Valve Bans China’s Biggest CSGO Skin Collector QKSS

According to YouTuber and skin trader, Heyzeus, Valve has banned a Chinese CSGO Skin collector by the name of QKSS. QKSS’ CSGO inventory was worth more than 2 million US Dollars and included a wide variety of CSGO Knives, skins and valuable stickers.

Heyzeus is an Australian YouTuber, streamer and collector/trader of CSGO skins. In his video, Heyzeus explains that it isn’t the first account that QKSS has had banned. Back in 2018, QKSS had a steam account that was worth around $200k-300k at the time and on today’s date would be worth well over 1 million US dollars. The old account included 8 of the revered Titan Holos from EMS One Katowice 2014, 8 Dignitas Holos and 8 Vox Eminor Holos all from Kato 14.

The account was then VAC banned, as QKSS lent the account to a streamer who turned out to be a cheater. Once VAC banned, the user cannot buy, sell or trade any skins that are on the account and the items are rendered irretrievable.

QKSS Steam Account

QKSS then made another Steam account and bought all of the most valuable CSGO skins and stickers that they wished for. The new account from this Chinese CSGO collector consisted of the following CSGO skins and stickers, as per float.db and @elitepanda69 on Twitter:

  • Reason Gaming Holos – Kato 14 – x17 worth about $680,000
  • Vox Eminor Holos – Kato 14 – x10 worth about $180,000
  • Team LDLC Holos – Kato 14 – x8 worth about $160,000
  • iBuyPower Holo – Kato 14 – x1
  • Clan Mystik Holos – Kato 14 – x4

The Chinese skin collector also had an AWP Dragon Lore with 4 ibuypower Holos worth more than $100,000, an AWP Medusa with 4 Titan Holos, an M4A4 Poseidon with 4 Titan holos and various other Kato 14 crafts.

WHY WAS THIS CHINESE CSGO SKIN COLLECTOR QKSS BANNED?

According to Heyzeus, QKSS’ account hasn’t been issued a regular ban like a VAC ban or a trade ban. QKSS has received a community ban from Valve, which is not as common to see.

Community bans prevent users from buying and selling skins on the Steam Community Market, users can’t send or accept friend requests on Steam, they can’t participate in Steam Discussions, can’t edit their Steam profiles and their profiles are forced to be private, without the message ‘This Profile is Private’ being displayed on their profile.

The only thing a Community Banned account can do is Buy and play games. 

Why QKSS was banned, and will their community ban be lifted by Valve? remains to be seen, as in some rare cases, Valve does actually unban people who have been slapped with community bans.

Former Cloud9 Coach valens Used CSGO Coach Bug in Officials 

In an exclusive report from dexerto.com, it has been found that Ex-Cloud9 CSGO Coach Soham ‘valens’ Chowdhury had used the infamous CSGO Coach bug during his stint as Cloud9 Coach.

In the report from Luis Mira of dexerto, it is said that valens used the bug years ago,twice in 2017 and once in 2018. All these instances were during online games, the first 2 during qualifiers and the last one at an ESL Pro League Season 7 game.

According to the report, the first instance of the coach bug being in use was during Cloud9’s game vs Team Liquid, at an EPICENTER Closed qualifier.

On Inferno, valens was stuck in a spectator position at the B bombsite for the first 3 rounds and was able to see everything on the B bombsite, as all the entrances were visible, giving them the advantage as they were on the Terrorist side.

In the second instance, on Mirage the weirdest form of the Coach/spectator bug was seen. The coach’s camera was able to move throughout the map freely, the same way an observer’s would. This allowed the coach to have full knowledge of exactly what was going on at any part of the map, giving them unprecedented power.

CSGO Match referee Michal Slowinski did not rule out the possibility of various other bugs being in place, when the investigation was first started back in 2020. Michal Slowinski was the one that spearheaded the investigation of the CSGO coaching bug scandal, resulting in the banning of 37 coaches.

During an appearance on HLTV Confirmed podcast, he said “I think there might be two more different instances that we are looking into right now,”  and it was now proven with these new findings.

According to dexerto, upon being asked about the coach bug valens replied – “I thought it was just another glitch and one time it wouldn’t go away, so I contacted the TO mid-game,” he added. “The other times, I would just try to restart the game as soon as possible since I needed to spectate my players, and it fixed it.

It was quite possible I was just waiting for it to reset since most weird glitches in-game kind of just went away after pressing some keys, like the weird height bug where your model can see over things until you crouch or press jump. I definitely don’t know how it came to be and I didn’t seek it out in any way. I hope the lack of a pattern in getting to that game state is self-explanatory of my intent.

He stressed the fact that he did not share any information and thought that it was just a bug and did not misuse it in any way.

Valens was the coach of Cloud9 during their Major winning run at the ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018. He moved away from coaching in September 2019 and was appointed the Head of Data Science. He then moved to Evil Geniuses a month later and is the Head of Data Science still, covering CSGO, Dota2 and League of Legends.

WHAT IS THE CSGO COACH BUG?

As explained earlier by Talkesport, the CSGO coaching bug allowed coaches of CSGO teams to be stuck as a spectator in certain parts of the map while a match was underway, providing them with full vision around the area. Coaches abusing the bug could gain information on the enemy team’s whereabouts, economy, and tactics which would otherwise be unobtainable.

WHO WAS BANNED FOR USING THE COACH BUG?

Once ESL issued bans to MechanoGun, HUNDEN and dead from GamerLegion, Heroic and MIBR respectively for using the spectator bug in ESL tournaments, ESIC conducted another investigation to find just how prevalent the usage of the bug was. 

The result of the investigation sent shockwaves throughout the CSGO community. As many as 37 coaches were found guilty of using the coach bug, dating all the way back to 2017. This included revered names such as former mouseports coach Allan ‘Rejin’ Petersen and FURIA skipper Nicholas ‘guerri’ Nogeuira. The full list can be found here.

Some teams terminated their coaches from their contract while some continued to make use of their services, such as ENCE and Heroic moving their coaches to the analyst position until their ban was over.

In january of 2021, Valve announced Life bans for 8 coaches involved in the coaching bug scandal. These 8 coaches would never be allowed at any Valve sponsored events again, including CSGO Majors.

Esports to be included as an event in 2022 Commonwealth Games

The 2022 Commonwealth Games will witness the addition of a new category of “Esports” as a pilot event. The event is scheduled to take place at the International Convention Centre between 6-7 August. As stated by Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) executive board, the event will take place at the same time as Birmingham 2022 while being independent of the Games and its program.

As this is the first time, Esports is being added as a pilot event, no medals will be awarded. The event could be permanent if it could draw a large number of younger audiences to the games. Organizers of the event are hopeful that it does work out, and if so it could become an actual medal discipline in 2026.

“I am delighted that we are announcing the first Commonwealth esports championships and Commonwealth esports forum to take place in Birmingham this summer,” said CGF President, Dame Louise Martin. “Esports is continuing to grow dramatically in terms of popularity and participation, particularly amongst young people, and we are continuing to look at ways to explore how it can align with the Commonwealth Sports Movement.

“Commonwealth esports championships provide an excellent opportunity to pilot esports close to the Commonwealth Games. This will allow us to review the long-term relationship between the Commonwealth Games and esports as we continue to evolve and explore future editions of our event and what they could look like.”

There have been no details about the games that have been seen in the esports category. DOTA 2, the Valve developed MOBA, is expected to be one of the three titles featured in the esports trial at the Commonwealth Games.

However, the game quickly bounced back. Active player stats show that it gains at least 2% of players every month. It isn’t anywhere close to July 2021 when Valorant hit 14.9 million players, but it’s undoubtedly getting there. 

So far, 15 million is the peak number Valorant has reached. This rise was seen in July, after which the game started to lose temporary players as more loyal FPS fans began to get hooked. After a year of its release, Valorant has found a stable footing as no drastic slump has been noticed. The count consistently goes up, which is an excellent sign for a new game. In January 2022, Valorant is getting closer to its 15 million average player mark.

PGL Antwerp CSGO Major RMR Tournaments to Start in April on LAN

PGL announced today that they will be hosting the RMR tournaments for the upcoming CSGO Major in April of 2022. The RMR events for PGL Antwerp Major will take place in Bucharest, Romania, at the PGL Studios. All three events will be played on LAN and teams must travel to Romania to attend the event.

They had already announced that PGL Antwerp Major would be taking place from May 9th – May 22nd and take place on LAN, with the playoffs at the Antwerps Sportpaleis Arena.

According to the new CSGO Major rulebook from Valve, there will be no direct invites or RMR points based on previous Majors. Each team will have to qualify for the PGL Antwerp Major based on their performance in the RMR tournament. The RMR will start from 11th April and run until 24th April for all 3 regions. 

PGL ANTWERP RMR TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

As per the press release from PGL esports, the schedule for the RMR is as follows:

  • Americas RMR (16 teams): April 11-14
  • Asia RMR (4 teams): April 15-16
  • Europe RMR A (16 teams): April 17-20
  • Europe RMR B (16 teams): April 21-24

Europe has been broken up into 2 because of the number of teams coming from both the CIS and European regions. 

HOW MANY TEAMS WILL QUALIFY FOR PGL ANTWERP MAJOR?

As per the Major rulebook and the announcement from PGL, there will be 24 teams at PGL Antwerp. 8 teams will qualify as Legends, 8 as Challengers and 8 as Contenders. Based on the results from the previous CSGO Major – PGL Stockholm, the slot distribution in the different stages is as follows:

  • LEGENDS – 7 Europe & 1 Americas
  • CHALLENGERS – 6 Europe & 2 Americas
  • CONTENDERS – 3 Europe, 3 Americas & 2 Asia-Pacific

As per the format, a limited number of teams will be invited to the RMR tournaments while the rest will have to qualify through open qualifiers.

AMERICAS RMR 

  • The first RMR event will be for the Americas – North and South America and feature 16 teams.
  • Only FURIA will be invited as the rest of the teams changed more than 3 players such as EG and Team Liquid and will have to qualify through Open Qualifiers.
  • The team placing first will go through as Legends, 2-3rd will qualify as Challengers and 4-6 as Contenders

ASIA RMR

  • Each team will qualify through open Qualifiers, no invites.
  • Since there will only be 4 teams, top 2 teams will qualify as Contenders.

EUROPE A RMR

  • There will be 16 teams in each of the European RMRs.
  • Invited teams – Natus Vincere, Heroic, Virtus.pro, Team Vitality, Copenhagen Flames, Astralis, ENCE (Based on performance at PGL Stockholm). Rest will qualify from open qualifiers.
  • Top 4 – Legend Status, Places 5-6 – Challengers and Places 7-8 – Contenders.

EUROPE B RMR

  • Invited teams –  G2 Esports, Gambit Esports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Entropiq, FaZe Clan, MOUZ. 10 others through open qualifiers.
  • Top 3 teams will get Legend Status, 4-7 as Challengers and 8th place will get Contender status. Rest will be eliminated.

WILL PLAYERS HAVE TO BE VACCINATED TO PLAY IN THE RMR AND PGL ANTWERP MAJOR?

According to PGL’s statement players, talent and the rest of the crew need to be vaccinated to appear for the RMR as well as the Major. They said 

As we’ve announced since last year, starting with 2022, all participating players, talent, and crew must be fully vaccinated. This applies to both the RMR events and PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

PGL CS:GO MAJOR ANTWERP Schedule

  • Challengers Stage – May 9-12.
  • Legends Stage – May 14-17.
  • Champions Stage – May 19-22.

How to Get Other Half Sword in Destiny 2

The Other Half sword can be obtained by going to the Xur’s Treasure Hoard by going to the ‘Destinations’ directory and selecting ‘Eternity’. 

Players will then need to find a treasure key and open Xur’s treasure boxes which are located around the ledge past Xur. The Other Half sword can be found in one of the treasure boxes. 

While players can directly get their hands on the treasure keys through the Starhorse using Strange Coins, another free alternative to get treasure keys is to take part in the ‘Dares of Eternity’, the co-op survival mission of the event. 

Each successful run will reward participating players with a treasure key drop. 

Once done, all you have to do is collect these treasure keys and open Xur’s treasure boxes. While the exact drop rate of the Other Half sword isn’t transparent, players can keep grinding in the event with hopes of finding the sword as swiftly as possible.
