Danish Organization Heroic on their twitter has confirmed the signing of Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen to complete their roster.

After loosing Patrick “es3tag” Hansen to Astralis which further resulted in a transfer failure to the Chinese Organization FunPlus Phoenix, team Heroic saw themselves to be in a turmoil after they decided to bring in some “big changes to their roster” upon returning from North America where they played under the banner of FunPlus Phoenix at the Flashpoint 1 tournament. Amidst of these events, Heroic did bench it’s two players, es3tag and Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer from the active lineup.

In a bid to search for two new players to complete their roster, Heroic decided to bring in Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen who until now had been a free agent along with an earlier signing which featured René “TeSeS” Madsen join the former from Copenhagen Flames where the team crashed to 12th position in Flashpoint 1.

The 21yo Danish player had previously represented Heroic from 2016-2018 before he went on to play for North, Rogue, and OpTic. While in his tenure with North, he did help the latter to dominate at the DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 where they outclassed their Danish Counterparts team Astralis, toppling them 2-1 in the Grand Finale which was followed by a runner up finish at cs_summit 3 during his time with OpTic Gaming where they were halted by Damian “daps” Steele and his men.

I’m really happy to join Heroic. I look forward to do my outmost and be the player I know I can be, and help both the team and the organization to great results!
