BGIS 2026 Registration Starts 15 December 2025: Key Rules Every Player Should Know

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026 has officially been announced, and Krafton has finally revealed the registration date for India’s biggest underdog esports tournament. The event will take place from January to March 2026, giving new teams a golden chance to prove their skills on the national stage. In this article, we will explain the registration date, how long registrations may stay open, how many players you can add, the eligibility criteria, how to register, and all the important rules you must follow.

BGIS 2026 Registration Date

BGIS 2026 registrations will begin on 15 December 2025. Krafton has not yet revealed the last date for registration, but players can expect at least one week to complete their team registration. Make sure your entire squad is ready with all details before the process starts.

Before we move forward, it is important to mention that the official BGIS 2026 rulebook has not been released yet. This means some rules may be added or updated later. In this article, we have explained the basic rules that remain the same every year and that players must follow.

Criteria & Allowed Players

To participate in BGIS 2026, all players need to meet the eligibility criteria. Every player must be 16 years or older, and each player must be an Indian citizen. Your BGMI account level should be 30 or higher, and your in-game tier must be Platinum I or above before registering. These requirements ensure fair play and avoid smurf accounts.

Regarding team size, you must register with at least 4 main players. In addition, you can add up to 2 substitute players, bringing your squad to a maximum of 6 players. Substitutes help teams in case of emergencies, health issues, or technical problems.

BGIS 2025 Registration Link and How to Register

The entire registration process takes place on the Krafton India Esports (KIE) official website. First, you need to create your KIE account. If you already have one, you do not need to create it again. When creating your account, you must verify your phone number, complete an eligibility check, and enter your basic details, such as your name, date of birth, and password.

After your account is created, you must complete your player profile. This includes entering your in-game name, UID, uploading a screenshot of your in-game profile, and mentioning your primary and secondary roles in the team. You should also add and verify your email ID to avoid login issues later.

Once registrations open on 15 December, go to the Tournament Section on the website and select BGIS 2026. Then click on Create Team, enter the team details, and invite your players using their KIE ID or phone number. After all players accept the invitation, your team registration will be completed. If you face any problems, you can check the detailed guides available on TalkEsport.com.

Important Rules to Keep in Mind

Every player participating in BGIS must be at least 16 years old. If a player is under 18, they must submit a parental consent form. Players must use their original BGMI account, and the level and rank must match the required criteria. All information entered during registration must be correct; incorrect information may lead to instant rejection. No player should be an employee of Krafton or the organizers, and every participant must register using only one account.

Teams must register with four main players, and they can also include one or two substitutes. After the roster is locked, player changes are not allowed unless organizers provide special approval. Each team must select a captain who will communicate with the organizers. During the tournament, teams must play only with those players who are officially registered.

Player names must follow a fixed format. Offensive names, abusive words, or brand names are not allowed in the IGN. Once the tournament starts, a player cannot change their IGN unless the organizers approve the change.

Krafton follows a strict zero-tolerance policy for cheating. This means that hacks, cheats, ESP, scripts, and mods are completely banned. Emulator devices, triggers, controllers, and macros are also not allowed. Players cannot abuse bugs or glitches to gain an advantage. Account sharing, selling, or lending is strictly prohibited. Match fixing, teaming, or intentionally losing a match can lead to direct disqualification.

These are the key details and basic rules you need to know before registering for BGIS 2026. Once the official rulebook is released, make sure to read it carefully to understand any new updates or changes.

How to Get Fortnite CourageJD Icon Skin

After months of waiting and even a tad of humorous timing-where Fortnite hilariously announced his dog Louis would get an Icon Series member status before him, CouRageJD has finally joined Fortnite’s exclusive Icon Series.

Here’s everything that you need to know in order to secure this highly anticipated cosmetic.

How to Get Fortnite CourageJD Icon Skin

There are two ways to get the CourageJD Icon skin, each with different benefits and timelines. First, and perhaps easier for many, is the Item Shop purchase, which becomes available on December 17, 2025, at 7 PM ET for 3,000 V-Bucks ($24). This is straightforward, and any player can get the full bundle whenever they want.

Competitive players, however, have a golden opportunity: the Courage Icon Cup tournament on December 13. This Duos Battle Royale competition allows the top-placing players in each region to take home the entire cosmetic bundle for free four days before its official release. Even those who don’t place highest can earn the 100 Thieves Emoticon by accumulating just eight points during the event.

Bundle Contents

This bundle truly shows off its value with three different outfit variants. The main CourageJD Outfit reflects the creator’s personal style, featuring several color palettes, including white and black jacket options with his signature lion crest branding. Then comes the Final Boss Courage, which changes the skin into a fully armored knight in striking black-and-red or white-and-gold fashion, stamped with the lion logo. A reimagined Red Knight Remix skin rounds out the outfit collection, keeping classic features while incorporating CouRage’s unmistakable branding and color palette.

In addition to skins, the bundle includes matching back bling pieces, a pickaxe with the Leviathan swing animation, victory emotes with crowd cheers, a reactive wrap, and, most importantly, Louis is the very first Icon Series Sidekick, making CouRageJD’s dog canonically a part of Fortnite history.

New CS2 Update Reverses False VAC Bans

Valve has shipped out a new update to Counter-Strike 2 on December 8th, and while it’s not a major one, it addresses a key issue that a number of players had raised concerns over the past few days.

The latest CS2 update has reversed a series of recent VAC bans that were wrongly given out to users.

“Fixed a case that caused a small number of users to receive an erroneous VAC ban,” the patch notes read. “The bans will be removed.”

Apart from the false VAC bans being removed, the new CS2 update also brings with it a couple of minor changes to the competitive shooter.

CS2 December 8 Update: Patch Notes

Below, we’ve listed the official patch notes for the December 8 CS2 update, as confirmed by Valve:

  • Improved shadow fidelity on view models.
  • Added local client icon cache for inventory items.
  • Fixed a case that caused a small number of users to receive an erroneous VAC ban. The bans will be removed.

IEM Cologne Major Set to Have Additional Europe Spot

IEM Cologne Major is next up on the calendar, and given how the Budapest Major has gone, Cologne will have one more slot assigned to Europe, which will allow one additional team from the EU to be able to take part in the Major.

The slot Europe gains will be taken from Asia, and this only comes after most Asian teams failed to make a deep run at the Major. Let us look into how this slot reservation system works. European teams are getting 17 slots and 10 for the Americas, while Asia will have theirs reduced to 5.

Stage 1

Stage 1 will retain the standard invitation system, where 6 spots go to Europe and the Americas each, and Asia gets 4. Regional VRS rankings will determine who gets these invitations.

  • Europe: 6 spots
  • Americas: 6 spots
  • Asia: 4 spots

Stage 2

With none of the Asian teams being able to go beyond this stage, Asia will have its spot taken away by the Americas, leading to no Asian teams getting a direct invitation to this stage.

  • Europe: 5 spots
  • Americas: 3 spots

Stage 3

Thanks to FURIA and MongolZ, Stage 3 gets 1 invitation each for the Americas and Asia, and as European teams are dominating the field, 6 spots will be going to them.

  • Europe: 6 spots
  • Americas: 1 spot
  • Asia: 1 spot

Unfortunately for the Asian sides, they had to drop their slot to the European teams, and given how their form has been as of late, this result will hurt the development of Asian teams to a great extent, and the absence of the spot will need these teams to fight it out of Stage 1 to make a mark at the Major.

How To Fix Valorant Version Mismatch Error

The Valorant version mismatch error is one of the most common errors competitive players face, especially when patch updates occur. This error occurs if your game client becomes unsynchronized from the current version running on the server, making it impossible to queue for matches and disrupting your flow of competitive play. The good news? The fix is pretty straightforward, and you’ll be right back into it within minutes.

In this article, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about the Valorant version mismatch error and how you can solve the issue.

What is Valorant Version Mismatch Error

Version mismatch errors usually happen right after the release of new patches or when you try to start Valorant without downloading the freshest client updates. These may be due to an outdated game client, unstable internet connection, or corrupted game files. The error is actually a kind of protection. Outdated clients get refused by Riot’s servers to maintain game integrity and prevent compatibility issues throughout the competitive ecosystem.

How To Fix Valorant Version Mismatch Error

Get rid of Valorant Version Mismatch Error with our expert tips

Let’s begin with the easiest solution. Completely close down Valorant, open your Riot Client again, and let it install the most recent patch automatically. This instantly fixes 80% of version mismatch issues. Once you are updated, fire up the game and you are generally good to go.

If the first update does not work, repair your game files. Open the Riot Client and access your profile settings. Select Valorant and click the “Repair” button. This process will scan your game directory and replace any corrupted or conflicting files, without requiring you to do a full reinstall.

If you are still facing the error, reboot your PC. Sometimes, Windows neglects to properly read updated files, and the simple reboot clears temporary caches that cause the error.

If all the steps so far do not work, consider reinstalling Valorant. Though it is time-consuming, a fresh install will make sure everything is set up correctly. First, uninstall both the Riot Client and Valorant, then download a fresh copy from the official website.

Remember that patch updates roll out regionally in phases. Patience is your only ally if your region hasn’t received the latest update yet.

Second CS2 Major of 2026 to Be Held in Singapore, PGL Confirms

PGL has confirmed that the second CS2 Major of 2026 will be held in Singapore, marking the first time in history that Counter-Strike’s biggest tournament will be hosted in Southeast Asia.

The PGL Singapore Major 2026, scheduled to run from November 25 to December 13, 2026, will feature 32 elite teams from around the world competing for a $1.25 million USD prize pool.

https://twitter.com/pglesports/status/1997848907963859009

The tournament will span across three competitive stages, with the final four days taking place in front of a live audience at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

“Bringing the first Counter-Strike Major to Singapore is a moment that truly inspires us,” Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL, said in a statement. “This city has been home to some of our most memorable esports events, and we’ve always felt the energy and passion of the fans here. Returning now with a Counter-Strike Major feels like the natural next step.”

Singapore has previously hosted many of PGL’s major Dota 2 events, including the 2021 Singapore Major and The International 2022. That experience makes Singapore a logical choice for organizing a CS2 Major. It will also stand as the fifth esports event PGL has brought to Singapore.

PGL is no stranger to organizing CS2 Majors either. The PGL Singapore Major is set to be the fifth CS2 Major to be hosted by the company. In fact, the top three most-watched Counter-Strike events of all time, namely the Stockholm 2021 Major, the Antwerp 2022 Major, and the Copenhagen 2024 Major, were all organized by PGL.

Before the Singapore Major arrives, CS2 fans can look forward to IEM Cologne 2026, the first CS2 Major of the year, which will be hosted by ESL and begin on June 2.
