After an exciting day two, the MDL Paris Major action resumed on Monday ,6th May 2019 at Disney’s Newport Bay Club, Disneyland, Paris.

Let’s recap yesterday’s events. At the end of day two, the playoffs bracket looked like:

Upper Bracket Round 1 Games:

First upper bracket of the day saw Team Secret take on PSG.LGD. The game was expected to be competitive, but the first game was anything but. Team Secret won the game 1 comfortably to take a 1-0 lead in the series. PSG.LGD made a comeback in game 2 to tie the series up at 1-1. Team Secret held their nerves in the final game of the series and fought for a hard-earned 2-1 victory against the French-Chinese Giants.

Second upper bracket game of the day was the most anticipated matchup of the day.DPC Leaders for 2 years in a row, Virtus.Pro took on TI8 Champions OG, who ironically are attending only their first major of the season.

Even with Ana’s return, not many expected OG to perform well, much less upset VP. But OG had other plans, and a surprise for everyone.

OG completely decimated VP in 2 games, lasting 23m45s and 19m18s respectively.

This game sets up a Round 3 Upper Bracket match between Team Secret and OG, which will be played out in the Disney Events Arena!
