New CSGO Dreams And Nightmares Case Skins Revealed – Here are the Winning Entries

The first million-dollar art contest of CSGO has come to an end, and the winning entries of the ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ contest have been revealed by Valve today.

The contest received an overwhelming amount of response from the CSGO community, and as a result the number of winners were increased to 17. 

“The CS:GO team reviewed the amazing work from artists and teams from all parts of the globe, and decided that ten winners wouldn’t be enough,” Valve stated in a blog post. “So, an additional seven winning submissions were selected (17 winning entries total) for a grand total prize pool of $1.7 million.”

Valve has also confirmed that 14 out of the 24 participating artists were first-time contributors to the Steam workshop. This speaks volumes regarding the increasing popularity of CSGO and community creations involving the shooter across the globe. 

CSGO Dreams and Nightmares Case

The winning entries in the contest will be introduced to CSGO through the highly anticipated ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ case, the release date of which is still uncertain. 

Here are all the winning entries of the Dreams and Nightmares contest. Expect to see these amazing skins being added to CSGO in the near future.

Nabil ‘Nivera’ Benrlitom has announced that we will be joining Team Liquid’s VALORANT team. This takes Nabil and his brother Adil ‘ScreaM’ Benrlitom, from brothers to teammates, strengthening their bond more than ever before. ScreanM has been a part of the organization since his starting foray into the VALORANT esports scene. Both Nabil and Adil come from a Counter-Strike background but have now fully moved into Riot’s tactical FPS.

VALORANT is a free-to-play first-person hero shooter that is developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows. The game began a closed beta testing period with limited access in April 2020, followed by an official release in June of that same year.

VALORANT’s popularity is constantly on the increase, and it has taken the world of esports by storm, currently having around 14 million monthly players and its current peak for players online was 3 million at one go. In fact, esports betting in general is constantly on the rise at some of the best online casinos in USA with companies like Tencent Holdings and Take-Two Interactive offering some of the best competitive odds.  

Nivera is famous for being the ‘first’ player to compete as a sixth man for Vitality, being part of several championship winning roasters. When Nivera was in his free agency era, there were rumours about him switching to VALORANT with Team Liquid being his obvious choice. 

The transfer came only a few hours after the team also announced that James ‘Kryptix’ Affleck would be taking a pause from competition due to personal reasons. However, as until now, ‘Kryptix’ is still signed with Team Liquid and could come back any day with VALORANT. 

Team Liquid shone bright at Masters Reykjavik, however, they failed to qualify for Masters Berlin. The team will now compete in the Last Chance Qualifier in order to make it to the VCT Challengers. This means that Nivera, and the team, have only a few short weeks to adjust to their new structure before competing for their season. 

Nivera’s appearance into VALORANT has been long-awaited by fans and his debut in the EMEA LCQ is highly anticipated.

PUBG Mobile Esports biggest event of the year is starting soon, it will act as the final event of the 2021 PUBG Mobile competitive season. A total of 40 teams will be competing for a massive prize pool of $6M USD and the champions title. The event will be played in three-phase starting with the League stage, League finals, and Grand Finals. The first two phases will be played in the East and West regions. From which the top teams will seed to the PMGC 2021 grand finals.

PMGC 2021 East League stage will feature a prize pool of $735,000 USD. The prize pool will be distributed among all the 20 teams participating in PMGC 2021 East. The top 6 teams will qualify for the grand finals.

Free Fire has emerged out to become the best ‘Esports Mobile Game of the Year’ for the second consecutive year at Esports Awards. This game developed by Garena is one of the biggest mobile battle royale titles with a massive player base.

Garena Free Fire recently picked up pace in the past couple of years to skyrocket as one of the most prominent games in the market. This game is somewhat different than other battle royale titles and has inclusion of things like active and passive skills which adds a layer of uniqueness to it. This has attracted a large population towards the game.

The active player number ranges in millions and subsequently, its esports rose in popularity as well. The competition was less fierce at the start but the difficult has increased exponentially and the tournaments have scaled likewise.

The numbers allied with Free Fire are very extraordinary with each tournament bagging millions of concurrent viewers. This is a testimony to its popularity. Esports Awards has hosted multiple games in this category but none of them has been able to snatch away the title from Free Fire for two years straight.

Battlefield 2042 is one of the worst-rated games on Steam

Battlefield 2042, which was officially released just three days ago on November 19, has somehow managed to become one of the worst-reviewed Battlefield titles on Valve’s digital storefront, Steam despite releasing a month after its original release date.

According to Steam, Battlefield 2042 currently has 37,000+ reviews, out of which only 26% of the reviews are positive (11,259) while the rest of the reviews are full of complaints about the game’s rough launch. 

Its blatantly clear that a one month delay simply wasn’t enough for DICE to polish the game as one Steam user lists down several issues and missing features from the game, basic and essential features that were present in previous Battlefield titles such as VOIP, player scoreboards, Deathmatch modes, and a server browser. While another user says  “Give this game 2 years to fix itself but by then you’d already forgotten this game existed and would have spent money on something actually deserving of your time.”

Although EA has released a Day 1 patch that addressed several issues including Rubber banging, stuttering, and several other bugs that plagued the game’s Hazard Zone & Portal modes and several planned updates are in the works which will focus on fixing Soldier Revives, UAV-1 & Vehicle Balancing, and Missing Loadouts.

“It’s been great welcoming you all back onto the Battlefield throughout our Early Access launch,” EA tweeted, “These changes, and more, are presently scheduled for deploy at the end of next week.”

Starting Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in your local time zone, the regular Community Day perks, such as higher spawn and Shiny rate, will be active.

How To Maximize Your Shinx Community Day

Shinx Community Day offers a hatch distance bonus, which means that any eggs placed in Incubators during the event will hatch in 25% of the time it would normally take. As it’s the last regular Community Day of the year, Shinx Community Day also comes with additional benefits.

Candy received from transferring Pokémon will be tripled, and you’ll have a better chance of earning XL Candy. Further, three free Raid Passes will be handed to players from the spinning gyms. It will also cost 25% less Stardust to trade Pokémon between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. in your local time.

How To Find a Shiny Shinx?

The players will be able to find Shiny Shinx much easier this time around. Community Day has increased the Shiny rate for the featured Pokemon. Players can also avoid grinding all day for the Shiny Shinx and simply pop an Incense and tap each Shinx that comes up. According to The Silph Road’s research, the Shiny rate during Community Days is around 1 in 25, which is not bad compared to the regular days.

Community Day Moves for Shinx’s Evolution – Luxray

Shiny Shinx evolves ultimately to Luxray and can be evolved anywhere between 11 AM till 7 PM in players’ local time on November 21st. The Shinx evolution will be able to learn Psychic Fangs, a psychic-type move.

League Of Legends Worlds Final Draws 73.8 Million Peak Concurrent Viewers

Riot reports that the 2021 League Of Legends Worlds Championship Finale broke all the past records and had 73.8 million peak concurrent viewers and an average minute audience of 30.6 million worldwide, including Chinese streaming services.

According to a statement by Riot Games and Stream Hatchet, a live streaming analytics organization, the five-game finale between DWG KIA and Edward Gaming had 73,860,742 peak concurrent viewers. Even without the Chinese viewership, the finale peaked at 4 million concurrent viewers, the most of any LoL match in history without Chinese viewership.

The Worlds 2021 brought a 60.33% increase in peak concurrent viewers over 2020 and dwarfed 2020’s year-over-year growth improvement of 4.7% in peak concurrent viewers, according to Riot Games and Stream Hatchet. Viewership grew by nearly 28 million peak concurrents year-over-year, even with other Chinese teams involved in the action in each of the previous three Worlds finals. In 2020, the finale between Suning Gaming and DWG KIA (known as Damwon Gaming) drew 46,067,896 concurrents viewers. Team DWG KIA won the game with a comfortable 3-1 score over Suning Gaming.

The Worlds 2021 saw the repeat of rivalry between South Korean Vs Chinese teams. This time a victory in favor of the South Korean team — DWG KIA, would have made them the second team to win back-to-back Worlds titles. But alas the Chinese team, Edward Gaming took the series 3-2 over the DWG KIA.

Riot Games along with John Needham, President of Esports, and Naz Aletaha, Global Head of League of Legends Esports, announced these stats at a press conference at the Chase Center in San Fransisco ahead of an NBA matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Da Kun Gaming wins Wild Rift: Horizon Cup

Wild Rift’s first-ever international tournament ‘Horizon Cup’ featuring the 10 teams from all regions ended with Da Kun Gaming emerging as the champions. DKG defeated the Chinese squad, ThunderTalk Gaming with a 4-2 score. Horizon Cup featured a massive prize pool of $500,000 USD which took place at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Group stage was played between November 13th – 17th, 2021 where the 10 teams were split into two groups of five teams. Da Kun Gaming and Thundertalk Gaming topped their respective groups and directly qualified for the semi-finals. Teams finishing at the second and third positions competed in the quarter-finals of the knockout stage.

Team Secret defeated SBTC Esports and KT Rolster defeated Sengoku Gaming to qualify for the semi-finals. DKG and Thundertalk Gaming won their semi-final matches.

The grand finals were a best of 7 matches where DKG took the first two rounds, Thundertalk Gaming came back strong with a 2-2 equalizer. The next two games were won by DKG which sealed their names on the trophy.
