CSGOREP Steam Group Banned For Violating Steam Rules & Guidelines

If you’ve been involved with trading CSGO skins at some point then you’re probably aware of CSGOREP and may have even used it in the past to verify the users you’re trading with. However, it appears like CSGO trading is about to get a whole lot riskier as Steam has banned the official CSGOREP group for violating the Steam ToS.

For the non-traders out there, CSGOREP is a Steam group that allowed users to check the reputation of others they trade with. Members used to earn reputation tokens for each successful cash trade, making it a reliable method to check out potential scammers and verify legitimate traders.

It was an extremely popular group, especially among high tier traders, and not to mention it was the biggest group of its kind.

Needless to say, fans are not happy about this move by Steam. Users are complaining that this can increase the chances of traders getting scammed by a margin and make it difficult for legitimate traders to make a good reputation for themselves.

Steam hasn’t specified why exactly has the group been banned, but they did state that the group has violated the ‘Steam Community Rules and Guidelines.’ It’s also unclear if there’s a possibility of the group returning in the future.

For now, users have to rely on other websites like SteamRep to check the authenticity of the players they’re trading with, which can often be less reliable than CSGOREP. SteamRep is a third-party website that allows users to check a user’s profile for all sorts of bans.

Valve reveal 2021 Dota Pro Circuit dates; push back new hero introduction

Valve have released a Dota 2 blog to iterate a host of information about upcoming changes and the 2021 pro circuit.

The release of the new hero has been pushed back to be aligned with patch update 7.28. Valve will also initiate the mechanism of data tracking that will ultimately culminate in an Overwatch system quite like their FPS game, Csgo. The overwatch will be a community based mechanism that will help weed out the irregularities and anomalies in terms of cheaters and griefers.

DPC 2021 Date:

As far as the 2021 pro circuit is concerned, it is scheduled to begin from January 18, with a two – division 16 teams league system in place for 6 regions. The top teams from each region will subsequently qualify for the first major. Further details about the circuit will be released soon.

Valve also iterated that the rank reset will happen on December 1, when the new ranking season commences and that there will be a new treasure collection with it to look forward to for the fans.

Out of all the mentioned changes, the 2021 pro circuit is the most intriguing one. The tiered regional league system seems to be a hit in popular esports titles right now and it will be interesting to see how it affects the region’s growth or helps in sustaining the scene thereof.

Phasmophobia Teases New Prison Level

Kinetic Games have teased gamers with yet another still of the horror game “Phasmophobia”, posting two images on their Twitter handle.

The game, available through early access on Steam, has caught the attention of well known streamers that has caused it to surge through to being the 6th most popular game on Twitch and the best selling game on Steam globally.

The two images, although not telling, do give some clues to users about the design and gameplay of the map. One of them shows the inside of a cell, which could mean that players could move in and out of it to use it as a hiding spot. The other, a shower room in a prison, does not reveal too much either.

Kinetic had earlier stated that the map would be a medium sized one. The fans of the game reacted very positively to the tweet, with many appreciating the asthetics and feel of the map.

While there is no release date given by Kinetic, it can be expected that it will be dropped soon.

The grand finale of First Strike – UMG North-America has eventually concluded with Team SoloMid (TSM) being the champions. The event hosted star-studded lineups of 16 teams throughout the region. The teams were divided into four groups comprising four teams each.

The group stage was hosted in a double-elimination best-of-three format with the top two teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs were single-elimination best-of-three matches while the grand finale between TSM and FaZe Clan was a five map clash.

On the line were four slots at the upcoming First Strike North-America main event. The $100,000 event will be hosted later this year between December 03-06. The main event will consist of four top teams each from First Strike NSG NA and First Strike UMG NA tournaments.

Team Envy, 100 Thieves, Sentinels and Renegades have already qualified for the event through First Strike NSG NA while TSM, FaZe Clan, T1 and Immortals have qualified through the recently concluded First Strike UMG NA. The winner will be the ultimate victor of the region.

While both the finalists were drawn in the same group, TSM had also comfortably defeated FaZe Clan in the winners’ match of group B. The finale as well was a similar affair. TSM bagged the initial two maps – Haven and Bind 13-9 respectively. FaZe Clan decimated their opponents 13-6 on Split, but the comeback was short-lived as TSM secured the finale 13-3 on Ascent to mark their dominance and grab the top spot.

Glorious Model O

Although Glorious is a newcomer to the gaming industry, they are trying hard to capture the market. The Glorious Model O comes with a honeycomb design that is very comfortable for gaming. This mouse is really good, especially for FPS games. You can hit targets with flicks easily because of its 68 grams weight.

The mouse doesn’t come with a braided cable. However, the cable is quite flexible. Moreover, the mouse comes with PixArt 3360, Omron switches, and RGB lighting. You can customize all the settings using the software provided by Glorious. Be a right-handed or a left-handed user, this mouse will suit you well.

SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless

Aerox 3 is a wireless gaming mouse made by SteelSeries. The weight of the mouse is 66 grams. Quite surprising for a wireless gaming mouse! Isn’t it? Well, Aerox 3 Wireless comes with TrueMove Air optical sensor and a “Quantum 2.0” 2.4 GHz wireless connection. Don’t worry about the cable. It’s quite flexible.

You will get around 80 hours of battery life while using the highest settings. Therefore, you can boost the battery life by disabling RGB and heading to Bluetooth instead of a 2.4GHz low-latency connection. While discussing battery life, let me tell you that you can charge the mouse with any USB-C fast charging cable that you use on your smartphone or any other device.

Asus ROG Pugio 2

Previously, we knew that wireless gaming mice can’t stand in front of wired mice due to high-latency issue. However, Asus showed us the path by launching Pugio 2, one of the best gaming mouses available in the market. The mouse packs amazing hardware including both a 2.4GHz wireless connection and Bluetooth.

Not only that but also the design of the mouse is superb. The grip is quite good if you play a lot of FPS games. This 102 grams mouse has Omron switches along with PixArt 3335 sensor. What else? You can customize the mouse. Yes! You can remove the ROG logo located on the backside and also create your own RGB-illuminated drawing.

SteelSeries Rival 3

SteelSeries launched Rival 3 for budget gamers. If you have a small or medium hand and you don’t want to spend too much on a gaming mouse, then Rival 3 is for you. The mouse comes with a very light plastic body along with a TrueMove Core sensor. This mouse also has RGB lighting. Although the left-side buttons are quite slim, overall the mouse is really great for budget gamers all over the world.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

Looking for the best wireless gaming mouse? Go for Logitech G Pro Wireless. While it was being tested, Logitech G Pro Wireless was found with the same latency that a wired gaming mouse has.

The mouse weighs 80 grams. The power-efficient optical sensor saves a lot of energy making the battery life longer. The design is great, the buttons are clicky and very responsive. There is nothing more to say about that mouse. You will become speechless once you use this mouse. Numerous pro-gamers and streamers use that mouse.

Logitech G502

Logitech G502 is very famous for its ergonomic design. The mouse has whooping 11 buttons along with an infinite scroll wheel. It has the legendary Logitech Hero Optical sensor that is really fast and reliable. Logitech also launched a new wireless version of G502. You can add more weights to the mouse if you need. That’s why it’s not only good for gaming but also for productivity. Both the wired and wireless versions of G502 are great.

Razer DeathAdder V2

Razer DeathAdder V2 is one of the most famous gaming mouses. All of the mouse buttons have optical switches to reduce delay. It also prevents you from double click issues. I won’t recommend this mouse to games that have small hands. If you have a medium or large hand, go for it.
