NODWIN Gaming, India’s largest gaming and esports company have in an unprecedented move, terminated Mannu ‘KRAT’ Karki who was involved in an abusive incident in a CSGO game.
TalkEsport yesterday published a report in an interview with Rushant Malhotra, who alleged Mannu ‘Krat’ Karki, along with a few of his lobbymates were involved in an in-game banter, which went too far.
According to a report by DBLTAP, ESL has requested to put the coach’s involvement up for a vote between the professional CSGO teams. The vote was put in today with a 24-hour deadline handed to the teams to make a decision.
The vote was designed in a hard-line fashion for the coaches. The first option for them was to be involved in the server as well as the voice chat, while the other was disallowing the coach completely from both the server and the voice chat. While ESL sugarcoated this by labeling it a ‘Vote’ but this wasn’t much of a vote, to begin with, as even if a single teams vote against having a coach, the motion will be passed.
why would a team without a coach just say no to the vote to strategically screw over the other teams? it would just make the most sense if you don't have a coach to say no so the vote doesn't pass unanimously and I can already guarantee you that some team is already doing this
Prominent professional players like dev1ce and EliGE publicly despised the vote on Twitter. ELiGE didn’t shy away from saying that this move will benefit teams without coaches strategically. The current structure of a lot of teams is based on coaches having a major role, as they can be assessing every player equally which the players cannot do themselves and formulate a strategy to counter their opposition.
The move is assumed to be driven by the fact that it has been difficult for their admins to keep a track of the impact the coaches are having mid-round. While muting them on the voice channel is an option, but teams in a Bootcamp can freely communicate with the coach while keeping their microphones shut.
Worldwide tech mammoth Facebook will make its entrance into the game spilling fragment with the dispatch of Facebook Gaming for a worldwide crowd. The US-based internet based life stage is additionally hoping to accelerate other gaming ventures too, including another competition highlight.
“Investing in gaming in general has become a priority for us (Facebook) because we see gaming as a form of entertainment that really connects people… It’s entertainment that’s not just a form of passive consumption but entertainment that is interactive and brings people together,” Fidji Simo, head of the Facebook app, told New York Times.

It was originally supposed to launch in June, according to the Times, but Facebook moved it up to meet current demand.
After loosing Patrick “es3tag” Hansen to Astralis which further resulted in a transfer failure to the Chinese Organization FunPlus Phoenix, team Heroic saw themselves to be in a turmoil after they decided to bring in some “big changes to their roster” upon returning from North America where they played under the banner of FunPlus Phoenix at the Flashpoint 1 tournament. Amidst of these events, Heroic did bench it’s two players, es3tag and Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer from the active lineup.
In a bid to search for two new players to complete their roster, Heroic decided to bring in Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen who until now had been a free agent along with an earlier signing which featured René “TeSeS” Madsen join the former from Copenhagen Flames where the team crashed to 12th position in Flashpoint 1.
The 21yo Danish player had previously represented Heroic from 2016-2018 before he went on to play for North, Rogue, and OpTic. While in his tenure with North, he did help the latter to dominate at the DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 where they outclassed their Danish Counterparts team Astralis, toppling them 2-1 in the Grand Finale which was followed by a runner up finish at cs_summit 3 during his time with OpTic Gaming where they were halted by Damian “daps” Steele and his men.
I’m really happy to join Heroic. I look forward to do my outmost and be the player I know I can be, and help both the team and the organization to great results!
Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen
With the addition of these two new players, Heroic now fields:
Casper “cadiaN” Møller
Johannes “b0RUP” Borup
Martin “stavn” Lund
René “TeSeS” Madsen
Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen
Reserves:
Patrick “es3tag” Hansen (benched) (Will join Astralis starting from July 1)
Peter “ppd” Dager is a veteran Dota 2 player and the former CEO of Evil Geniuses. The announcement of him ending his competitive Dota 2 career caught millions of fans off-guard. He also made a statement through a Tweet on this sudden departure.
In his full statement the former TI champion wrote about how he had spent his entire twenties “competing in video game competitions” and that he was “looking for something else” that he didn’t think he could find in his “current position.” He further mentioned that he wanted to focus on his “personal growth rather than competition versus others”. He further said he “didn’t feel bad about it” and that he believed “change is healthy”. He also didn’t forget to thank everyone who believed in him, his fans and haters.
NiP themselves also thanked Peter in their blog post and complimented him by saying he was “now part of the NiP legacy and will be remembered as one of the greats, in NiP and esports alike.” The post was followed by some words from Jonas Gundersen – COO of NiP – and the man ppd himself on him finishing his long journey.
It is truly a sad day in the history of Dota 2. Without any room for doubt, ppd is one of the greatest players to ever have touched the game. His playmaking skills are unmatched to this day and he led his former EG team to victory in The International 2015.
We, along with millions of other Dota 2 fans are certainly saddened by ppd’s decision but this day would come someday. Regardless, we hope for a bright future for the former NiP captain and wish him a splendid thirties’ life.
“Once a Ninja, always a Ninja” – NiP, in their blog post on ppd.
During this COVID-19 pandemic, a lockdown has been implemented throughout India and people have been requested to stay at their homes (not only just in India but all around the world) to be safe from this COVID-19 virus. Delhi and Maharashtra are the two major states that have been heavily affected by COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

In what comes as a stern move, Nodwin Gaming have put their PUBG Mobile caster and host under probation. The actions comes in after TalkEsport reported on the obscene remarks made by Mannu ‘KRAT’ Karki in a CSGO game two days ago.
Where this could also mean that the administration at NODWIN Gaming is exploring some potential action against their executive in action for crossing the line with his conduct in a game on multiple occasions.
The gaming industry in India, specially Elite Groups & CSGO India were not at all convinced with the apology of Mannu after massive outrage. This, however, also means, that this controversy is not over just yet.
Just over an hour after our report on Nodwin Gaming’s host Mannu Karki hurling vulgar abuses on fellow gamers, he has accepted his mistake and apologized.
The CSGO community in India was outraged after a post made against him last evening had gained a lot of traction.
In our report, we had put out the details of our conversation with the victim of this whole incident, Mr. Rushant Malhotra. Where Mr. Malhotra demanded an apology and a stern action from the organization.
Now since Mr. Karki has apologized, the incident seems to have found its shore.
One of India’s faces in esports community is under scanner for allegedly hurling obscene remarks in a CSGO game. The gentleman in question, is at the center of criticism after a CSGO game where he and his lobby mates sledged and conversed in the most invective manner possible.
Not that sledging, or hurling abuses is new to the community, except, in this specific case, the accused is an influencer, believed to be Nodwin Gaming’s host, Mannu ‘Krat’ Karki.
Two days ago, on the 18th of April, in a game of CSGO, the following course of events is believed to have happened, demo is available for everyone to download and investigate. Rushant Malhotra, one of the players accusing Mannu Karki of the remarks made a post on Facebook community, CS:GO India and alleged that his team was verbally abused and threatened.
Rushant Malhotra says, the abuses went so beyond absurdity that at one point they started “threatening to kidnap his family members.” Mr. Malhotra shared with us his traumatic experience and ironically, he has himself worked at Nodwin Gaming as volunteer administrator at one of its major events.
All of these started just spontaneously Rushant says, and no provocation was made by their team to any of the opponents.
Allegations towards Nodwin Gaming, Krat
Rushant says, “to abuse me and my family members, they were using my private information like my residential address, which was only available with Nodwin Gaming.”
At this point, Rushant was clear it was indeed someone from Nodwin Gaming, but he wasn’t sure just yet. Upon digging another further, he found that the Steam account of the abuser had one of the alias, which Mannu Karki indeed uses, ‘OfficialKrat.’
The current profile is completely edited and all the nicknames are removed as it looks right now.The proofs given by Mr. Rushant Malhotra, in which one of alias KrAt, OfficialKrat is clearly visible.
There are umpteen numbers of proofs at our disposal as well, that the gentleman in question appears to be Mr. Mannu ‘Krat’ Karki, beyond a reasonable doubt. However, his official instagram account responded to one of the questions as “Fake.”
Mannu ‘Krat’ Karki is a renowned host and a caster at Nodwin Gaming, he has been a former CSGO and DotA player before joining the likes of Talents at tournament organizers. Whereas, Nodwin Gaming is officially partnered with ESL, Tencent & Blizzard for events in India.
Nirbhaya remark
The incident took a totally wild turn when one of the accused’s lobby mates which goes by the nick “Landkarado” used a sexual abuse to target the family of one Mr. Vaibhav Lakhera. The person behind the nick “LandKarado” made a remark that he will hurt Vaibhav’s family members and “make them victim like Nirbhaya,” (sentence re-framed to curb the absurdity).
The state of rape crimes in India is on the surge, and the fact that gamers use this to threaten opponents is beyond absurdity.
SoStronk bans both the parties
It is also imperative to note that the platform SoStronk, where this game was being played, has banned the account in question alongside one of the guys from the other team. The details of the PUG is available on this link.
Mr. Rushant Malhotra, Vaibhav Lakhera, along with their team at least expects from Nodwin Gaming, as an organization at this point of time, is an unconditional apology, and a stern, substantial action against the accused.
At the time of writing this story, no response from emails to Mannu Karki were received. We will update it once we get a statement.
Some of the screenshots, proofs provided to us are obscene in nature and as a responsible outlet, we will not be making them public.
Virtual.pro are certainly in their peak form at this tournament, defeating 2 time TI champions OG not once, not twice, but thrice. The first victory against OG came in the group stages as a part of their 7-0 clean sweep. They defeated OG 2-0 and made it look easy. The second victory came 6 days later, on April 18th when they again defeated the TI champs 2-0 without giving them a chance to retaliate.
But OG still wouldn’t let them go without a fight. They wanted another rematch against the Russian giants and they made sure they got one by defeating Vikin.gg – probably the most underrated team in the tournament who had previously defeated OG in the group stages.
We're securing our spot the Grand Finals after a confident 2 – 0 against @GGVikin.
GG WP and huge respect for your Lower Bracket run!
But the grand finals of the Europe-Commonwealth of Independent States region of ESL One LA Online couldn’t provide any luck for OG either as they failed to find their revenge against VP.
While the previous two games against the back to back TI champs were seemingly easy for VP to handle, OG surely gave Virtus.pro a run for their money in the grand finals.
The Russian organization who had a flawless run in the entire tournament started the grand finals on the right foot, taking the first map in just under 34 minutes. OG retaliated in game 2, stomping VP 29-4 without leaving any room for mistakes and finished the game with a wonderful black hole coming from the Enigma.
With some exceptional teamwork and a 16-2 performance coming from Sumail’s Storm Spirit, OG managed to take Game 3 by a scoreline of 27-18. Game 4 however, saw VP bringing in all their cards to the table with No[o]one’s Templar Assassin going 22-0 and ending the game with a RAMPAGE.
All the first four games were filled with back and forth thrills and fist-clenching teamfights, but they felt bland compared to what came in game 5 of the series. Till the very end of the last game, it felt impossible to predict which team would come out on top. Both teams played with excellence and viewers could enjoy some quality Dota throughout the 50 minute showdown. After some nerve-wracking teamfights VP were the ones to edge past their opponents with a close scoreline of 34-31.
ESL Dota 2 also tweeted to congratulate VP on their victory against OG.
