KRAFTON launches September version update to Battlegrounds Mobile India

Recently, Krafton, the South Korean video game developer of the world-famous Battlegrounds Mobile India announced the launch of the new update into the game. The new update has brought some major changes in the UI of the game along with the introduction of a new mode in three maps. The version 1.6 update will be rolling out on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store with the introduction of Flora Menace, as special features.

A new mode “Flora Menace” has been added to BATTLEGROUNDS, bringing in interesting possibilities. In Flora Menace Mode, a life barrier is created in some part of the map that is encroached by alien creatures. In the wall, players’ HP gradually recovers. Players can loot “Nacore” in the mode and use the item to buy battle items.  The mode is available in Classic Theme Modes and starting from Erangel, it will be added to Sanhok and Livik.

Players can enjoy Cell-Matrix content exclusively in Erangel “Flora Menace,”. The Cell Matrix is an airship floating in the air and players can ride it using Cells that can be found on the map. In Cell-Matrix, players have three chances to revive themselves and get to fight with randomly provided weapons. They can acquire Nacore by eliminating enemies or robots infected by an alien creature in the airship.

The new update also includes the recording option, allowing players to record their gameplay and showcase their clips on social media platforms. Besides this, The latest update will pack a lot of surprises later in the month as EvoGround will feature the popular Zombie mode “Survive Till Dawn” where the last surviving player in the zombie attack gets the final victory.

With the 1.6.0 update, the developer aims at providing an overall improved battle-feel to the players with features like Improved camera vibration effect on grenade detonation, configurable headshot sound adjustments, dynamic scope adjustment options.

Often overlooked in ‘NA’ regions — the best Canadian esports players

0

Esports is one of the fastest-growing participation events in the world. Over the last decade, it has grown from a relatively small grassroots scene into an industry that brings in millions every year. The sponsorship for esports has resulted in prize money and revenue growing at a rapid rate, especially in the last five years as it has started to gain more traction.

As such, the top players are beginning to become minor celebrities in their own right. As is often the case, players from the USA are normally seen as the big players in the industry, however, there are plenty of top-class Canadian and Canadian-based players. Take a look at some of the top Canadian players on the market.

Arteezy

At just 23 years old, Arteezy is a player for Evil Geniuses. He was initially at school in Vancouver, but the pro gaming world took his fancy and he has stuck with it. Although a lot of pro gamers move towards online gambling, with this online casino in Canada offering a lot of high-quality blackjack play, Arteezy chose regular video games. Of course, Arteezy is old enough to make the move to playing slots online now, so don’t be shocked if you see it on his Twitch stream from time to time.

Arteezy is an extremely popular streamer on Twitch, with almost 700,000 followers at the time of writing. He mainly plays Dota 2 and has earned over $2m during his career.

NAF

NAF is another Vancouver-based player, his handle is an acronym for something that can’t be repeated in polite company, which is surprising for a player who is relatively sensible in the risk-taking stakes. His normal game of choice is CS:GO and he currently plays with Team Liquid. However, in the past, he has played with a number of other teams, including Luminosity and Renegades.

AUI_2000

AUI is another Dota 2 player, who’s mainly based in British Columbia. He was formerly with Evil Geniuses but was actually removed to make space for Arteezy. Since then, he has played for a number of different teams, including another stint at Evil Geniuses before being kicked out again, before settling in at CR4ZY.

He’s earned around $2m during his esports career, so he’s certainly enjoyed a lot of success. AUI_2000 was originally studying sociology but decided that a career playing Dota 2 full-time was more appealing. It’s obviously worked out and looks like it was a very good decision.

WildTurtle

Jason ‘WildTurtle’ Tran is a professional League of Legends player who has been a staple of the North American League Championship Series (LCS) since 2013 when he exploded onto the scene with TSM. Playing in the bot lane position, his career has spanned three organizations, and he has built a reputation for a high-risk, high-reward playstyle, as well as a strong personal brand thanks to his enthusiasm and friendly demeanor.

With four LCS titles under his belt and five playoff finals, in addition, he is one of the most accomplished North American players in the professional League. He currently plays for Counter Logic Gaming, with his fellow Canadian Andy ‘Smoothie’ Ta alongside him in the support position.

MoonMeander

MoonMeander plays Dota 2 for CR4ZY. Although Dota 2 wasn’t his original game of choice, he has managed to fit into the higher stakes and faster-paced world of the game without any problems. MoonMeander is based in Vancouver, meaning he’s quite close to a number of other big-name players in the Canadian world.

MoonMeander is known for adding some spice to his streams by taking some time out to have a dance or even drop down and throw out some pushups. If he doesn’t maintain his position in the competitive gaming world, it’s safe to say that his streams will still draw plenty of interest due to how entertaining they are.

Twistzz

Twistzz is known for being outspoken on his streams. After telling another player exactly what he felt they should do during a game of CS:GO, Twistzz shot into the world with plenty of notoriety. Even though he’s only 20, he’s still known as one of the top CS:GO players in the world.

The world is Twistzz’s oyster at the moment. There is certainly a lot of potential for the British Columbia native to make something big for himself. As part of Team Liquid, he could achieve legendary status before his 25th birthday.

How to bet on FIFA esports – a quick guide

0

Esports is a natural progression in a world that loves sports and computer games. Combining the two pursuits, it’s one of the fastest-growing industries in the world and pits the best gamers against each other in an exciting live setting.

One of the most popular games for fans to watch is FIFA, the world’s best-selling football video game. Tournaments such as the FIFA eWorld Cup are much anticipated events, with live studio audiences and big prizes for the winners.

It’s no surprise, then, that a betting market has appeared dedicated to these occasions, and this guide will show you what FIFA eSports bets you can make and how you can place them.

Best FIFA markets

If you’re familiar with normal sports betting markets, then eSports betting will hold no fear for you. Even newbies will find it easy to find something to place their money on.

The most common are the match bets, where you bet on the win, draw, or loss of a certain game, or tournament bets where you predict the outright winner of the entire tournament. Tournament bets are great for spotting those ‘dark horses’, quality players who have flown under the radar and are at longer odds than they should be.

Some bets appeal to punters because of their positive nature, such as   the ‘total goals’ bet, where you predict the number of goals in a game and celebrate each time a goal is scored. A related bet is ‘Over x goals’, which keeps the bet alive throughout the game: this is never really a loser until the final whistle blows, as there’s always a chance of a last-gasp goal or two to bring your win in.

One last bet that people often miss is the ‘handicap bet’, where an imaginary ‘weight’ is given to the result. If you’re convinced that a heavy favourite is going to win, you can boost the odds by placing a handicap of say –1.5 goals, meaning they have win by two or more goals for you to get your money.

The more the eSports betting scene grows, the wider the variety of bets gets. There are sometimes hundreds to choose from, so take your time when checking out the markets!

How to make the best betting decisions

When betting on live events, it’s easy to get caught up in the emotion of it all, especially when you’re placing the bet moments before the start. It’s crucial, therefore, to take your time and not to rush into decisions.

Often, players bet on their favourite football team to win, rather than the player who’s controlling them, something that is irrational and not based on logic. Doing research into the player’s record, then, is important, and there are often a variety of stats to help you.

When you begin betting, always start low. As a good safe gambling guide would say, you should only bet with money you can afford to lose. If you blow most of your budget first time around, then you’ll more likely to want to recuperate it and you’ll probably gamble more money than you expected.

Another important rule is to not just settle with the odds one bookmaker gives you. Make sure to cross-reference them with at least one other betting site to make sure you’re getting a fair deal.

Finally, remember that gambling is not a way to make money. Serial gamblers tend to view their bets as a side income, but this is an unhealthy attitude that puts more pressure on you to win the bet. Having a set amount to bet before you start – always an amount you can afford – and not deviating from this means that you’re keeping your betting firmly within the realms of entertainment. It will also mean you’re not devastated should a bet not come through.

Live betting

Many bookmakers offer live eSports betting for FIFA, a feature that adds the thrill of changing real-time odds to the equation.

With this, you need to be particularly in tune with odds changes and whether they represent a good deal or not. Although betting sites follow algorithms to ensure they nearly always get the best deal, there are one or two gems that slip through the net.

Like with any type of betting, it’s imperative to keep a cool head and an open mind when staking money during games. It’s easy to lose money if you get caught up in the moment!

Where you can place your bet

The growing popularity of eSports means more betting sites than ever devote a section to it.

To choose the best one, take the following factors into account:

Esports bonuses – sites compete for custom by offering extras to new players, so keep an eye out for free bets and similar promotions when looking through potential options.

Customer service – each site should have online reviews: steer clear of those that have garnered a high number of complaints.

Variety of eSports markets – don’t pigeonhole yourself into one or two markets: go for those bookies who offer a wide range of betting options.

So, there you have it, your quick guide to FIFA eSports betting. Remember, knowledge and a cool head are the two best tools to have at your disposal, by using both you’re more likely to make the best betting decisions. Good luck!

GUIDE: Beginners Lesson for Betting on Esports

0

Esports has grown massively over the past decade and continues to develop as one of the leading forms of entertainment for both players and fans. There was even talk of Esports is one of the events at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which would have been fantastic and there is still a possibility it could happen in the future.

As with any popular competitive event, betting becomes an exciting additional element and that is definitely the case with Esports. In the beginning, you would have found it tough to find a good selection of Esports betting markets online but now, the majority of the major online bookmakers offer Esports odds on a daily basis. However, for many punters, Esports is something new, and below you will find a beginner’s guide for betting on Esports.

As with any form of online betting, you should always choose a reliable bookie when betting on Esports. As mentioned above, all the major online betting brands now offer Esports betting markets, so you should have little trouble finding a licensed and regulated online bookmaker. If you are unsure where to start, check out Bettinglounge.co.uk where you will find reviews of all the leading online bookmakers, many of which offer Esports odds.

When betting on Esports for the first time, the best place to begin is by betting on games you already know. For example, if you enjoy playing Call of Duty, you already understand the game and you can use that knowledge when betting. Even better, if you have been watching professional Esports events involving your favorite games, you may already know some of the top players and can use your own insight when placing bets.

If you do not know anything about the professional Esports scene, you can find plenty of advice and tips online. There are several websites dedicated to Esports and they offer detailed previews of events and matches. Use this information when getting started and build up your own Esports knowledge in the process.

In addition to having a knowledge of professional Esports games and players, you must also understand the different betting markets. Esports betting markets do not always match those of other sports. For example, you bet on the overall outcome of the match, but other markets will include map and rounds betting, with handicap betting also an option. Method of victory, first kill, and total kills are other Esports markets, and these are often available in-play. You should never place a bet on Esports without knowing what each of the different markets means.

As a beginner, do not expect to make big profits when betting on Esports. You are advised to begin betting using smaller amounts until you become accustomed to how it works, and your knowledge improves. The most important thing to remember is to have fun. Enjoy watching the big events, look to see which teams and players are doing well and use that information to place informed Esports bets.

Streaming and its symbiotic relationship with esports

0

The relationship between online gaming and the communities which form around the games is, arguably, somewhat symbiotic. At one point in their history, game development companies would produce games, and communities and fans would respond — typically positively.

However, now that relationship is much less linear and “top-down”. Game developers are now much more engaged with what fans and gaming communities are saying, feeling and thinking. They have their “ears to the ground” so to speak, and game development companies will respond to the concerns of fans and community members.

The rise of streaming

One of the places where communities are built and fans come together to engage with one another and discuss the ins and outs of the gaming world is on streaming platforms such as Twitch. On these platforms, individuals will play games while streaming to their fans, chatting with them and collecting small fees or financial gifts.

Streaming has become so incredibly popular that many streamers do not even play games while streaming, but instead just talk with their fans. Some politicians have even started to utilize the platform to connect with younger voters.

Streaming has steadily grown in popularity over the course of the last eight or nine years, but it greatly increased in popularity during the global health crisis of the last year and a half. At that time, many millions of people around the world were isolated, feeling lonely and looking for a way to socially engage with people who shared similar interests. Streaming platforms offered an easy, free way for people from around the globe to connect with those who had similar gaming interests.

Esports and streaming

Esports holds an arguably somewhat niche position in the streaming industry. When it comes to esports, individuals associated with the industry are either esports athletes or they are spectators. This is different from other gaming communities in that most individuals associated with esports will be spectators rather than players — this is due to the level of skill and training required in order to play in esports leagues.

As a result of the esports community mostly consisting of spectators, it is an ideal niche for streaming platforms as it has such a large number of spectators. Depending on the game and the streaming platform, spectators may be able to purchase avatars which they display, similar to jerseys at sports matches.

One of the most interesting aspects of the relationship between esports and livestreaming is that many esports players are now transitioning to careers which are more focused on livestreaming — and not streaming esports. Individuals, such as Ninja, who started out in esports and are now transitioning to be streamers who do not focus on one particular sport or game, but instead direct their energy towards developing a streaming audience.

On top of that, there is the possibility that as the world becomes more open and accessible, that in-person esports events and tournaments will become much more popular than their livestreamed counterparts.

New innovation in the streaming and esports industries

Along with the growing popularity of the online gaming and streaming industry, there is also likely to be a continued push for technological innovation in the industry. Game developers are constantly trying to push the innovative envelope, as we have seen with some of the most well-developed games on the market this year — along with new gaming consoles like the PS5.

One technology which is likely to become increasingly popular is Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). AR and VR technology and innovation is now starting to take massive leaps in terms of gameplay, real feel and usability. It is likely that the next esports and streaming trends will revolve around AR and VR experiences and games.

Many gamers are also looking forward to other forms of gaming innovation such as the quick casinos offered in Finland on sites such as the casino comparison site Suomennetticasino.com, which allow users to find casinos where you can play games and place bets, without first registering for an account. These may seem like small or relatively minor technological innovations, but they are sure to have a large impact on the industry.

Looking to the future

The future certainly looks bright for both esports and the streaming industry. While the global health crisis which rocked the world over the last year and a half has become increasingly manageable in the Global North, the popularity of both esports and streaming is likely to remain.

Millions of people have tried watching esports, accessing online gaming platforms for the first time during the global health crisis who otherwise would not have. Now that they have given these new platforms a try, many of them are likely to continue using the platforms and applications.
