Complexity part ways with Deth, after ESL One Mumbai

After Team Team dropped Jason “Newsham” Newsham and Nico “Gunnar” Lopez, immediately after their 5th -6th placement at ESL ONE MUMBAI 2019, fresh roster news has rocked the North American Dota 2 scene.

Earlier today, Complexity gaming announced the departure of Wu Heng “Deth” Yang from their Dota 2 squad.

Replacing him would be Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton, in the role of the offlane on a trial basis until the end of the MDL Disneyland Major, who has previously played as a stand-in for Complexity multiple times before.

This move comes following their 7th – 8th place finish at ESL One Mumbai 2019.

According to Complexity’s announcement,

“The mutual decision was made shortly after the conclusion of ESL One Mumbai, this was not a reaction to an early exit from the event. This roster change comes as the conclusion to a number of internal discussions that have taken place over the recent weeks. The team has experienced not only the normal stress that comes with a competitive atmosphere, but also the additional stresses of visa issues and the adjustment to living far from home. “

Deth had the following statement to make:

I’ve been really glad to be part of coL for the past 5 months and would like to thank both the team and the organization for everything. I had a great time and learned a lot, unfortunately somewhere down the road it felt like things were not working out and hence we had to part ways. Nevertheless, I wish them all the best in the Major!

Complexity Gaming will next be seen playing at the MDL Disneyland DOTA 2 Major in Paris, which begins on the 4th of May.
