Report: shox In Talks to Join Team Liquid

According to a report by ‘neLendirekt’ from 1pv.fr, Richard ‘shox’ Papillon might be on his way to Team Liquid, after Team Vitality decided to undergo a roster overhaul after their Quarter Final exit at PGL Stockholm.

It was ‘neL’ that broke the news of Vitality parting ways with ‘Kyojin’, ‘shox’ and coach ‘XTQZZZ’ and signing the Danish trio of ‘Magisk’, ‘dupreeh’ and ‘Zonic’ to replace them. ‘neL’ has been a trusted source of news in CS:GO for a long time, especially about the French scene.

Team Liquid have also been looking at possible changes, after their Major run was less than satisfying as they couldn’t make it to the playoffs, winning only 1 game in the Legends Stage vs ENCE, and losing to Entropiq, FURIA and FaZe Clan.

It was rumoured that ‘FalleN’ would be reuniting with his MIBR/SK/LG teammates – ‘coldzera’, ‘fnx’ and ‘fer’. It wouldn’t be surprising that they would part ways with the Brazilian IGL as his addition hasn’t delivered the results they desired.

Current Valorant pro for 100 Thieves Nick ‘nitro’ Cannella was also seen grinding FACEIT with ‘EliGE’ and Liquid coach ‘AdreN’ a few days ago and upcomer reported that his future with 100 Thieves may not be secure. All these point to a return to CS:GO, but we don’t know anything concrete for sure.

If things go right between ‘shox’ and TL, we may see him representing the North Americans in the 2022 CS:GO season, which is bound to bring surprises.

The developers at Riot have decided to commemorate their forthcoming series, Arcane on Netflix based on their MOBA game League of Legends by introducing a special event, RiotX Arcane and in addition, have added a special battle-pass and collectors set to be scored during the event.

This event will run from November 5-22 and may also require you to connect your Twitch account with that of Valorant.

A free for all battle pass was recently deployed by Riot into their first-person tactical shooter, Valorant as a part of the brand new Netflix series, Arcane.

The content which will be made available during this event will be based on the series and the game League of Legends.

It’s been learnt that the special collectors set would have a purple and golden-themed sheriff and would be the only item in the set and does resemble the theme of Jinx, the main protagonist of the Riot’s Netflix series.

As we all know Arcane is to be revealed in three acts across the month of November with the first already released on November 6 while the rest two parts dropping on the dates 14 and 20 respectively.

GTA Trilogy: Not All Cheats From Previous Games Will Work In Remastered Games

0

Ahead of the release of the much-awaited GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, developers at Rockstar games confirmed that some of the cheats from the original games might not work in the remastered version of the game.

The remastered versions of GTA III, GTA San Andreas, and GTA Vice City include various changes to the game engine and the overall working of the game. Due to these changes and other technical issues, some of the older cheats weren’t implemented.

While most cheats from the old games look set to return in their remasters, Rockstar made an announcement and said:

“We actually had to remove a couple for technical reasons, certain things that didn’t play well in the Unreal base,” producer Rich Rosado says in an interview with USA Today. “But that’s actually where I’ll leave it. There’s some fun with discovery. I’m not saying plus or minus, but I’d rather not just go right on the nose before the release of the game and go straight to the end credits.”

Since the games were re-implemented on a new game engine, some cheats were not added to the game. It means that you can’t enable those cheats as they are not present in the game data right now. Maybe in the future, those cheats will be added to the game in an update or modded later.

Also do note that using cheat codes in the GTA Trilogy will lock players out of unlocking certain trophies and achievements. Cheats are also carried through new saves on the same character, so before using a cheat in your current playthrough remember to keep a backup of your clean “save game” and then use cheats. You can go back to your old clean save files and continue with the trophy and achievement hunt.

Right now the game is in a very unstable and unplayable state. The launch of the game was disastrous and the current version of the game is riddled with bugs and glitches that need immediate attention from the developers.

All Halo Infinite Multiplayer Edition Rumors Point To An Early Release Today

0

Today is the 20th anniversary of the legendary Halo series and Xbox. As per some rumours flying around the internet, Microsoft may announce the early launch of the Halo Infinite Multiplayer today during the Xbox Anniversary Event.

Amid the ongoing rumours, a brand new trailer for the Halo Infinite live-action series “Lightbringers” was published today showing off the backstory of how Master Chief got his exoskeleton technology. A line from the video reads:

“After the bombardment of a UNSC excavation site, colonial miners volunteered to extract an ore critical to the Master Chief’s exoskeleton despite the threat of the cave collapsing.”

This teaser further solidifies the rumours of an early Multiplayer launch announcement today. As announced before the launch, Halo Infinite Multiplayer Edition will be standalone and “free-2-play”.

Halo Hub, a dedicated Halo outlet also claims that a playable demo of the campaign will be available today with the launch of Multiplayer Edition. Also, they noted that the popular streamers and gaming personalities know about this information but can’t say anything as they are currently under NDA.

Regardless of the NDA, notable Youtuber — NatetheHate, who was one of the original leakers “confirming” the multiplayer rollout, is now saying that the multiplayer release itself has been delayed due to an unexpected bug with the demo that was letting people access the full story, and 343 is rushing to fix it.  But it will still launch on November 15th (today).

While notable leaker — HaloDotAPI, said the Multiplayer Edition will drop a few days later than the 15th but the servers will go live on Monday.

An earlier listing on Microsoft Store was also spotted which referred to the 11-15-21 date as release date which now read 12-8-21 instead. Even some devs were spotted playing the multiplayer matches, and allegedly some are telling friends privately to “take tomorrow off work.”

Pringles also had a countdown timer running tied to a Halo promotion event that indicated some form of gameplay would start on Monday (i.e 15th November), but by the end of the day, they removed the countdown timer from the event page.

Currently, Halo Infinite will officially release on 8th December on all platforms and will be available “day one” on the Xbox Game Pass. We have to wait a few more hours for any confirmed news as every rumour points to the Xbox Anniversary event today scheduled to start at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET and will be streamed live on Twitch.tv/Xbox

Sony Cuts Down PlayStation 5 Production Targets By 1 Million Units

0

Customers looking to get the Sony PlayStation 5 might have to wait a while longer as the production of the console might be delayed or reduced due to the ongoing global chip and material shortage.

As per a report by Bloomberg, Sony has cut down the production forecast of the PlayStation 5 for 2021-22 “due to component and logistics constraints”. People familiar with the operations told Bloomberg that the media giant is having a hard time in securing the required chips and components for the production of the PS5 console.

Due to the global shortage and supply constraints, the company plans to cut down its forecast of producing 16 million units this fiscal to now producing 15 million units. Slashing the forecast by 1 million units will make it difficult for the company to meet its target of 14.8 million units sold by March 2022.

This information is currently not public, so investors and other interested parties don’t know much about the internal discussion for the time being. It is expected that Sony will make it public in its next investors’ meeting.]

Aside from PS5, Nintendo has also mulled over reducing its sales target for “Switch” family consoles by 1.5M units. Valve has also announced a “two-month delay” in the launch of its upcoming Steam Deck console which now launches next year in Feb 2022.  Leading chip makers have also hinted at global shortages to continue for the most part of 2022 and only get better in 2023.

Sony PlayStation 5 is currently the fastest-selling game console in the USA but is only second to the leader Nintendo Switch in the number of units sold. With the ongoing shortage and planned production cuts, the Nintendo Switch is on track to claim the “Fastest Selling” game console title.

Pokimane talks about the adverse effects of Valorant on her life

0

Imane Anys aka Pokimane has explained why she has been spending less time with Valorant, which is arguably the most popular game around. Even though she loves the game, there are facets to it that she doesn’t appreciate.

Valorant has taken the world by storm and everyone is playing it but it can’t be said that the experience has been the same for all. Pokimane for one has encountered several acts of misogyny, toxicity, and sexism when playing the game which has been “exhausting” for her, which is why the daily hours she spends in the game has reduced significantly.

“I love Valorant so much, but I frequently feel like my life would be better off playing it less. Opening myself up to 4 other people’s toxicity & sexism every single game is simply exhausting,” read her Tweet on her alt account.

https://twitter.com/imane/status/1459790782655655936

Toxicity is something everyone deals with when playing competitive games. Even though there are measures taken to keep it in control, a game cannot truly be free of these things as long as it remains competitive.

This is not a problem that can be vanished overnight, so the best way around it is for gamers to realize and be responsible when playing the game and consider the profound impact that their behavior can have on the lives of others.

fnatic Overcome BIG to Win DreamHack Open November 2021

0

The Swedish-English side didn’t lose a single map on their way to the final, and then swept the Germans 3-0 in a Bo5 Final to take the title home.

After a year and a half of underwhelming results during the Coronavirus pandemic, things are finally looking up for fnatic. The 3 time Major winning org, parted ways with ‘flusha’ first, to add ‘Jackinho’. Then they also benched veteran ‘JW’  and ‘Golden’ to add ‘ALEX’ and ‘mezii’, the ex-Cloud9 duo. They then signed ‘smooya’, placing their trust in him after his shock benching/stepping down from BIG right before the Katowice 2019 Major saw him out of any tier 1 teams for 2.5 years.

The British core of a new look fnatic has been on the up ever since, first qualifying for IEM Winter with him and now winning DreamHack Open November with a flawless run.

‘Brollan’ found his 2019 groove again as he was awarded the MVP for the event with a 1.40 rating across 9 maps. Smooya and mezii too had ratings of 1.27 and 1.23 to help their side secure the title, their first win at an event that wasn’t a qualifier in 19 months.

In the final fnatic annihilated BIG on Inferno, winning 16-3 with a tremendous showing on the T side with 12 rounds. BIG couldnt do anything and succumbed to a defeat easily.

Vertigo was a close call, with both sides showing good defenses, as fnatic posted 10 on theirs. BIG retaliated with a stellar showing as well and the score was even at 12-12 at one point, but the Swede-English team pulled through to win 16-12.

Ancient was even  closer, with the closest score line of 8-7 at the half in favour of BIG. fnatic then showed their masterclass on the CT side, playing their second official on the map EVER, no one expected this out of them. ‘tabseN’s men couldn’t do much on the T side as they got only 2 rounds as fnatic won the map 16-10 with ease. Brollan had 25 kills and a 1.82 rating on the last map to keep it sailing smoothly for his side.

It was only fitting that the team which won the FIRST DreamHack Open event in CS:GO would win the last one as well. After the takeover of DH by ESL, DH Open events would be renamed to ESL Challengers, and teams would compete in the tournament under
