PUBG Mobile and Free Fire creators announce a new open-world survival title ‘Undawn’

Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studios and Garena has announced a new open-world shooting and survival title named ‘Undawn’. The story of this game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where hordes of zombies lie in wait. Players need to survive under various circumstances while exploring the game.

Garena are the developers of famous battle royale title Free Fire and Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studios is responsible for handling the global operations of PUBG Mobile. Both of them are known for creating popular games and now, they have combined to develop this new game.

Undawn will include both player-vs-player and player-vs-environment modes where players can either explore the world on their own or team up with their friends for clearing up the zombies. A trailer for this game has been released and it reveals a short storyline of the game.

The website of Undawn sheds light on some details of the game. A list of characters and their appearance has been showcased under the ‘Raven Squad’ section which might be the in-game characters for this new title. The game will be cross-platform between PC and mobile so it will be interesting to see how the mechanisms of this game will be implemented.

The pre alpha test of this game will begin very soon and the FAQ section of Garena Undawn reveals that the game will be initially released in Taiwan, China and SEA region.
