CS:GO exploit allegedly allows wall-hacks without getting caught

A major bug/exploit has been discovered in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive which allows players to see other models through walls without the risk of being banned from the game.

The existence of cheating and hacking has plagued CS:GO over time, the primarily use of wall-hacks and aimbots gave the player an unfair advantage over the fair players.

Some third-party organizers like ESEA and FACEIT have made huge efforts to counter these cheats by using their advanced Anti-cheat, especially when it comes to competitive gaming thanks to the heavy-duty Anti-cheat systems deployed on their servers.

However recently, another exploit has been brought into the spotlight, knew that overrides the anti-cheat and allows player to use “sv_cheats 1” through the in-game console which enables player to see other player models through walls.

The below video was tweeted by the game expert “DonHaci” he shows the working of this exploit on a FACEIT Server.

It’s one of the most critical bug of the game, which allows you to enable “sv_cheats 1” in matchmaking, FACEIT, ESEA and various other servers ingame, “Would recommend not playing until this game-breaking bug has been fixed”

This clip shows how the match kicks off normally, but just when the console is opened and the command “Sv_cheats 1” is prompted, opens the door for hacks to be easily enabled.

According to “DonHaci” this exploit apparently isn’t new, as it turns out various players online have been using it since a while now.

If this is all true, then CSGO Devs and the gaming organizers have a much larger problem then they’ve initially realized.

Fortunately, thanks to the tweet by Haci which bought great amount of attention on various social media platforms allowing the exploit to be patched soon.

Astralis edges out Liquid for the last semifinal spot at the StarLadder Berlin CSGO Major

Astralis are the last team to earn their spot in the semifinals at the StarLadder Berlin CSGO Major.

The map picks went as follows:

  • Astralis banned Mirage
  • Team Liquid banned Train
  • Astralis picked Vertigo
  • Team Liquid picked Overpass
  • Team Liquid banned Nuke
  • Astralis banned Dust 2
  • Inferno is the decider

MAP 1: VERTIGO

Vertigo was picked for the first time in the whole Quarter-Final Bo3 Series, Vertigo kicked off with the Pistol round win for Team Liquid, With a great kill by ‘Nitro’ on the defuser Liquid ensured the first round on Vertigo, the following save round by Astralis ensured an easy second round for Liquid. On the following round a quick double kill by ‘Nitro’ and ‘Twistz’ ensured 3-0 for Liquid.

Astralis get their first round on the board with a brilliant 1v2 Clutch by ‘Device’ to get the quad kill that round, Later that half a lot of executes were tried and failed, most of them being on the A-Site of Vertigo. Having taken the economic advantage Astralisย  Started to run away with the half, Although with the Late push by Liquid they managed to get closer to Astralis closing the half with the score of 8-7.

A 4v3 Retake on the A-Site gave astralis the pistol round making it 9-7, Astralis easily took the following round and managed to get along with the momentum and win 3 rounds in a row after that. Three kills by ‘Device’ took them to Match Point 15-8, ‘Dupreeh’ contributed with his AWP and managed to get another 3k to help secure the first map of the Bo3 Series. Astralis takes the first map in the Bo3 series 1-0 with the score being 16-8.

MAP 2: OVERPASS

Overpass, the pick of the North Americans (Team Liquid). ‘Twistz’ with an amazing 3 kill at the B-site and ‘Stewie’ backing him up with his 2k secured the T-Side pistol round for Team Liquid. Round two went slightly better for Astralis, where โ€œXyp9xโ€ managed to cause a massive amount of damage to Team Liquid, even though they lost the round due to the C4, they did manage to gun down all the remaining players and cripple their economy. Yet Liquid managed to get out of it and get a lead of 4 rounds. But on the other hand ‘Gla1ve’ showed up his fantastic deagle play as he managed to get a must needed round with his 4k and Astralis managed to get their first round on board.

The Anti-eco round on the Team Liquid side did hurt them a little as it crippled their economy and Astralis managed to even out the score to 5-5, Liquid tried their executes and the rounds went back and forth and on the final round of the first half, ‘Elige’ showed up on top with his insane 1v2 Clutch with 6hp and took his team on a 3 round lead in the first half of the second map in the Bo3 series making it 9-6.

Astralis took the pistol round on the A-site as ‘Dupreeh’ was easily able to shut down the CT retake, Though the following round Liquid came out on top with their armour and upgraded pistol buy making it to double digits 10-7, After losing the Anti-Eco ‘Device’ showed up his amazing skills with the SG553 to win a 1v3 clutch. Astralis showed us why they’re best team in the world by playing their mind games, they found a weakness in Liquid and constantly tried to hit the B-Site and coming out on topmost of the rounds, this gave Astralis a 13-11 lead on the map. Though the crowd loved the string of B executes their opponents didn’t soon the scoreline hit 15-13 and Team Liquid had no choice but to force buy the following round to save their map pick and to take it to overtime. But yet another B hit, this time ‘Device’ managed to get a massive 4k to steal the slot for the Semi-Finals at the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019.

Astralis will be playing against NRG in the Semi-Finals of the Berlin Major, as NRG won 2-0 against Natus Vincere in the matchup earlier.

NRG proceed to the semi-finals of CSGO Berlin Major after taking down Na’Vi

NRG took a clean sweep over CIS fan-favorite Na’Vi going 2-0 against them at the Berlin Major today.

The map picks went as follows:

  • NRG removed Overpass
  • Natus Vincere removed Vertigo
  • NRG picked Dust2
  • Natus Vincere picked Mirage
  • Natus Vincere removed Train
  • NRG removed Inferno
  • Nuke is the decider

The first map was Dust 2. Na’Vi took a head start after securing a pistol round with a bomb defuse, but NRG responded with a risky force buy in the second round which transitioned into a round win. NRG gained a lot of momentum on their T-side and Tarik โ€œtarikโ€ Celek demolished the Na’Vi lineup with a quad kill in the 12th round on B-site. The first half went 10-5 in favor of NRG. In the second half NRG took the pistol round and the round following it but Na’Vi managed to answer back with a 5 round winning streak after the initial two round losses. Sadly, the star player of Na’Vi Aleksandr โ€œs1mpleโ€ Kostyliev seemed to be failing today as he kept missing crucial AWP shots which allowed NRG to take the first map 16-12.

With the score set 1-0 in the Best-of-three series, the second map of the day was Mirage. On Mirage NRG took the first pistol round on the CT-side but lost four of its players in a weak anti-forcebuy effort in the second round thus sustaining huge economic losses. With a relatively weak CT-side NRG struggled against the onslaught of s1mple and co. but did manage to pull of some amazing plays such as the aggressive AWP from tarik in the 12th round. The first half went 10-5 in favor of Na’Vi. In the second half NRG streaked an initial pistol round win into a four round win streak before they were shut down by Kirill โ€œBoombl4โ€ Mikhailov executing a quad kill hold on the A-site. In the 22nd round tarik helped NRG gain some more momentum with a 1v3 clutch on the B-site with excellent utility usage. The map went into overtime with a 15-15 scoreline as both the teams traded rounds back to back and nobody seemed to go down without a fight. The overtime began with NRG taking 2 wins and putting up a score of 17-15 before s1mple and Danylo โ€œZeusโ€ Teslenko managed to pull of an impressive B-site hold winning the final round of the first half of overtime 1. After the switch, Ethan “Ethan” Arnold pulled of an outstanding A hold enabling tarik and Vincent โ€œBrehzeโ€ Cayonte to carry out their rotations and secure the round on time. NRG kept their momentum going and overpowered Na’Vi to close out the map with a score of 19-17.

With the win on Mirage and Dust 2, NRG closed out the BO3 series 2-0 and earned their spot in the semi-finals where they will face off against the winner of the Liquid vs Astralis series. Na’Vi, on the other hand, will face disappointment at a Major event yet again and will be eliminated from the Berlin Major.

YevhenZolotarov-CEO NatusVincere:

Even before TI we decided that we need to keep the backbone of the team and I am very glad that, despite the high interest in NAVI players from other clubs, we managed to do so.
The only change in the roster has nothing to do with Blizzyโ€™s level of play โ€” it is the desire not to miss on the opportunity and strengthen ourselves with the super-experienced player who possesses the human qualities that are so lacking in our young team.
I am pleased to welcome Pasha in NAVI and sincerely want to thank Evgeniy for this season and the numerous Pogchamp moments he has given us.

Pasha is vastly experienced and will be a worthy addition to the NatusVincere squad.

We wish Natus Vincere best of luck in their future endeavors.

The hacker took control of stewie2k’s account and locked him out of it completely his account was hacked on the eve of his StarLadder Major Berlin Playoffs.

At around 5:10 CT, Stewie2k tweeted that someone hacked his Steam account and he was not able to do anything, he was totally locked out of it. He was unsure if he touched something or clicked on some suspicious link.

Stewie2k mentioned his account was hacked even after using two-factor authentication / Mobile Authentication. The hacker had locked stewie2k out of his account.

In another tweet Stewie congratulated the hacker saying “Hats off for the hacker,โ€ the Liquid player said. โ€œDedicated your life for these thingsโ€ฆgot what you want. Seems like (the CSGO devs) got it all under control though.โ€

Dota 2: 9pasha and ArsZeeqq leave Virtus.Pro

Virtus.Pro have been one of the most dominating teams in the DOTA PRO Circuit since the past 3 years, but glory at The International has always evaded them.

Despite placing 5th-6th at TI7 and Ti8, Virtus.Pro are not satisfied with their performance, considering the fact that VP have won multiple majors over the past few years, while placing 2nd at a handful of majors.

Placing 9th-12th at The International 2019 was the final straw. After their unsatisfactory performance, Virtus.Pro have made changes to their roster.

Earlier today Virtus.Pro announced that they have parted ways with Pavel โ€œ9pashaโ€ Khvastunov and Arseniy โ€œArsZeeqqโ€ Usov.

Pavel โ€œ9pashaโ€ Khvastunov has been part of the VP roster since August 2016 and has won 5 majors under the Virtus.Pro banner while winning many other prestigious events like multiple ESL ONE Events. He has been playing the role of offlane, and is statistically the best offlaner to ever play for Virtus.Pro.

9Pasha has been an integral part of the Virtus.Pro core since well over 3 years, both on and off the field. Known for his in-game skill and humor as well,9 Pasha will be sorely missed.

While this change is devastating, it was much needed, as the teamโ€™s results had stagnated and they were in dire need of fresh blood.

9Pasha has joined NatusVincere, with whom he will compete in the 2019-20 DPC season.

Arseniy ยซArsZeeqqยป Usov, the head coach of Dota 2 roster during DPC 2018/19 season, is to leave Virtus.pro along with 9pasha.HE had joined shortly after TI8 had ended, with VP finishing 5th-6th at the mega event.

  • Roman โ€œRAMZES666โ€Kushnarev
  • Vladimir โ€œNo[o]neโ€ Minenko
  • Vladimir โ€œRodjERโ€Nikogosyan
  • Alexei โ€œSoloโ€Berezin
