YouTube is reportedly hosting a special Creator Collective event for GTA 6 in West London on November 17, two days before the game launches. Neither YouTube nor Rockstar Games has announced the event publicly, and no guest list has been shared.
If the report is accurate, it would be one of the clearest signs yet of how much the biggest video platform expects to gain from GTA 6. The game releases on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the first few days after launch are likely to be among the busiest in YouTube gaming history.
What is a YouTube Creator Collective?
Creator Collectives are in-person events that YouTube runs for people who make videos on the platform. According to the official YouTube Blog, they are “designed by creators, for creators” and are meant to help channels build community, expand their reach and grow their businesses. YouTube has held them around the world since 2022, and in 2025 it took them to all 50 US states to mark the platform’s 20th anniversary.
Most Creator Collectives are general meetups for creators at every stage. A session built around a single game would be unusual, and that is what makes this one stand out.
What is the GTA 6 event reportedly about?
Details are thin. The reports so far give a date, November 17, and a location, West London. They do not say which creators are invited, whether Rockstar is involved, or whether anyone will get to play the game early.
That last point is the one fans will care about most. Rockstar has kept a tight grip on GTA 6 ahead of launch, and rumours of early access have already caused a stir. We looked at one of them in our piece on whether Shirrako has GTA 6 early. Until YouTube or Rockstar says otherwise, there is nothing to suggest this event includes hands-on time.

The previous game shows why. GTA 5 has sold more than 225 million copies, and an entire creator economy grew around it, from GTA Online money guides to roleplay streams on FiveM servers. Those channels kept GTA among the most-watched games on YouTube and Twitch for more than a decade.
GTA 6 also launches into a very different video world. YouTube Shorts did not exist when GTA 5 came out in 2013. This time, millions of clips, guides and reaction videos will be competing for attention from the first hour, and YouTube has every reason to make sure its creators are ready. Demand is already huge. Data firm Sensor Tower estimates 7.71 million pre-orders with two weeks still to go.
With the event reportedly less than two weeks away, more details should surface soon, either from YouTube itself or from creators who attend. Pre-load is the next big date on the calendar, and our guide to GTA 6 pre-load times and file size has the details. We will update this story if YouTube or Rockstar confirms the Creator Collective or shares who is going.
