Skye is the newest agent to enter the world of Valorant. Released on October 27th, the Australian agent packs a skillset that any player would love to have in their team. Today, we take a look at the voice actor behind Skye.

As many of you would have guessed, Skye is played by an Australian voice actor named Mirana O’Hare.

Before Valorant, O’Hare has been a part of a number of other TV shows, movies, and video games where she played some roles herself or voiced other characters.

O’Hare is originally from Cambra, Australia, but moved to Sydney during her late teenage years. As revealed by herself, she auditioned for the character of Skye amid quarantine around April and got the role.

As revealed by the voice actor, Skye originally had a very different name. O’Hare said that Skye’s name was supposed to be ‘Emily’ instead, the character which she auditioned for. The developers changed the name later.

For those of you wondering, O’Hare isn’t an avid gamer herself. In fact, when she reached the audition and was told that it was for Valorant, she had no idea what Valorant was.

“When I got there, they told me it was for Valorant, which, to be totally honest, I didn’t know what it was ‘cause I don’t play games or anything like that,” she said during an interview.

KRIMZ Vac Ban related to Esportal anticheat

Earlier, the csgo scene was rocked by the news of Freddy ‘KRIMZ’ Johansson receiving a VAC Ban on his Steam account.

The Fnatic rifler took to Twitter to appeal to Valve and the CSGO developers to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

However, it seems this is another case of a third-party anticheat causing the bans. This time around, the anti-cheat in question is that of Swedish MatchMaking portal Esportal, which seems to have caused this to a handful of Swedish csgo players; professional and otherwise.

This is the second such case after a host of Asian pros received VAC Bans on their accounts, which were accredited or found to have correlation with the fact that they all played on Asian MatchMaking portal 5E.

Esportal have issued a statement iterating that they have entered into a dialogue with Valve to rectify whatever is causing the issue and have also responded to a user on Twitter, stating that they are waiting for confirmations and/or from Valve.

We are aware of the situation regarding VAC bans. We have reached out to CSGO for more information surrounding this. We see no reason to be worried, our developers are waiting for contact from Valve and it will probably be solved soon.

Interestingly, it seems Esportal is not solely responsible as Swedish Counter Strike legend Christopher ‘Get_RighT’ Alesund highlighted that he is a frequent user of the Esportal platform and that he did not receive a ban.

For looking into this vac bans that happened today or similar, it seems to be connected to AC of esportal that affected some people.. I’m just wondering if it’s random? Since I played esportal yesterday and I haven’t received a ban

Popular Canadian member of parliament Jagmeet Singh yesterday streamed Among Us with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for more than 5 hours for the first time, continuing the theme of politicians getting involved in streaming in front of a live audience.

AOC, who started the trend a few weeks back by playing with popular streamers like DisguisedToast, Pokimane and Valkyrae, joined Jagmeet Singh in Among Us this time, and the two hit it off instantly, discussing politics in their respective countries.

Singh, whose video of responding to a racist at a town hall event went viral, did have a bit of practice in playing this game prior to the stream; however, he was still a bit rusty, missing easy chances to kill and not venting at all. It did not help though that he was the imposter most of the time.

While the stream, which also featured popular political commentator and streamer, HasanAbi did not hit the heights of AOC’s first among us stream, it did rake up more than 100k concurrent viewers, which meant that the reason for holding this stream in the first place, to raise money for eviction victims’ legal aid and food pantries, was a huge hit. AOC in the course of the stream raised more than $200,000 in funds.

“We did it! $200k raised in one live stream for eviction defence, food pantries, and more. This is going to make such a difference for those who need it most right now,” she later said on Twitter.

Jagmeet and AOC talked a lot about politics and national policy throughout the stream, while also praising each other. The highlight of the stream,however, was when the 2 of them were paired together as imposters and won the game. “AOC president, Jagmeet Singh prime minister, it’s the future,” Singh said.

The success of the stream has encouraged Singh to consider more such sessions in the future in the hope of connecting with the younger audience and convincing them of his ideology. It seems encouraging as many leaders of NDP, his party, have expressed an interest in collaborating in the future.

As Chapter 2, Season 4 is nearing its climax, Fortnite introduces the conqueror of the world Galactus. Fortnite’s partnership with Marvel continues as the supervillain from the coming world makes his entrance in the final stages of Season 4. Epic games say he will pay the island a visit on 1 December for the ultimate battle where players need to join forces with one another to save the island.

WHEN IS THE START TIME FOR THE GALACTUS EVENT IN FORTNITE?

Galactus reaches the Island on 1st December at 4 p.m. ET, which will mark the start of the event. Players will need to come together in order to protect their beloved island, which Galactus has set his eyes on.

WHAT DAY IS THE FORTNITE GALACTUS EVENT?

Fortnite Galactus Event kicks off on 1st December and is expected to be the most exciting event to date. For the finale of the season 4 chapter 2; Epic Games will likely introduce an Epic conclusion, to which Galactus seems fitting.
