Dota 2: Valve reveals The International 10 groups

The 10th iteration of the “The International” will return to the European zone in Bucharest, Romania after a span of 11 years with Germany being the last venue to ever have hosted an International in 2011. Known as the “TI”, the latter had been an annual event until it was called off in 2020 amid the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic which forced every Esports initiative to transition to an online format.

We are roughly 12 hours away from the Group Stage of the Ti10 to commence with Dota2 having revealed the Groups earlier today on their blog website. The list of Eighteen teams have been divided into two groups, A and B, as each of them would battle out in a round-robin format. Twitch data, including streamer revenue, passwords, and more, leaks online

0

The popular streaming service, Twitch was the victim of a data breach that was leaked on 4chan. Reddit and Twitter users who went through the leaked torrent found confidential data from August 2019 to October 2021, including streamer revenue, passwords, source code for the Twitch website and apps, SDKs, and other Amazon services.

What’s interesting here is that Amazon was supposedly working on an “unreleased Steam competitor” called Vapor, and another related project, “Vapeworld”.

Multiple streamers have now confirmed the leak, stating that most data, including the payouts, are almost entirely accurate. While Twitch has also acknowledged it, stating that they “are working with urgency to understand the extent of this.”

The leaker claims that the 125GB leak is just “part one”, and suggests that more data is expected to leak sometime in the future.

With this data breach, all Twitch users are encouraged to take caution and change their passwords and enable 2FA to secure their accounts.

NICKMERCS extend Twitch contract

0

FaZe Clan co-owner NICKMERCS has announced a contract extension with Twitch amidst rumors suggesting a move to YouTube like many fellow streamers.

Rumors of NICK moving to YouTube were sparked by many of his fellow streamers following the footstep after striking a lucrative deal with Google’s streaming platform; putting an end to all of them, NICKMERCS will continue to entertain his fans on Twitch.

Having joined the platform back in 2010, he has grown into one of the biggest streamers on the platform. He reached greater heights with FaZe Clan’s co-ownership and as the first gamer-athlete signed by Under Armour.

With over 15 Million followers and 50K Subscribers, NICKMERCS has a stable and healthy viewer base on Twitch. With his concurrent viewership numbers just as good, there is no reason for him to shift to another platform even though many of his compatriots feel differently.

Valorant: RGX 11Z PRO Skin bundle leaked

0

Valorant, Riot’s FPS, has been a resounding success since its release in 2020, thanks to its unique blend of tactical shooting mechanics and ability-based gameplay along with a wide selection of incredible-looking cosmetics that entice the player-base to grind the game out.

Dataminers on Twitter have managed to dig up the upcoming Valorant skin bundle ahead of its actual release, and fans are excited to know more about what skins the RGX 11Z PRO Bundle will offer. This new skin collection will feature four weapons along with a Katana-themed knife, the likes everyone had been waiting for a long time now.

The RGX 11Z PRO Bundle will have the following weapons alongside a Katana-themed Melee knife.

  • Frenzy
  • Guardian
  • Stinger
  • Vandal
  • Melee Knife

Unlike before, these weapons will have five variant upgrades including a Kill tracker. This will be the first time Riot Games would implement a technology that would record your kills on your equipped weapon. Although no information about the same has been further shared about the Kill tracker upgrade, ValorLeaks have suggested that the former won’t be keeping a lifetime record of your frags and would vary every single map. The four variants would include colors Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow. Another perk of getting this bundle would be, every time you inspect a weapon, the color gradient would change accordingly.

The RGX 11Z PRO skin Bundle comes at a cost of 8700 Valorant Points.

The RGX 11Z PRO skin Bundle will soon replace the Valorant GO! Vol 2 Bundle on the market. The bundle was further shown in action by LuxXz on his YouTube channel.

VCT North America LCQ: ORDER, Chiefs Esports Club withdraw

0

The event has now been cut short to a total of eight teams who will engage to grab the lone spot towards the VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) Champions event,  to be held late this year in Berlin.

Ahead of the forthcoming Last Chance Qualifier tournament of VCT in North America, teams, ORDER and Chiefs Esports Club have withdrawn from the said tournament citing travel restrictions imposed by the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic. Both the teams had previously posted on their Twitter handle, headlining the same as they looked forward to represent the Oceanic region at a major LAN event, and cherish an opportunity to get under a spotlight for potential scouting.

In addition to the above events, Valorant Champions Tour further commented as the latter too failed to accommodate both the teams in Los Angeles and figure them a seamless travel plan in and out of North America.

The committee has now decided to shorten the tournament format down to eight teams, who would compete at the North American Last Chance Qualifier, the final passage towards the Valorant Champions event. Riot has agreed to compensate both the teams for their unassailable attempts to make it through which they were denied by the impending doom cursed by the global health situation.

The community will get a much clearer image in the next couple of days regarding the revamped format and structure, now that the tournament has been reduced to eight teams.

It indeed came as a surprise that Riot decided to have eight teams play for the final spot and not increment the immediate teams who were below the required circuit points threshold.
