Ludra Returns to Aion 2 the Same Day WoW Forever Goes Live: Patch Preview Revealed

As Aion 2 continues to maintain its popularity as one of the biggest MMO launches this year, the developers might just be getting a bit too ambitious, going head to head with arguably the most iconic MMO franchises of all time.

Through an announcement earlier today, NC has announced that the Sanctuary Raid Ludra is all set to return to Aion 2 on November 4, 2026, the same day Blizzard’s highly anticipated title World of Warcraft: Forever launches worldwide. Needless today, hardcore MMO fans are certain to be torn between two big events.

For the unaware, Ludra was initially added to Aion 2 during its Early Access release on September 30, 2026. However, it was later removed from the global launch build on October 5 after Early Access groups beat it at a lower progression level than NC had originally planned for.

After pulling it from the game entirely, NC had promised that they’d announce the return date for the toughest Aion 2 raid by October 16. The announcement arrived a week later, on October 23.

Aion 2 Confirms Ludra Raid Return: All Changes

The Ludra raid in Aion 2 is set to return with the game’s November 4 maintenance, with new and adjusted mechanics and attack patterns.

Two difficulties will be available for the Ludra fight from day one:

  • Normal: item level 2,800
  • Hard: item level 3,000

It goes without saying that the item score requirements are exceptionally high for the average player. For most players, Ludra will be a goal to work toward over the following weeks.

Aion 2 November 4 Patch Preview

The Ludra raid isn’t the only piece of new content coming to Aion 2 with the game’s November 4 update. There’s plenty more to look forward to.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the Aion 2 November 4 patch preview, as revealed by the devs.

  • Ludra Hunt (Nov 4 to Nov 25): The first hard-mode clear in each of the five regions will net you the title “Conqueror of Ludra”. The next four parties get Champion of Ludra, and parties 6 to 20 get “Challenger of Ludra”. Everyone else who clears normal or hard mode gets “Ludra Hunter”. The Hall of Fame has been reset for the occasion.
  • Odyle Energy Boost (Oct 28 to Nov 10/11): Two Odyle Energy arrive in your mail each day, to help you farm Expeditions and Transcendence dungeons beforehand.
  • Ludra Conquest Check-In (Nov 4 to 18): Seven login rewards across 14 days. They include Bound Kina, Abyss Points, Soul Crystals and a Lush Leaf Tiara helmet.
  • Daeva Bootcamp (Nov 4 to 18): Community-wide dungeon-clear milestones that pay out Instant Clear Tickets, Training Arcana and Resurrection Stones to everyone.
  • Twitch Drops: Rewards for up to 14 hours of watch time during the event window.
  • Ludra Outfit Contest: Post a screenshot on Discord for a shot at Quna prizes.

Blizzard’s WoW: Forever is scheduled to go live worldwide at 3 pm PST on November 4. Aion 2’s raid also opens up on the same day once the Wednesday maintenance ends.
