Team Empire drops Scandal

Team Empire drops Scandal – four active members remains to the team

Team Empire drops Scandal from their dota 2 roster after their poor performance at the Chinese Nanyang dota 2 championships season 2.

Team Empire drops scandal
Roman “Scandal” Sadotenkov

Roman “Scandal” Sadotenkov was a former player of Team Empire back in 2012.

Scandal then moved apart from the team due to some disputes with the managerial staff. During his 3 years of time span before he joined back Team Empire he was part of many other known organisations such as Rox-Kis, Power Rangers and Virtus-pro.Polar.

Team Empire looked promising during their performance by qualifying for the ESL One Manila and Manila Majors.

Team was brought down at the Chinese showdown at the Season 2 of Nanyang dota 2 championships. With poor performance at Nanyang the organisation decided to drop their mid player from the roster.

Statement by Team Empire.

” It is still unknown who is going to replace Roman. After Virtus.Pro have disbanded and Polarity have lost its financial support it is safe to assume that CIS free agents’ market is rather full. We hope that Team Empire will come back stronger with new mid player as well as Roman will find his new team and perform greatly. ”

Due to lot of roster changes in CIS regions and many teams disbanding such as Virtus.Pro and even polarity losing their financial support it is assumed that Scandal will be a free agent till the time he is able to find himself a new home.

This is what Scandal have to say about the Situation on his social media page.

The roster change took place after failing to qualify for the International 6 by acquiring bottom 3rd position in their qualifying bubble group and failing to grab a good spot at the season 2 of Nanyang Dota 2 championships. Team Empire is now a part of the post TI6 Shuffle before TI6.

Majors Restructured?

majors cancelled

Majors

As we all know after The International 5 Valve came up with Majors happening before the start of TI6. It is speculated that the format of Majors will be restructured.

Majors are basically 3 tournaments before The International which takes place every year affiliated with Valve.

The prize money is contributed by Valve and allows the community to enjoy Dota for the whole year.

Ehome’s Manager, Galahad, recently tweeted on weibo that he heard about Valve to cancel the Major’s post Ti6 and come up with a new tournament structure.

This information is not yet confirmed by anyone from Valve or any known personality.

Ehome’s Manager said :

” heard that there won’t be seasonal Majors next year. But Valve will pick some big tournament organisers like ESL and PGL to do CS:GO-like big tournaments. Valve will still provide the prize money. But the essence is that they will outsource the Majors and Valve will not provide the money of organising. Dota2 will have a Hall of Fame, which will select players that shone in the past. But the entrees must have retired for a year.”

With this, rooms for third party Organizers like Starladder & ESL are now open.

It is also speculated that Valve may go with third party organizers for the tournaments who proved to be the best for the community.

The above mentioned things are not yet confirmed and still are rumored.

Valve to take action against betting and gambling sites

1

Valve to take action against betting and gambling sites who are using openID API.

There have been enormous number of betting sites available where anyone can go and bet in game items and make money.

But everything has it’s own dark side where people are getting addicted to betting and gambling. As the items used to gamble or bet are basically items from Valve which are ingame cosmetics. Since Valve have left an option to the community for exchanging items with their friends. It is now used as a way of betting and gambling on 3rd party sites.

A recent announcement from Valve states

In 2011, we added a feature to Steam that enabled users to trade in-game items as a way to make it easier for people to get the items they wanted in games featuring in-game economies.

Since then a number of gambling sites started leveraging the Steam trading system, and there’s been some false assumptions about our involvement with these sites. We’d like to clarify that we have no business relationships with any of these sites. We have never received any revenue from them. And Steam does not have a system for turning in-game items into real world currency.

These sites have basically pieced together their operations in a two-part fashion. First, they are using the OpenID API as a way for users to prove ownership of their Steam accounts and items. Any other information they obtain about a user’s Steam account is either manually disclosed by the user or obtained from the user’s Steam Community profile (when the user has chosen to make their profile public). Second, they create automated Steam accounts that make the same web calls as individual Steam users.

Using the OpenID API and making the same web calls as Steam users to run a gambling business is not allowed by our API nor our user agreements. We are going to start sending notices to these sites requesting they cease operations through Steam, and further pursue the matter as necessary. Users should probably consider this information as they manage their in-game item inventory and trade activity.

Valve will soon be taking actions against the betting and gambling websites to improve the community which is moving towards gambling and betting. Since the community is full of youth’s and mainly aged between 15-27, it is important from valve’s point of view to put a stop to Gambling.

This action will also improve the professional gaming scene. As many of players are found betting against their own team and deliberately losing the game for the sake of winning the money attained from betting. This has always been an issue for the community and puts a bad reference to the viewers and newcomers. This action will also allow to decrease the amount of match fixing which have already been a thread to the competitive scene. Eventually, if valve decides to take an action against the current ongoing websites with regards to certain lawsuits. We can see a potential of gambling and betting websites to go down soon.

We here at Talkesport suggest people to withdraw their deposits from such websites as their deposits may be in danger.

Since Many of the websites have now stopped taking deposits and can go down soon. If the website goes down, Valve won’t be responsible for any of your losses since betting and gambling of Valve’s cosmetics are marked illegal by Valve.

Newbee are your Nanyang Dota 2 Champions

Nanyang Dota 2 Championships

Newbee are your Nanyang Dota 2 champions after defeating Wings Gaming in an amazing best of five grand finals.

Both Chinese teams ending up being in the grand finals is a wake up call for all the Western and American teams. Wings Gaming and Newbee are showing the potential to be a threat to all other teams participating at The International 6.

Game Analysis of the Grand Finals of Nanyang Dota 2 Championships.

Game 1

nanyang dota 2 championships - game 1

With a fresh mind and a goal to win the Nanyang dota 2 championships Wings gaming pulls off a pushing lineup Including DK and beastmaster with Necro’s healing power.

The basic goal of wings gaming here was to achieve a tier 3 push by minute 25 by securing their early game. Wings gaming even after securing first blood in the game, Terrorblade was able to get 3 kills on the safe lane which eventually allowed him to start fighting early and stick with the team as five. This allowed newbee to dodge the 5 man death ball push comming out from wings gaming and they were able to secure the game one in a long 52 mins run.

Game 2

nanyang dota 2 championships - game 2

This time things were a bit different from both the sides.

Team Newbee decides to get their hands on to a push lineup including Terrorblade – Dazzle lane and also a Death Prophet in the middle lane. With this 3 picks the push can be scary for any teams losing team fights. Wings Gaming here decides to grab a 4th pick Warlock which is actually forgotten in the meta and grabbing Luna as their last pick which completely surprised the Newbee line up with the damage amplifications by Shadow Demon and Elder Titan.

Game 3

nanyang dota 2 championships - game 3

This time newbee tries to adapt Wings Gaming’s line up by denying the picks and picking that heros insted namely – luna, Dk and Beastmaster as jungle position 4. The push lineup however didn’t work against shadows morphling who dominated the game with a score of 17/1/1 i.e a KDA of 18.

Game 4
Newbee are your Nanyang Dota 2 Champions

Wings Gaming was one step away from be crowned as the Nanyang Dota 2 Champions for Season 2 but newbee came out with an aggressive trio at  the bottom lane. With strong dual core line up of Naga Siren and Weaver, Newbee was able to pull out the game and go to the decider game 5.

Game 5

Newbee are your Nanyang Dota 2 Champions 2

The final game – One who wins takes it all.

This game had some questionable bans by Wings gaming such as viper and medusa.

Since the team decided to pick up Alchemist y would they not ban AA. Picking up 3 invisible heros and not banning up slardar was also a bit questionable from Wings Gaming Side. With a classic drow and huskar at the front line while io overpowering him. Newbee had the game in the bag in 36:19 minutes.

Many of the Western teams have withdrawn from the tournament due to some reasons but its now open that this year Chinese teams will be taking the things to the next level to claim the Agies of Championships at The International 6.
