Where Can You Find a Snowball Launcher in Fortnite?

0

If you are a regular player of Fortnite and you’re still unable to find the snowball launcher, then this article is for you. We will tell you the exact location of where you can find the snowball launcher in Fortnite Chapter 3.

It has been almost two weeks since the release of the third chapter in Fortnite, and many players are still confused with the location. Gamers are now eligible to open exciting gifts every day from the Cozy Lodge, including skins, gliders, emotes, and more items.

There are also several challenges you can complete every day that will help you increase your XP points in the game. Each day, one new challenge is introduced in the game, which releases approximately at 9 AM ET. Players can avail themselves up to one back bling and glider after completing every seven to ten challenges.

With the release of the new Winterfest Challenge, players are now excited to hold the grip of the Snowball Launcher, which can do real damage to the opponents. So, without wasting any more time, let’s find out the exact location of the Snowball Launcher.

Where To Find The Snowball Launcher?

Right now, players must be wondering about the exact location of the snowball launcher so that they can start the game and head right into the spot. But unfortunately, there is no exact location set by the creators of the game where you can spot the Snowball Launcher.

However, if you search correctly, you can find one Snowball Launcher in the chests, and so far, it is the best-known location where most of the gamers have spotted that item. Therefore, it is suggested to land on a site where you can find many chests, and out of those, you must find at least one Snowball Launcher.

Why Is The Snowball Launcher So Special?

Many global gamers also report that the spawn rate in this challenge is quite low as compared to other challenges released by Epic Games. But once you hold the grip of the Snowball Launcher, it becomes pretty easy to complete the challenge as the weapon is quite powerful and causes much damage to the opponent.

That was all you needed to know about the location of Snowball Launcher in Fortnite Chapter 3. Follow TalkEsport for more amazing Fortnite guides.

Valorant to add Friendly Fire Penalty to Deal with Griefers in New Patch

0

Valorant, much like any other First Person Shooter, includes Griefers and toxic players who play just to ruin other people’s games. This is primarily seen in FPS games where players damage their opponents with guns and/or utilities.

Valorant has already found ways to deal with Smurf accounts by banning them, as well as monitoring Voice comms so players don’t have to deal with abuse and toxic teammates. According to ValorLeaks, an account dedicated solely to Valorant leaks and info, friendly fire will not go unpunished from here on out and there will be penalties for doing team damage.

As of now, no guns or projectiles can do damage to teammates in Valorant. But utilities such as Brimstone’s molotov, Killjoy and Raze’s grenades, and others like Phoenix’s hot hands can do damage to teammates as well. These are usually used to take map control but some players throw these specifically at teammates to damage and eventually kill them.

This can continue for the whole game without any consequences, so Riot has decided to issue a penalty to players who cause friendly fire.

What will be the friendly fire penalties in Valorant?

Valorant might be taking a page out of CSGO’s book, the best FPS shooter, and issue a cooldown or an account suspension to players who damage teammates. In CSGO players receive temporary bans for doing damage to their teammates constantly.

It is currently unknown just how long the penalties will be but it is safe to say that causing team damage and friendly fire will no longer go unpunished in Valorant. It must be carefully monitored as sometimes teammates can damage each other by accident without any ill intentions and they must not be punished for that.

CSGO Might Finally Move to Source 2, According to New Leaks

In the past, we have seen several rumors and leaks suggesting that Valve is working on a potential port of CSGO to the Source 2 engine. However, even after a year since the rumors initially surfaced, the title hasn’t been ported to the new engine yet.

The port of the competitive shooter to the upgraded engine would mean drastic visual improvements to the title alongside other aspects. In fact, a fan-made port of Dust 2 in Source 2 engine shows how gorgeous it can potentially look.

Recently, Twitter user ‘Gabe Follower’ has once again come up with new leaks that suggest the Source 2 upgrade being just around the corner. In a Tweet posted on December 15th, he explains that a “csgo” mention has been added to Source 2 Workshop Manager, which likely means that the port is well in the works.

For the unaware, “Workshop Manager” is a tool for publishing mods to the workshop, which was previously only available for Dota 2, Steam Tours and Half-Life: Alyx.

Unfortunately, no release date for the much-anticipated Source 2 port for CSGO has been set in stone as of yet. The developers behind the shooter haven’t confirmed the port, nor have they revealed a specific date for its release.

Currently, fans are left with no other way than to wait eagerly for the Source 2 port to arrive. However, a good portion of the CSGO community seems to be certain that the CSGO Source 2 port will come sooner or later.

Indian Govt. issues online gaming guidelines for parents and teachers

0

The popularity of the gaming industry is steadily rising and India is at the forefront of this rise. Video games are trending for the past few years and since the pandemic, the growth has been exponential.

There is a large community of gamers in India and looking at some of the adverse effects, the government has issued online gaming guidelines for parents and teachers.

Due to the tremendous rise in popularity, the Indian government has reportedly issued guidelines for online gaming. Parents and teachers should follow them to promote healthy gaming practices.

Mobile gaming is more popular in India and because of its accessibility, there is a huge number of mobile gamers in the country. These games have also been criticized to cause addiction and induce violence in several instances.

Here are the do’s and don’ts’ as advised by the Indian Union Government.

Do’s:

  • While playing online games, if something wrong happened, stop immediately and take a screenshot (using the ‘print screen’ button on the keyboard) and report it.
  • Help your child to protect their privacy online, get them to use a screen name (avatar) that does not reveal their real name.
  • Use antivirus/spyware programs and configure web browsers securely using a firewall.
  • Activate parental controls and safety features on the device or in the app or browser as it helps restrict access to certain content and limit spending on in-game purchases.
  • Notify if a stranger tries to start a conversation about something inappropriate or requests personal information.
  • Check the age rating of any games your child is playing.
  • In case of bullying, encourage people not to respond and keep a record of the harassing messages and report the behaviour to the game site administrator/block, mute or ‘unfriend’ that person from their player’s list, or turn off the in-game chat function.
  • Play alongside your child to get a better sense of how they are handling their personal information and who they are communicating with.
  • Help your child understand that some features in online games are used to encourage more play and spending.
  • Talk to them about gambling, what it is and its consequences both online and in the physical world.
  • Always ensure that your child accesses internet from a computer placed in the family space.

Don’ts:

  • Do not allow in-game purchases without parental consent. To avoid in app purchases; OTP based payment methods may be adopted as per RBI’s guidelines.
  • Avoid credit/debit cards registration on apps for subscriptions. Place an upper limit on expenditure per transaction.
  • Do not let children buy directly from the laptop or mobile they use for gaming.
  • Advise children not to download software and games from unknown websites.
  • Tell them to be beware of clicking links, images and pop-ups in the websites as they may contain a virus and harm the computer, and may contain age-inappropriate content.
  • Advise them not to give personal information over the Internet while downloading games.
  • They should never share personal information with people in games and on gaming profile.
  • Advise them not to communicate with strangers, including adults, through web cam, private messaging or online chat, as it increases the risk of contact from online abusers, or bullying from other players.
  • Advise them against engaging in game for long hours without taking a break considering health aspects and addiction.

Parents and mentors should be vigilant and keep an eye on their wards. Here are some additional guidelines:

  • Keep an eye on unusually secretive behaviour, mostly related to their online activity
  • A sudden increase in the time they spend online, especially social media
  • They seem to change screens on their devices when approached
  • They become withdrawn or angry after using the internet or sending text messages.
  • Their device suddenly has many new phone numbers ·and email contacts.
  • Install an internet gateway at home that has features like monitoring, logging, and controlling the types of content that children can access.
  • Teachers need to keep an eye on falling grades and the social behaviour of the students.
  • If teachers observe something that may seem suspicious or alarming, they should inform the school authorities immediately.
  • Teachers should ensure that children are sensitized about the pros and cons of the internet from time to time.
  • Teachers should train students for the secure configuration of web browsers and web applications.

The Union Government, in a bid to promote the digital era and the new age of the Internet, is drafting these policies lately. The rise of gaming and esports in India has been huge and over 100 million youth of India are actively playing multi-player games.

Valorant Pro Pyth Leaves G2 to Join Bleed esports

0

Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi will be joining Bleed esports effective immediately. He has been a free agent since November 2021, after being released from his G2 esports contract.

He joined G2 in June 2020, after retiring from CSGO, when the org forayed into flashy new FPS Valorant and played with them for a year. When ‘keloqz’ was signed, pyth was benched and in November this year he was released to pursue other projects.

He announced via twitter that he will be relocating to Singapore, to be a part of his new org. Bleed esports has a core of 4 Singaporean players, and they decided to go international as they transition into a 6 man roster. The Swedish pro was signed along with Max ‘maxie’ Lönnström, another former CSGO pro who now plies his trade in Valorant.

Pyth has previously played for orgs like Luminosity Gaming, Chaos and most famously for Ninjas in Pyjamas alongside f0rest and GeT_RiGhT and won DreamHack Malmo 2016 with them as well as IEM Oakland 2016. He didnt see much success in competitive Valorant and his best finish with G2 was 3-4th place at First Strike Europe back in 2020. He spent most of 2021 inactive.

Pyth will be moving to Singapore to join his new team. The Bleed esports roster now looks like:

  • Lee Jun ‘LEXY’ Hao Xavier
  • Darren Mok ‘FirstLove’ Yong Xiang

CSGO: Heroic Throw ‘Illegal’ Molotov at BLAST Premier World Finals

In the opening game of BLAST World Finals between Heroic and Gambit, the Danish side threw a Molotov in the 11th round of the game. The Molotov is thrown from ‘mid window’ or ‘construction’ between B site and Mid.

It lands between the walls of T-Mid and bugs through to the other side. Since the Molotov is bugged, it also burns through a whole floor below towards B stairs.

Although Valve hasn’t made an official ruling regarding this, the Molotov is very clearly bugged. It should not be passing through walls let alone through a whole floor, giving the CTs an unfair advantage at the start of the round, with a lot of utility damage.

According to BLAST Premier admins, these molotovs are bugged and not allowed in professional games. The admins immediately paused the game and a long discussion was held whether the round should be replayed or not. Gambit had already won the round and it would’ve been unfair to take this away from them as they didn’t even do anything.

After an extended pause, the teams decided not to replay the round, and Heroic were asked not to throw the Molotov again.

CSGO is no stranger to bugs like these be it a smoke bug or a Molotov. The Molotov has been known since April 2021 and is used commonly by Pro and Casual players alike.

This is similar to a molotov on B site inferno which bugs through the skybox and falls deep into coffins on the site, staying in the air much longer than it needs to. It is also seen on Overpass where Bridge on B site can be mollied from A-long.

TOs should allow these utilities to be thrown until an official ruling is made by valve or the bug is patched.
