Crazyarab was famous in the early 20โ€™s, where he won multiple online Counter-Strike: Source tournaments with a local team called NewType. He played the game at a professional for a very small period and chose to pursue a career in computer science and launched his own software company. His demise leaves behind his wife and daughter.

In an interview in 2012, he said that โ€œI would have never gotten into the tech industry had I not been obsessed with gaming during those years and the hours of focus, intense game play and desire to succeed has actually helped me alot [sic] in many aspects of my life. Of course, even if it was a complete waste of time, the people and friends I met during those years made it worth itโ€

The news of his demise was first posted on Twitter by Nick Shaw and was later confirmed by his family. He was shot and killed when he was praying in Masjid Al Noor Mosque.

Two fundraisers (givealittle & gofundme) have been started to support the families of those lost in the shootings in New Zealand.

Report-Konfig and Jugi to move to Cloud9

2

According to dust2.dk Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke and Jakob “JUGi” Hansen will complete the Cloud9 roster.

In April of 2018, OpTic went for a full Danish Roster, taking in the best Danish players available at that time to form a homegrown team. However, since then, the team has failed to get any championships titles and earned second places at cs_summit 3 and DreamHack Open Summer, and currently sit on a #32 ranking according to HLTV.

According to the report by dust2.dk, two of OpTic’s players, k0nfig and JUGi, are set complete the Cloud9 roster. This report comes after the North-American Organisation ending the trial period with Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro and with Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey also rumored to part ways with the organisation.

If this move is successful, the two teams will look like

Cloud9

  • Timothy “autimatic” Ta
  • William “RUSH” Wierzba
  • Maikil “Golden” Selim
  • Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke
  • Jakob “JUGi” Hansen

OpTic:

  • Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
  • Renรฉ “cajunb” Borg
  • Ismail “refrezh” Ali

Cloud9 reportedly part ways with kioShiMa

2

According to a report from Jarek “DeKay” Lewis, Cloud9 could possibly end it’s stint with French star, Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey. Earlier as the IEM Major: Katowice 2019 concluded, Robin โ€œflushaโ€ Rรถnnquist departed as the veteran decided to take a break from competitive Counter-Strike. Alongside him, Jordan โ€œZellsisโ€ Montemurro’s trial run on North-American organization’s roster also ended as Maikil “Golden” Selim returned back to active lineup after being away for a significant time period due to medical reasons.

Cloud9 was earlier reported negotiating with the 24 year-old Finnish star, Miikka “suNny” Kemppi. However, the talks did not lead to results as the Finn later initiated talks with his previous organization, ENCE eSports.

Cloud9 has also not confirmed about the team’s coach. The organization acquired Kory โ€œSEMPHISโ€ Friesen prior to signing former coL coach, Ron โ€œRamboโ€ Kim. Soham โ€œvalensโ€ Chowdhury has been playing this role since quite sometime but the organization planned to move the Indian-American to analytics division.

In the start of 2018, Cloud9 won ELEAGUE Major: Boston, but ever since, the organization has been in shambles as Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and Tarik “tarik”Celik departed one after another. While the veteran AWPer, Tyler โ€œskadoodleโ€ Latham took the hard decision and chose to retire from competitive Counter-Strike.

ESL Pro League Season 9 NA begins in April 2019, however, rosters will be locked today itself and Cloud9 is expected to finalize it’s roster for the same. As of now Cloud9’s roster comprises of the trio of:

  • Maikil “Golden” Selim (IGL)
  • Will “RUSH” Wierzba
  • Timothy “autimatic” Ta
  • Ronald โ€œRamboโ€ Kim (Coach/Trial)

Cloud9 is expected to announce a couple of players anytime soon to complete the roster.

Shroud may need second elbow surgery to recover from scooter accident

0

Earlier this week, it came to our notice that Shroud has fractured his left hand following an injury with his scooter. Shroud described his injury in a stream following his discharge from the end of the first surgery.

The injury was first reported by fellow streamer and flatmate, Justin โ€œJust9nโ€ Ortiz, who said that Shroud had hurt himself while riding a scooter, flying for about 10 feet before hitting the asphalt hard.

In the clip, he says that he could feel himself falling over the scooterโ€™s handlebars. While falling, he purposely shifted his weight to his left hand so that it doesnโ€™t impact his right hand which he uses for aiming. He mentions that the first surgery was only done to clean the wound, the second one will be used to add a plate in his elbow so that he can return to normalcy.

Even though his right hand did not get hurt, he still faces issues with gaming and feels pain while playing. In his current state, he is expected to return to the hospital to get himself examined next week to conduct a post surgery evaluation.

However, he will still have his hand in a sling and hence many not be able to come back to streaming full time.

โ€œWe have coaches, we have psychologists thereโ€™s a nutritionist coming here thinking about diet,โ€ Mott said.

โ€œAll these things, itโ€™s all about making you feel really good outside the game to perform inside the game.โ€
