Dota 2: Nigma defeat Fnatic at DreamLeague Leipzig Major

Team Nigma have been looking very good recently and their 2-0 clean sweep over Fnatic just solidifies the point. The Minor champions secured their spot at the upper brackets after two drawn out games against Fnatic at the Leipzig Major. This continues Nigma’s streak of dominating Asian teams. Earlier Nigma had also bested TNC Predators at the Major.

Game one looked heavily in favor of Fnatic. Fnatic did well to catch off priority targets throughout the game and hinder Nigma’s farming capabilities around the map. With a very farmed Medusa on their side Fnatic closed in on Nigma’s base. But, Amer “Miracle” -Al-Barkawi was there to save the day for Team Nigma on his signature Phantom Lancer. Miracle’s Phantom Lancer proved way too much to handle for Fnatic and they eventually lost their throne in the late game to Nigma. Miracle showed immense discipline making almost no mistakes and used his high mechanical skills to the fullest to carry Nigma.

Game two wasn’t as favorable for Fnatic from the start. With Miracle playing Slark on extreme aggression, the Fnatic draft started to crumble. Nuengnara โ€œ23savageโ€ Teeramahanon tried his best to catch up to the slippery fish rampaging across the map on his Phantom Lancer, but to no avail. Slark snowballed very hard in game 2 and allowed Nigma to run over Fnatic’s base and secure the game.

Thus, Team Nigma took the series 2-0 in their favor against Fnatic and managed to secure their spot in the upper brackets at the Major.

WePlay! Bukovel Minor is now the most-watched DPC Minor event

Dota 2 is on the decline in India with a reduction in esports events and disbanding of competitive teams although, the global scenario speaks differently. This year’s iteration of the WePlay! Bukovel Minor shattered all previous viewership records and now carries the swank of being named as the most-watched Minor event of the Dota Pro Circuit.

This success is owed to two vital aspects. An exemplary broadcast effort combined with cutting edge matches led to the average viewership count of 93,000. The Final match between Team Nigma and Royal Never Give up was a rousing matchup where Nigma showcased their exceptional skills and claimed the winner’s crown. According to Esports Charts, the viewership peaked at 233,000 viewers during the Grand Finals matchup.

WePlay! Esports General Manager Oleh Humeniuk, credited the team for this triumph and added:

We used new technologies and had no creative limits. Everyone who worked on the event loves esports, and judging by the results and feedback the viewers felt it.

The entire Dota 2 community relished the success of this Minor and credit is due for the commentators as well. Jorien โ€œSheeverโ€ van der Heijden, Austin โ€œCapitalistโ€ Walsh and Toby โ€œTobiWanโ€ Dawson did a spectacular job and also participated in the show match adding a cherry on top of the cake.

WePlay! Bukovel Minor dethroned Dreamleague Season 10 with a whopping total of 5 million hours watched across all platforms. This amazing statistic proves that regardless of the nature of the event, a solid effort from the organizing team and inimitable professionalism paves a straight road to success.

Tencent warns players regarding unauthorized purchase services

0

Well, most of the PUBG Mobile players reading this would have surely come across widespread unauthorized purchase services available on social media sites like Facebook and majorly on Instagram. Tencent began the year by issuing a fair warning regarding these services.

When PUBG Mobile was garnering the attention of every mobile gamer at a slow and steady pace, a lot of people saw this as a great opportunity to reap the benefits by starting game-related services. A few of those include online tournament hostings, Purchase of in-game currency via a third party seller and unauthorized purchase of skins. The most popular place where we can see this happen is on Instagram where millions of pages render such unauthorized services to players. Tencent has finally addressed by issue by stating that they are not responsible for any disputes and strongly promote the use of verified ways to do these purchases.

In an official release, Tencent wrote that “Purchasing through unauthorized service is in direct violation of the PUBG MOBILE user agreement, and may result in loss of all illegal purchases and/or account ban, depending on severity. Please use verified purchase methods to avoid these issues.“

They even added that unauthorized services are more likely to take undue advantage of players resulting in problems like loss of account, loss of UC after purchase as well as the illegal use of bank cards. Gamers often tend to spend big bucks on in-game purchases to buy their favourite skins, certain other cosmetic items as well as reward boosters but the best way to do it is via the verified options provided by the game’s developers and not third party apps which run unauthorized services.

The message is quite simple, if you run into some transactional issue while using the game’s official and verified purchase option, your problem will surely be addressed and resolved, but the same cannot be guaranteed for any purchase services outside the game.
