Map Veto and Selection

For the veto, God’s Reign and Velocity banned Fracture and Icebox respectively. God’s Reign picks Ascent while Velocity picks Pearl. They go on to ban Split and Haven, making Lotus the last map to be played.

Match Recap

On Ascent, VLT started off strong as they won the pistol round with Hellf’s quad kill. GDR decided to force the next round, still falling prey to VLT’s strong defense. VLT led 4-0 until Hoax’s triple kills got GDR their first round. GDR managed to get their score up to 4-5, but VLT managed to close the half at 8-4.

GDR hit it off in the second half at first, winning the pistol round with Autumn’s quad kills and anti-eco with Autumn’s triple kills. After their loss in bonus, VLT caught momentum as they finished the map at 13-6, not giving God’s Reign any more rounds to work with.

Pearl started with VLT dominating again, winning the pistol round and anti-eco round, with Doma getting triple kills in the latter. VLT won their bonus round as well, pushing the scoreline to as far as 5-0, with Excali getting a 4k in round 4. Round 6 went in the favor of GDR even though they had a broken buy. Round 7 saw a 1 vs 3 clutch by Psydreams, on utterly low hp, getting him a quad kill. GDR managed to bring back the score to 6-6 to end the first half, thanks to another 1v2 clutch by Psydreams in round 11.

VLT won the pistol round again, as well as the anti-eco. After losing the bonus, VLT went on to lose 5 rounds in a row, making the scoreline 11-8. VLT tried to equalize the score again but failed to finish the map, making GDR the winner of map 2, at 13-11.

After defeating each other at opposite map picks, Lotus was the last map to be played. GDR won the pistol and the anti-eco round with Vibhorr’s 4k, losing the bonus to Amaterasu’s 3k on Killjoy. Round 4 went to GDR and Psydreams managed to clutch it again, this time a 1 vs 3 situation to defuse the spike in time. This time the scores went close as 3-3, 4-4, but eventually GDR managed to close the half with their advantage of 7-5.

GDR won the pistol round again, alongside the anti-eco round with Psydreams’ 4k. In Round 18, VLT managed to clutch a 3v5 situation, with Doma getting a triple kill, bringing the score to 8-10. Round 23 saw a broken buy win by GDR, getting them the map at 13-10.

Psydreams seemed to be the MVP with his insane clutches and an impressive KDA of 58/42/22 in three maps on Sova and Skye.

With this Velocity’s running in Split 1 of VCL SA comes to an end and God’s Reign proceeds further, meeting Aster Army in their next matchup.

CSGO Servers Are Down Right Now on 21st April 2023

On 21st April 2023, CSGO players across the Globe reported outages of the game servers.

The first and most common cause of server outages is a new update. When a new update is shipped to the game, the servers can go down temporarily. However, in case of an update, the servers can be up quite quickly.

Another reason behind server outages may be a technical fault in Valve’s servers. This is very unlikely to happen but it has happened on more than one occasion in the past.

In case you’re finding yourself unable to launch CSGO or join a game, you can check for yourself if CSGO servers are down.

CSGO Server Status

There are a number of websites to check the server statuses of popular games like CSGO or DOTA 2, and even the server status of Steam itself. One of the most reliable websites to check server issues is steamstat.us; it shows detailed stats on the statuses of game coordinators of Dota 2, Artifact, CSGO, and TF 2 along with reports of server outages.

So next time you find yourself in a similar situation, don’t panic and take your time to check if the servers are down. Another renowned website to check server outages is DownDetector. Besides those, you can always follow TalkEsport to see the latest updates on server outages worldwide.

The Rise of Poker: How It Became the Most Popular Casino Game

0

Poker is one of the world’s oldest and most popular casino games. It has been around since the early 1800s, and it’s seen a steady rise in popularity over the years. In recent decades, it has become one of the most widely played card games in casinos everywhere. But what exactly makes Poker so appealing?

The main appeal of Poker lies in its simple rules that anyone can quickly learn. The game also highlights players’ competitive nature as they strive to beat their opponents and take home the pot. Additionally, many variations of Poker are available at online pokies Australia, meaning that players always enjoy playing different variations of the game day after day.

The history of poker

Poker’s history dates back centuries. The game originated in China during the 10th century, where it was known as “domino cards.” It then spread to Europe and eventually reached America in the 19th century. Poker was mainly played with a 20-card deck and four players during this time. Over time, more decks were added, and different game variations emerged. By the mid-1800s, Poker had become popular among Americans and was often played at saloons or gambling halls. In 1931, Nevada legalized gambling, increasing Poker’s popularity across America. Today, many variations of Poker can be found at some of the best online casino Canada, offering players an opportunity to be spoilt for choice. No matter what variation you choose, Poker remains one of the most beloved casino games due to its strategic nature and exciting gameplay.

Standard terms used in the game

Poker is a game of skill, strategy, and luck. Understanding the terminology used in the game is essential to become a successful poker player. Here are some common terms you should know:

Action – This refers to any betting or raising during a hand.

All-in – When a player bets all their chips on one hand.

Blinds: Forced bets made by two players before any cards are dealt.

Call – Matching the amount of money bet by another player.

Check – Do not bet when it’s your turn but remain in hand.

Fold – Choosing not to continue playing and forfeiting your chance at winning the pot.

Raise – Increasing the amount of money bet by another player during a hand.

The different types of poker games

There are many different types of poker games to choose from. The most common type of Poker is Texas Hold ’em, played with two-hole cards and five community cards. In this game, players must make the best five-card hand using any combination of their hole and community cards.

Other popular variations include Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, Razz, Badugi, Pineapple Open Face Chinese Poker (OFC), and more. Each variation has its own set of rules and strategies that can be used to increase your chances of success.

For example, in Omaha Hi/Lo, each player receives four hole cards instead of two like in Texas Hold ’em; however, they must use two out of their four-hole cards and three out of the five community cards to make their best hand.

Learning how to bluff effectively

Mastering the skill of bluffing in Poker has been crucial since the poker boom, for it has always been the difference between victory and defeat. Ensuring your opponents stay caught on that you’re bluffing is crucial to your success.

You must understand their nonverbal cues, such as body language and facial emotions. Focus on how they respond to your bets and raises and how they play when they have a good hand. Overconfident players should be folded against in Poker since they usually hold a decent hand. Conversely, if someone seems timid or uncertain, they may try to pull a fast one.

Comparing live Poker to Online Poker

There has been a rise in the number of people playing Poker online over the last several years. It is because of the many options for online gaming and the comfort of playing from home.

However, many poker enthusiasts continue to choose live games in brick-and-mortar casinos for the social component and the adrenaline rush they provide. Although online Poker is becoming more well-known, it still pales compared to living poker in terms of player volume. Most poker fans still go for in-person games in brick-and-mortar casinos rather than their virtual counterparts because of the social aspects of the game.

Comparing poker to other casino games

Unlike most other casino games, Poker emphasizes player skill more. Poker is a card game where chance, like in any gambling, plays a part, but skill and strategy also factor in how you play the hand you’ve been dealt.

Therefore, individuals that put in the time and effort to learn the game will be rewarded since expert players will have an advantage over their less experienced opponents. However, Poker may be scary to beginner players because of its intricacy. Because there are so many game variants, each with its own rules, mastery of the game may take some time.

In conclusion, the popularity of Poker may be attributed to its competitive aspect and broad appeal. Because of its simple but strategic gameplay, it has quickly become the most-played casino game on the planet.
