TSM Set to Make Huge CS2 Comeback with dupreeh

Team SoloMid (TSM), the North American esports organization, is set to make a grand return to the Counter-Strike (CS) franchise after a hiatus of over six years. TSM’s comeback strategy involves targeting seasoned European CS:GO players, including five-time Major champion dupreeh, to assemble a formidable lineup for the forthcoming CS2.

In the esports market scouting phase, several prominent names have surfaced, including German AWPer Florian “syrsoN” Rische, French rifler Audric “JACKZ” Jug, and former G2 head coach Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam. These individuals are believed to be the prime targets for TSM’s ambitious project.

Interestingly, TSM’s planned resurgence in CS esports was first announced in October 2022, with a European lineup in mind. The organization began its search for a general manager to oversee operations in February of the following year. However, a period of silence followed, sparking doubts among fans about TSM’s intentions to build a CS lineup, especially after the organization’s financial challenges came to light in March.

The timing for TSM’s comeback coincides with the summer release of CS2, presenting an ideal opportunity. With several players in restricted or unrestricted free agency due to roster changes across top-tier organizations worldwide, TSM stands a chance to recruit high-caliber talent without the burden of hefty buyout clauses.

Dupreeh’s case is particularly intriguing. After leaving Vitality’s active lineup on June 22, the five-time Major champion is now a free agent in search of a new team. Dupreeh has expressed his desire to not only play CS2 professionally but also compete for a team that could potentially win the first CS2 Major in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2024. Notably, Dupreeh has a past association with TSM, having played for the organization in 2015 before his stint with Astralis in 2016.

TSM’s last involvement with the CS ecosystem dates back to January 2017. The organization had to part ways with a North American lineup led by Sean Gares and Twistzz following a dispute over player rights.

With the strategic targeting of free agents and the potential return of a seasoned player like dupreeh, TSM’s comeback to the CS franchise promises to be a significant development in esports. Fans and industry watchers will certainly keep a keen eye on how the organization’s new lineup shapes up.
