India qualified by winning the National Esports Championships (NESC) 2026, then topping the regional qualifiers with wins over Jordan, Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan. At Hangzhou 2023, a largely similar Indian lineup lost 2-0 to Vietnam in the quarterfinals.

Pokémon UNITE: eliminated in the group stage
India’s Pokémon UNITE team was the Revenant XSpark roster: Adnan Mohammed Badshah (Badshah), Reuben Godfrey Fernandes (Reuben), Sai Krishna Nalluri (Vulcan), Dipjyoti Laxman Nath (Disapple) and Rudra Narayan Nayak (Rex), with Deepkumar Vipulbhai Patel as substitute and Zeren Wang as coach. Paritosh was India’s only entry in Puyo Puyo Champions, an individual puzzle event making its Asian Games debut.

India entered eFootball with Danial Patel on mobile and Chinmay Sahoo on console, playing in Group F.

Mongolia’s team leader reached the check-in point three minutes after the deadline. Under the competition rules, India was awarded a forfeit win recorded as 0-0. India asked to play the match instead, but officials refused. A review by a judge panel was available for a $500 fee, which the Indian players chose not to pay.
