New Vent Bug in Counter Strike 2 Sparks Player Concerns

0

As the limited test phase of Valve’s Counter-Strike 2 nears its conclusion, players are still finding new and game-breaking bugs that are becoming a cause of concern in the game’s community.

The Nuke vent bug in CS2 is one of the newest bugs that have been discovered by the player base, and if you’re not aware of it, you can easily find yourself dying unsuspectingly as you try to go down the vents in the iconic Counter-Strike map.

The vents in Nuke are extremely important as they’re used by both CTs and Ts in CS2 to traverse between the A and B-Bombsites. It’s even a common strategy for Ts to rush down the vents at the start of a round to get an early entry into the B-site. However, a bug is frustrating CS2 players as they’re repeatedly dying while attempting to break the vents in Nuke.

Recently, a bunch of videos have surfaced on social media forums where players can be seen knifing the vents without being able to break them. Usually, these vents take a single knife hit to break, which is why a lot of unsuspecting players are dying to their enemies while trying to go down the vents after knifing them once.

CS2 players from throughout the globe are asking Valve to address this issue as soon as possible.

Female Valorant pro reportedly turned down by male players from VCT trials

0

According to reports, Female professional Valorant players are getting turned down by tier-1 teams in light of male players unwilling to play with women.

Veteran esports personality  Rod “Slasher” Breslau revealed the woes of female professional players during a stream with former CSGO player Sean Gares. Two personalities who are well respected in the gaming and esports space got together to discuss the current affairs in the Valorant space when the topic of VCT Game Changers player Melanie “meL” Capone came up which led to them revealing some disturbing rumors about the professional Valorant scene.

“Every single team that she has tried to scrim with, at a tier one level, has refused to try out because there was at least one player on the team that does not want to play with a woman.” claimed Slasher.

“I heard this exact same thing in Counter-Strike,” Slasher revealed further. “[mimi] was the best female player… They had won every single championship in the women’s league, she was doing great, she was the best player on her team.

“And when I was speaking to her, she was telling me she couldn’t even try-out for tier two teams, or even tier three teams, for the exact same reason. Is that players on those teams did not want to practice with a woman.”

Even though these allegations are serious, it will be safe to assume there is some truth to them given Slasher has a good track record as a reporter. meL, the player in question is yet to address this but if any of this is true, we as a community need to come together and give women their rightful space in the esports scene.

Valorant Update 7.06 Patch Notes

0

Valorant’s latest update has just hit the surface and suffice it to say it does bring any major changes to the game. Most of the updates are aimed at gameplay optimization and quality-of-life changes.

One of the more notable changes comes with Sage. Her voice has established a whole fanbase within Valorant and now she will be getting new voice and interaction lines that fans can get excited about. It further addresses changes when loading accessories aimed towards reducing load times.

One majorly overlooked update was Riot claiming to actively monitor competitive matches and keep looking for players boosting with bots and other players. To avoid boosting, Riot will only allow certain ranks to play with each other in the competitive modes thus reducing the chances of coming across smurfs or boosters.

GENERAL UPDATES

  • We’re implementing some updates to how we load your accessories, like gun buddies and weapons skins so that it will reduce your load times. This will land mid-patch.
SAGE
  • We’ve updated Sage’s voice lines and added interaction lines with more Agents.
COMPETITIVE UPDATES
  • There has been a wave of competitive rank boosting with bots and real players. In an effort to protect against this abuse, we have introduced restrictions where Ascendant players and higher can only invite players with Platinum rank and higher to their competitive party.
  • We will continue to actively monitor botting abuse and ban any accounts suspicious of this behaviour.
  • For more information on our Gameplay Systems and our approach to combating disruptive behaviour.
GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS UPDATES
  • Made some back-end updates for Combat Reports in order to fix instances where all the correct information wasn’t showing. Please let us know if there are any weird behaviours—especially after death and pre-round start.
BUG FIXES
GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS
  • Fixed a rare bug where you would be revealed unintentionally in places where you shouldn’t be seen after purchasing a weapon.
  • Fixed an issue where the Spike plant and defuse UI bar did not appear for minimal HUD observers.
  • Fixed a bug where vision cones would flicker at the start of a round on Sunset.

Blind Esports’ 2.5x Salary Hike Offer Led the Departure of Global Esports’ BGMI Roster

0

Rushindra Sinha, the CEO of Global Esports, recently addressed a question that had been on the minds of fans from the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) community: Why did the organization release its formidable BGMI roster? In a detailed response, Sinha shed light on the factors and considerations that led to the decision of letting go of its roster.

Sinha Explains Why Global Esports Let Go of Its Former BGMI Roster

Global Esports, known for its strong presence in the Indian esports scene, had a formidable BGMI roster featuring talented players such as NakuL, JokeR, Manya, AJ, and Ronny. This lineup, which now plays for Blind Esports, had been the cornerstone of Global Esports for about one and a half years. Notably, while under the organization, this very roster won the prestigious BGMI Master Series (BGMS) in 2022. Following this victory, the roster emerged as one of the most aggressive teams in the country. Sinha emphasized that Global Esports had played a pivotal role in nurturing and developing these players, helping them become the formidable force they were in the BGMI community.

The ban imposed on BGMI in India threw the esports community into uncertainty. During this challenging period, Global Esports remained committed to its players. Sinha proudly mentioned that the organization never missed a single salary payment throughout the ban period. While other organizations grappled with salary cuts and uncertainty, the organization went the extra mile to ensure that their players were financially secure. The salaries paid during this period were nominal, but were more  than the average income of an individual in India, providing the players with a comfortable financial cushion.

Following their BGMS victory and the end of the ban period, the players deservedly asked for a salary hike from the organization. Sinha explained that the players approached Global Esports with their request, but the organization’s response was measured. They advised the players to wait until the game’s return before discussing a salary increase.

Following this, the roster revealed that Blind Esports put forth a tempting offer. Blind Esports offered the players two and a half times what they had requested from Global Esports.

A Tough But Necessary Decision

Sinha revealed that Global Esports had carefully assessed the financial viability of meeting Blind Esports’ offer demands. Despite their success and potential, the numbers didn’t add up. The offered salary increase, even if the team continued winning events, was not sustainable in the long term for the organization.

In the end, Global Esports made the tough but rational decision to release their BGMI roster, allowing them to pursue the opportunity offered by Blind Esports.

Leaks Suggest Microsoft will Revolutionize Gaming with All-Digital Xbox Series X and Gyro Controller

0

A significant leak has unveiled Microsoft’s ambitious plans for the future of gaming. The tech giant is not only introducing an all-digital Xbox Series X but also a groundbreaking gyro controller.

The Evolution of Xbox Series X

Microsoft is gearing up for a mid-generation refresh of the Xbox Series X. Contrary to their previous statements, the company is working on three new consoles. The most notable among them is the “Brooklin,” a disc-less version of the Xbox Series X, set to launch tentatively in November 2024. This model, with its cylindrical design, is a departure from the current Xbox Series X’s design. It promises enhanced features like Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C front port, and a 6-nanometer die shrink. These upgrades aim to offer a more sustainable and efficient gaming experience.

Sebile: The Controller Revolution

Microsoft’s “Sebile” controller is poised to redefine gaming interactions. With a built-in accelerometer and haptics that double as speakers, it draws parallels with Sony’s DualSense controller. The Sebile controller promises quieter buttons, modular thumbsticks, and enhanced reparability. Its gyro feature will allow players to control games by merely moving the controller, offering a more immersive experience.

Microsoft’s commitment to sustainability is evident in their upcoming releases. The new Xbox Series X will utilize over 30% recycled plastic and come packaged in 100% recycled materials. Despite these advancements, Microsoft assures that the pricing will remain competitive. The all-digital Xbox Series X is expected to retail at $499, maintaining the price point of the current model.
