Vodafone 5G ESL Mobile Open partners with Huawei

Huawei, the Chinese multinational technology giant has been announced as Vodafone 5G ESL mobile open’s official partner.

The event is set to kick off on 28th – 29th September at Milan Games week in Italy and this newly announced deal indicates that every contender at this event will be making use of the Huawei Mate 20X 5G smartphone for competing at the two featured games : Asphalt 9: Legends and PUBG Mobile. This is a revolutionary event as for the first time in competitive gaming, a tournament is being played live via a 5G network, having a grand prize pool of $150,000 with competitors from over 17 countries fighting for the crown. The event will feature a Vodafone x ESL free-play area where visitors will be given the opportunity to test the new Huawei Mate 20 X 5G phone which will definitely be seen in the hands of every player.
