Valve has released a new update ahead of the Cologne Major, featuring a plethora of gameplay improvements, map optimisations, and bug fixes to make the game more stable.
From the patch notes, Valve has addressed stability improvements directly, which is always a welcome change. Along with stability improvements, the update promises smoother performance, better hit registration, and improved competitive gameplay. The community has responded positively to these changes, which greatly focus on improving the game.
Rarely has an update been exclusively focused on improving the game, and as we prepare for the Major, a stable game will not only bring an improved experience but also make the game more consistent. Continued efforts from the developers have made massive improvements over time, and despite a plethora of unaddressed issues, Counter-Strike continues to thrive.
