OpTic shuts down multiple international operations

1

OpTic Gaming have released their international rosters. The international rosters that were released are OpTic Brasil, OpTic SEA, and OpTic Mexico.

The move is considered to be as devaluation of the brand. The organization is looking to minimize the cost of operations after the forsaken’s debacle. The brand’s parent company Infinite Esports reportedly terminated President of the company too.

“Generally speaking, we think we grew too fast,โ€ Musselman told SportsBusinessDaily, โ€œI do want to emphasize weโ€™re not losing sight of the model of what we built.

OpTicโ€™s International Teams Released

McDonald’s Germany ends 15-year-old Football sponsorship contract for Esports

2

The German Football Association (DFB) and the renowned foodchain McDonald’s go their different routes following 15 years. As McDonald’s Germany declared on Friday, the year’s end lapsing contract isn’t renewed. Instead, they need to connect on esports.

“The decision for one is not necessarily the decision against the other, but reflects the general brand strategy to connect closer to the lives of teens and Twens,” said Philipp Wachholz, spokesman for McDonald’s Germany.

Football escort as an imperative segment

“The progression into eSport was completely ideal for us, and we see a huge increment in brand mindfulness among the focused on a group of onlookers,” said Wachholz.

A vital piece of the 2004 participation with the DFB was the supposed McDonald’s football escort.ย It permitted the support kids and youngsters, at universal matches with the national players to keep running into the stadium.

Further allegations and accusations arise on Entity Gaming by former coach

Sid is misleading the audience into believing him to be a lot more important than he is in the context of Entity. He speaks as thoughย heย was the one making decisions, sayingย heย decided to let me go.

These are the exact words of Anthony Hodgson, former coach of Entity Gaming DotA roster. The rift between Anthony and his former employer doesn’t seem to end just yet. The complete statement is a follow-up of the on going controversy in which he has accused Entity, Mineksi & GESC of wrongdoings.

Chief Operating Officer of Mineski had publicly apologized hours ago. On the other side Entity Gaming refuted the accusation.

Anthony ‘Scantzor’ Hodgson’s full statement

Entity were the first to respond to my article. In fact, less than an hour after publishing it, I received a message from a third party letting me know that my ex colleague, Sid Joshi, manager of Entity Gaming, wanted me to know that he intended to sue me. I heard through a separate third party, that Entity wanted me to respond to questions about an NDA Iโ€™d supposedly signed. Iโ€™ll respond to both by sayingโ€Šโ€”โ€Šgood luck suing somebody for breaching a contract that youโ€™re already in breach of yourself.

Following these informal interactions, Sid took toย Reddit, sharing a most marvelous tale about how Iโ€™d actually been some kind of awful villain, and that heโ€™d bravely fired me to protect his team. I have three comments to make here. First, his story is full of lies, some of which are easily disputable. He spends a lot of time discussing one particular incident for which he was not even present in the buildingโ€Šโ€”โ€Šmeanwhile, others were, including one player who has already corroborated in the same thread that Sid is lying.

Second, even if his story were true, it doesย nothingย to explain why all of my players were fired. So the entire attempt to discredit me is just incoherent. It would be very strange to fire the players for my bad behavior.

Third, I feel obliged to point out that Sid is also misleading the audience into believing him to be a lot more important than he is in the context of Entity. He speaks as though he was the one making decisions, saying he decided to let me go. This couldnโ€™t be further from the truth. Sid was in no way my superior in Entityโ€Šโ€”โ€Šin fact, for most of the time I was there, I was practically doing his job for him while doing my own as well. I didnโ€™t feel any need to mention them by name in my original post, but since they seem to be making an explicit effort to distance themselves from this, I canโ€™t see why their identities should be hidden.

Aside from Sidโ€™s main post, judging by the overall impression I got from his replies in the thread, his position seems to be something like โ€œBut we did nice things for you!โ€ Itโ€™s true. They did some nice things. I donโ€™t think I ever suggested that they were evil incarnate. But, firstly, they also did plenty of awful things that Iโ€™ve not bothered to discuss because they donโ€™t pertain to the breach of contract. For example, on the day I was departing India, I was robbed of $1400 that theyโ€™d insisted on paying me in cashโ€Šโ€”โ€Šby Entityโ€™s housekeeper. When I brought it to their attention, their first response was to insist that it was not their responsibility. Subsequently, they had me strip down all my belongings three times in a row in front of them to be โ€œtotally sureโ€ it wasnโ€™t my fault. Iโ€™m not someone who easily accuses, but in this case there had been nobody in the house during the time the money was in my bag except for myself, players, management, and the housekeeper. Ultimately, the housekeeper was called in and questioned. He confessed, and most of my money was recovered. But their initial reactions were extremely telling.

Aside from that, itโ€™s just hilarious to imagine they might think that โ€˜doing some nice thingsโ€™ might remove their moral or legal responsibilities to compensate their employees appropriately when firing them without notice. One of my players declined an offer to join a teamโ€Šโ€”โ€Šwho subsequently qualified for the Kuala Lumpur Majorโ€Šโ€”โ€Šout ofย loyaltyย to Entity. Imagine a player sacrificing an opportunity in a tier 1 team for you, and then just casually kicking them to the curb.

Mineski’s COO publicly apologizes to Anthony Hodgson

The on going ruffle between Anthony ‘Scantzor’ Hodgson & Mineski took a sharp turn last evening. Orrin Xu, the COO, has publicly apologized.

The controversy picked up when Scantzor accused several renowned SEA organization of ill-treatment & unfair practices. Another accused in the controversy, Entity Gaming, had earlier responded to the allegations, denying misconduct.

The full statement from Orrin Xu

Hi, I’m Orrin, the current COO of Mineski Pro Team. On behalf of Mineski Pro Team, I’d like to sincerely apologize to @scantzorย on how he was treated during his time at Mineski Pro Team.

Unfortunately, as much as I’d like to say we are beyond this, the reality is scant’s time at Mineski was befitting of anyone working for the team. Whether its living conditions, treatment of staff, or the circumstances around your dismissal, we lacked showing of basic human decency, and for that I apologize personally and on behalf of the team & any one else in the company who demonstrated that towards you.

In regards to the issues such as Mineski CSGO, it was a failure from our side to plan ahead, which affected the players experience. This issue has already been rectified for all of our existing teams.

I’d like to believe since then, Mineski Pro Team has improved its conditions and treats all our employees fairly. We have enacted significant change across the board, whether it’s living conditions, salaries & general employee/player well being. Under my watch, I am trying to bring this up to a standard that i’m satisfied with and until then I consider it a failure of my job.

I wish you the best for your future endeavours, and hope your experiences there will be vastly better than how you were treated here.

Cheers,
Orrin
