BGMI has transformed such that each team strives to outshine the other. “Previously Godlike Esports’ domination used to be one sided, or Team SouL used to win consecutive tournaments. But these days that does not happen anymore. Sometimes Team SouL fails to qualify, sometimes Godlike Esports fails to qualify. So these days every team has analyzed the data of every other team. All teams know how other teams play,” he added.

Crosskill Esports’ CKxKinG Banned During BGIS 2023 Losers Bracket

0

After two disqualifications and two ban waves during Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGIS) 2023, the tournament was rocked by yet another shocking hacking-related revelation. In a dramatic turn of events, CKxKinG, the In-Game Leader (IGL) of Crosskill Esports, found himself in trouble as BGMI’s Anti-Cheat System caught him red-handed for hacking during a live tournament match. What sets this incident apart is KinG’s surprising confession of hacking.

Crosskill Esports Was Unaware Of KinG’s Hacking Activities in BGIS 2023

KinG caught the attention of the BGMI community with his impressive IGL skills in BGIS 2023. The team showed a commendable performance until the Losers Bracket, where he got banned. In a tournament that had already witnessed its fair share of controversies and rule violations, KinG’s ban added another layer of complexity to the unfolding drama.

Interestignly, the remaining three players of Crosskill Esports claim to have been completely unaware of KinG’s illicit actions. In order to clear their names, the players provided their Point of View (POV) recordings, demonstrating that they had no part in the hacking scandal. Through their social media posts, these players vehemently reprimanded KinG for jeopardizing not only his career, but also theirs. Additionally, even the owners of the organization did not know about KinG’s illicit activities.

One of the players on the team, Dexter, posted an Instagram story stating that he was leaving Crosskill Esports because the IGL of the team was hacking. He affirmed that the remaining three players didn’t know that King was hacking. In the following Instagram Story, Dexter revealed that KinG had instantly blocked his teammates on social media following the ban, cutting off communication abruptly.

KinG’s Surprising Confession of Hacking

In a surprising twist, KinG, after a period of silence, unblocked one of his teammates and extended an apology. He admitted to hacking during the third match of BGIS 2023 Day 1 and disclosed that he had also experimented with hacks on his alternate account, which had also faced the consequences of a ban. KinG’s apology, however, did little to undo the damage already inflicted on his team and the organization’s reputation.

Interestingly, despite facing backlash from his teammates, KinG did not allege that his teammates knew that he was hacking.

ESL Pro Tour and ESL Impact to Switch to Counter-Strike 2

0

ESL Pro Tour and ESL Impact are swiftly adapting their ongoing and upcoming competitions to incorporate Counter Strike 2, allowing players to immerse themselves fully in the enhanced gaming experience that CS2 offers.

Several competitions, including the ESL Challenger Jönköping Qualifiers and the ESL Impact League Season 4, have transitioned to CS2 with immediate effect. This transition is crucial as practice opportunities for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) become limited, necessitating teams and players to focus on developing their skills in CS2.

Upcoming competitions like the Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023 and all ESL Counter-Strike competitions scheduled after it will also be played on CS2. This includes various national championships and the recently announced ESL Pro Tour competitions in 2024, marking a significant shift in the competitive gaming landscape.

With the transition to CS2, affected tournaments are adapting to an MR12 format, meaning ongoing competitions will see a mix of MR15 and MR12 matches. In instances where tiebreakers go to round difference, a decider match will be organized to settle the tie, ensuring fair play and competition integrity.

CS2 is currently available on FACEIT, and competitions like the ESL Pro League Season 18 and ESEA League Season 46 will continue to be played on CS:GO, concluding in October. The swift adaptation to CS2 across various platforms and competitions signifies the game’s impact and the gaming community’s eagerness to experience it.
